Abstract

ABSTRACT  A. dorsata bees is one of the bees only growing forest region in the subtropical and tropical Asia and is not found outside of Asia . A. dorsata living in a colony , consisting of a queen bee, bees worker , and drones  bees measuving morphological characteristics of the bee is very important for bee taxonomist to put some type of bee into a particular caste , in the measurement of morphological characters of  bees worker is always selected as the sample trial because the worker bees every day activities related to the environment where the bees. In connection with that have done research on Morphology Study bees worker Apis dorsata Fabr . ( Hymenoptera : Apidae ) Sijunjung Aggregation in April- May 2013 with the aim to determine the morphology of A. dorsata worker aggregation . This research uses descriptive survey method is by way of direct collection of A. dorsata were found in the location study . than  morphometric measurements in the laboratory . From the results of research on morphological studies of worker bees Apis dorsata Fabr . ( Hymenoptera : Apidae) ) in Sijunjung aggregation is derived morphological characters of different sizes in Cu a real , Rs1 , R4 , NH , Ti , while highly significant in R1 .

Abstract

 Thrips populations sp . in Kampung Batu Solok District of Twin Lakes in pepper can reduce the production of vegetables . One of the vegetables contained in this stone village area is chili . The chili is a community that is relatively important and very popular all over the world , and loved by the community chili has low calories and contains vitamin C which is high for a chili fruit contains 20 calories with no fat at all In this regard it has done research on the population density of Thrips sp . ( Thysanoptera : Thripidae ) in pepper in Kampung Batu Twin Lakes District of Solok which aims to determine the population density of Thrips sp . in pepper This study was conducted in September-November 2013, with a descriptive survey method is by way of direct collection against Thrips sp. the research sites. The area used as a study about 30x 20 m. Sampling was conducted on pepper plants already have flowers and pepper plants that have fruit. Physical environmental factors that will be measured are temperature, humidity , and soil moisture . From the research conducted characteristics Thrips sp. found in pepper in Kampung Batu subdistrict Twin Lakes ie, black slim body shape , and jet black , and the wings are fringed and have segmented bodies . The results were obtained an average population density of Thrips sp. on pepper plants that have gained interest of 3.87 individuals / stem and the fruit of pepper plants that have gained 2.92 individual / stem.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The population of aphids (Aphis gossypii) in Kampung Batu Kembar lake district of Solok decrease the production of vegetables. One of the vegetables that there are in the areas of this Batu village is potatoes. The purpose of this study was to determine the population density of Aphis gossypii on potato in Kampung Batu Kembar Lake District of Solok. This study was conducted in September-November 2013 with a descriptive survey method by direct collection against A. gossypii existing research in the location. Field sampling conducted on potato tubers and grow new potatoes will be  harvested a  month. Physical environmental factors measured are temperature, pH  and  soil  moisture. Widely used  as  a  study area  of about 30  x  20  m.  The characteristics of A. gossypii were found on potato in Kampung Batu subdistrict Kembar Lake are body size from 1.1 to 3 mm , konikel one pair , there are winged and wingless and there are a variety of body colors such as black, green, and yellow. From the research that has been conducted on potato in Kampung Batu Kembar Lake District of Solok was concluded on potato tubers grown induvidu obtained 7.69 / month clumps and the potatoes will be harvested obtained 4.6 induvidu / clump. Population density of A. gossypii were found already passed the threshold of pest control.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Dragonflies (Odonata:  Libellulidae)  have  an  important  role  in  rice  field  ecosystem. Dragonflies can serve as an indicator to monitor the water quality of surrounding environment and predators on crop pests of rice, in addition to the dragonfly also play a  role in  health and agriculture. Crocothemis servilia is commonly found in rice crops. So far there are no data on the density of dragonflies (Odonata) including dragonfly C. servilia in the District of Kuranji Anduring. The purpose of this study was to determine the population density of  C. servilia dragonflies (Odonata: Libellulidae) on Rice Planting in Anduring Kuranji District of Padang in West Sumatra. This study was conducted in January-February 2014, with a descriptive survey method. It is by way of direct collection of the C. servilia existing research in the location. Field sampling done at night on dry rice and wet rice fields when the bright moon and new moon. Physical environmental factors measured are temperature and humidity. The area used as a place of research about + 1 Ha. The characteristics of C. servilia which are found are the average length of the male dragonfly C. servilia abdomen is 30 mm long and 27 mm in females. Body of male colored blood red and the female body colered yellow, have teeth, rear wing wider than the front wing, transparent wings with wing base yellowish, eyes slightly purplish red bull and there is a black line along the abdomen . While the female abdomen is yellowish brown with a bla ck stripe along its abdomen, have compound eyes and a pair of antennae are short and fine size. The average of  population density of C. servilia in the rice fields location of Anduring Kuranji District of Padang in West Sumatra on dry fields individu/m2 is 0.15, and the wet rice fields (aqueous) was0.09 individu/m2 .

