Abstract

Abstract. Inter-Students Social Harmony through Bilingual Program Implementation of Math Course. This study aims at developing (1) student textbook, (2) student worksheets, and (3) instructional plans written in English and taught bilingually. The long term goal is the establishment of cooperation and social harmonization among the students. This employs research and development (R & D) method. The results of the data analysis show (1) the way to build social harmony among the students while helping them understand mathematics is bilingual-based instruction, (2) the factors affecting the implementation of the bilingual program is native language, social interaction under the local/ethnicity viscosity, and basic math skills of students as background knowledge to understanding of the instruction.   Abstrak. Harmoni Sosial Antarmahasiswa Melalui Implementasi Bilingual Program dalam Perkuliahan Matematika. Penelitian ini berfokus untuk menghasilkan (1) buku ajar mahasiswa, (2) lembar kerja mahasiswa, dan (3) rencana pelaksanaan perkuliahan yang ditulis dalam bahasa Inggris dan diajarkan dengan bilingual. Tujuan jangka panjang adalah terjalinnya hubungan kerja sama dan harmonisasi sosial antarmahasiswa. Metode yang digunakan adalah Research and Development (R&D). Hasil analisis data menunjukkan (1) cara membangun harmoni sosial antarmahasiswa sekaligus membantu pemahaman matematika adalah perangkat pembelajaran berbasis Bilingual Program, (2) faktor yang memengaruhi implementasi Bilingual Program adalah bahasa ibu, interaksi sosial dengan nilai kekentalan daerah/etnis, dan kemampuan dasar matematika mahasiswa yang menjadi bekal awal dalam memahami perangkat pembelajaran.   Kata kunci: harmoni sosial, pembelajaran matematika, program bilingual

Abstract

This activity was carried out with the aim of: (1) Increasing teacher knowledge in processing and analyzing research data; (2) Developing teacher awareness and knowledge about the importance of data management in research data analysis; (3) Improving the insight, ability and skills of teachers in utilizing data to make it more informative by analyzing data using excel software; and (4) Reducing the number of teachers who perform data processing and analysis intuitively and manually in the computing era. The results of the implementation of this activity were: (1) The knowledge of teachers in processing and analyzing research data was increased; (2) The awareness and knowledge of teachers about the importance of processing and analyzing research data were developed; (3) The insight, ability and skills of teachers in utilizing data to be more informative with proper data processing and analysis were improved; and (4) The number of teachers who perform data processing and analysis intuitively and manually in the computing era was reduced. Abstrak Pengolahan data menggunakan Anaysis Toolspack dilakukan dalam bentuk pelatihan bagi guru-guru di Kab. Barru bekerjasama dengan UPT SMA Negeri 1 Barru Kabupaten Takalar. Pelatihan bertempat di SMA Negeri 1 Barru Kabupaten Barru dan dilaksanakan secara daring dengan menggunakan Zoom. Tujuan dari pelatihan ini adalah agar guru terampil dalam menggunakan paket statistik yang dimiliki Excel untuk mengolah data dan mengolah data menjadi satu informasi. Hasil pelatihan menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata kemampuan guru dalam menggunakan statistika pada paket excel analysis tools pack dalam mengolah dan mengolah data setelah pelatihan lebih baik (meningkatkan) daripada sebelum pelatihan.