Abstract

Cassava is tropical plants, productive and easily cultivated so it is expected to be one of the solutions to improve Indonesia's national food security. Mocaf is fermented cassava flour products using microorganisms. Mocaf is expected to replace the use of wheat flour which its necessity is escalated through the ages, while the area of wheat as a raw material is not fitted the climate of Indonesia. This research performed some sort of branded food yeast for producing Mocaf, taken for instance Fermipan, Saf-Instant yeast, tempe raprima yeast, tapai yeast, and unbranded bread yeast. It also would be analyzed the effect of soaking cassava with salt before fermentation, to nutrients generated by Mocaf. The objective of this research was knowing the types of yeast and fermentation process that is best in improving the nutritional quality of Mocaf. The best produced Mocaf in this research was made from fermented Mocaf using tapai yeast which was soaked with salt. It produced the highest level of protein i.e 40.860%, with low water levels i.e 6.640 %.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengenai pengaruh iradasi Gamma terhadap sifat listrik film tipis grafit. Film tipis grafit dideposisi dengan  menggunakan metode DC-Unbalanced Magnetron Sputtering. SEM digunakan untuk melihat morfologi permukaan dan ketebalan sampel. Lapisan tipis grafit diperoleh dengan permukaan yang homogen dengan ketebalan    12,08 μm. Pengukuran sifat listrik dilakukan dengan menggunakan LCR-meter, dengan variasi dosis radiasi dari sinar Gamma. Konduktivitas tertinggi diperoleh dengan pemberian dosis radiasi sebanyak 400 kGy, yaitu 0,6372 μS/cm. Konduktivitas lapisan tipis grafit meningkat seiring dengan meningkatnya  dosis radiasi yang diberikan.   Katakunci: DC-Unbalanced Magnetron Sputtering: grafit, lapisan tipis, radiasi         Gamma

Abstract

Komposit menjadi salah  satu material  teknik yang banyak diteliti  beberapa tahun  belakang ini karena memiliki sifat fisis, mekanik dan termal yang baik sehingga sangat banyak diaplikasikan di bidang industri. Selain itu,  komposit juga diketahui berpeluang untuk digunakan  sebagai  material  penyerap bunyi. Hal ini menjadikan komposit sebagai material yang berdaya-guna optimal baik dari segi fisis, mekanik, termal ataupun akustik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh orientasi serat pada sifat akustik (serapan bunyi) komposit serat pinang. Pada penelitian ini, serat pinang digunakan sebagai filler dari komposit bermatrik resin epoxy. Fraksi volume antara serat pinang dan resin epoxy adalah 60%:40 %. Sebelum dibuat menjadi papan komposit, orientasi serat divariasikan dengan orientasi 0°-0°, 0°-45°, 0°-90° dan  acak.  Pengukuran  koefisien  absorpsi suara dilakukan  dengan  menggunakan  Tabung Impedansi (Impedance Tube). Hasil penelitian menyatakan koefisien serapan bunyi optimum diperoleh pada orientasi  serat 0°-90° dengan  α = 0,98 pada frekuensi 1500 Hz. Hal ini menunjukkan  bahwa komposit serat pinang mampu menyerap bunyi dengan baik, sesuai dengan standar ISO 11654:1997.

Abstract

ABSTRAK---Orthosiphon stamineus B (Indonesia: Kumis Kucing) merupakan salah satu tumbuhan sangat popular sebagai sumber pengobatan herbal, pada umumnya dikumpulkan dari pulau Jawa. Aktivitas biologis, terutama akivitas antioksidan yang ditunjukkan oleh tanaman ini diduga disebabkan olehsenyawa golongan fenolat, khususnya senyawa flavonoid. Oleh sebab itu, penelitian ini bertujuan menentukan total fenolat, total flavonoid dan aktivitas antioksidan dari ekstrak metanol beserta fraksi fraksinya dari tanaman kumis kucing yang tumbuh di Indonesia, khususnya di daerah Bandungan, Kabupaten Semarang, Provinsi Jawa Tengah, perlu dilakukan. Secara garis besar, penelitian dibagi menjadi empat tahap, yakni perolehan total ekstrak metanol, diikuti dengan tahap fraksinasi melalui gradien pelarut, kemudian analisis total fenolat dan flavonoid, dan diakhiri dengan analisis aktivitas antioksidan terhadap tiap-tiap ekstrak. Analisis total fenolat dilakukan dengan metode Folin-Ciocalteu, analisis flavonoid dilakukan berdasarkan cara kerja Rohman, dan aktivitas antioksidan ditentukan dengan metode peredaman radikal DPPH.. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kandungan total fenolat dan flavonoid terbesar berada dalam ekstrak etil asetat berturut-turut sebesar 559 mg asam galat ekuivalen/g ekstrak dan 3550 mg kuersetin ekuivalen/g ekstrak. Aktivitas antioksidan tertinggi juga dimiliki oleh ekstrak etil asetat dengan nilai EC50 sebesar 51,02 μg/mL. Nilai aktivitas antioksidan yang ditunjukkan oleh semua fraksi dalam daun kumis kucing sangat memungkinkan bahan ini dapat digunakan sebagai sumber antioksidan.Kata Kunci: kumis kucing, Orthosiphon stamineus, total fenolat, total flavonoid, antioksidan ABSTRACT---Orthosiphon stamineus B (Lamiaceae) is a popular medicinal herb in South-east Asia, it was originated in Java Island and is well known by name of “Kumis Kucing.”. The biological activityof this plant, especially the antioxidant activity, is caused by the presence of compounds from phenolic group, especially come from flavonoid compounds. Therefore, the aim of this research is to determine total phenolic, total flavonoid and antioxidant activity analysis of methanol extract and its fractions of Orthosiphon stamineus B from Indonesia, especially Bandungan, Kabupaten Semarang, Jawa Tengah. The method of this research is consists of dried leaf extraction by methanolic, partition with solvent gradient, analysis of total phenolic and flavonoid content and antioxidant activity analysis. The total phenolic content analyzed by Folin-Ciocalteau method, total flavonoid content analyzed by Rohman method and antioxidantactivity analyzed by DPPH. radical scavenging method. The result showed that the highest phenolic and flavonoid content is in the ethyl acetate extract with value 559 mg gallic acid equivalent/g extract and 3550mg quercetin equivalent/g extract, respectively. The ethyl acetate has the strongest antioxidant activity with51.02 μg/mL of EC50 value. The finally antioxidant activity is shown in all extract of Indonesian Orthosiphonstamineus B can be used as antioxidant source.Keywords: Orthosiphon stamineus, kumis kucing, total phenolic, total flavonoid, antioxidant activity

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the influence of organizational culture on organizational commitment, the influence of employee empowerment on organizational commitment, the influence of organizational culture on employee performance, the effect of empowerment on employee performance and the influence of organizational commitment to employee performance. This studys population was employees. This study used survey methods, sampling and questionnaires as primary data collection tool. The sample used was simple random sampling. The samples used as many as 109 respondents with data analysis using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The results showed that there was significant influence of organizational culture and employee empowerment on organizational commitment whereas the level of the organizational culture variables, variable of employee empowerment and organizational commitment were less in affecting employee performance variables.