Abstract

The study aimed at discovering the use of animation media on Mathematics learning at Islamic School (MTs.) Paitana Jeneponto which covered the description on students’ activities, students’ responses, and the improvement of learning outcomes. The type of the study was quantitative research, with One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The population were students of grade VII at MTs. Paitana. The sample of the study were 24 students, selected randomly with assumption that all of the classes of grade VII were homogen in terms of learnin outcomes as the experiment class. Data were collected by using observation sheets of students’ activities, students’ responses, and the test of learning outcomes. Requirement test for analysis used test of normality. Data were analyzed by employing one sample t-test technique. The result of the study revealed that (1) the impact of the use of animation media toward students’ activities are described as follows: in general, students tend to pay attention on the animation media without other irrelevant activities of the lesson and the students’ activities overall was in ideal category; (2) students give positive responses on learning proved more than 80% or all of the questions received positive responses to more than 50% students; (3) the mean score of students’ pretest was 28.79 with the standard of deviation 10.118 from each of the ideal score 100. The gain score was 0.71 from learning outcomes data which was categorized as high, data were distributed normally with the level of significance 0.269 for normalized gain data. By the t-test, the significance value obtained 0.000 meaning that there was improvement on students’ learning outcomes in studying Mathematics after the students taught by employing direct learning model using animation media. The final test indicated as well that 22 out of 24 students (91.67%) achieved the KKM score on Mathematics learning at MTs. Paitana.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplor komunikasi dan penalaran matematika siswa dalam tahap model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Jigsaw. Hasil penelitian ini adalah (1) komunikasi dan penalaran matematika siswa pada tahap membaca, siswa dengan kategori kemampuan tinggi membaca dan memahami materi pelajaran secara bermakna. Siswa dengan kategori kemampuan sedang membaca dan memahami materi pelajaran secara bermakna. Siswa dengan kategori kemampuan rendah membaca materi pelajaran namun tidak mampu memahami teks secara bermakna. (2) komunikasi dan penalaran matematika siswa pada tahap diskusi kelompok ahli, siswa dengan kategori kemampuan tinggi efektif melakukan komunikasi dan penalaran matematika menjelaskan pernyataan matematika secara lisan atau tertulis.   Siswa dengan kategori kemampuan sedang efektif melakukan komunikasi dan penalaran matematika mendengar pernyataan matematika dan membantu temannya menyelesaikan masalah matematika. Siswa dengan kategori kemampuan rendah efektif melakukan komunikasi dan penalaran matematika mendengar pernyataan matematika (3) komunikasi dan penalaran matematika siswa pada tahap diskusi kelompok asal,  siswa dengan  kategori  kemampuan  tinggi  efektif  melakukan  komunikasi dan penalaran matematika menjelaskan pernyataan matematika secara lisan atau tertulis dan mendengar pernyataan matematika. Siswa dengan kategori kemampuan sedang efektif melakukan komunikasi dan penalaran matematika mendengar pernyataan matematika dan membantu teman menyelesaikan masalah matematika. Siswa dengan kategori kemampuan rendah efektif melakukan komunikasi dan penalaran matematika mendengar pernyataan matematika  dan  mulai  mampu  menjelaskan  pernyataan  matematika  secara  lisan  atau tertulis. (4) Komunikasi dan penalaran matematika siswa pada tahap tes, siswa dengan kategori kemampuan tinggi mencapai level 4. Siswa dengan kategori kemampuan sedang mencapai level 3-4. Siswa dengan kategori kemampuan rendah mencapai level 0-2.

Abstract

The research was descriptive research with qualitative approach which aimed to describe mathematical problem solving of profiles students viewed from Adversity Quotient (AQ). The instrument of the research was the researcher herself as the main instrument guided by AQ questionnaire, mathematical problem solving test, interview guideline, and field notes. The subjects of the research were the students of class X MIPA 1 and X MIPA 2 SMAN 14 Bulukumba who consisted of 2 climber students, 2 camper students, and 2 quitter students. The data were collected through task analysis and interview. The results of the research reveal that: 1) the profiles of climber students’ mathematical problem solving are: a) at the stage of understanding the problems, climber students are able to interpret the problems by illustrating what they know in the form of pictures based on their understandings through writing, b) at the stage of devising a plan of problem solving, climber students are able to plan formulae which are used to answer the problems given, c) at the stage of carrying out the plan, climber students are able to do calculations through pre-planned formulae, d) at the stage of looking back the answers, climber students do not feel satisfied with the results they obtain before they recheck the answers by returning the obtained results into the known items of problems. 2) The profiles of camper students’ mathematical problem solving are: a) at the stage of understanding the problem, camper students are able to interpret the problems by illustrating what they know in the form of pictures based on their understandings through writing, b) at the stage of devising a plan of problem solving, camper students are able to plan formulae which are used to answer the problems, c) at the stage of carrying out the plan, camper students are able to answer the problems through pre-planned formulae, d) at the stage of looking back the answers, camper students feel satisfied with the results they obtain without having to recheck the answers. 3) The profiles of quitter students’ mathematical problem solving are

Abstract

Achievement of student learning outcomes and activities in learning is one of the things that can describe or is one of the benchmarks determining the quality of student learning. The emotional intelligence factor can affect the quality of learning. Therefore, the formulation of the problem in this study is how the description of the quality of mathematics learning of students is viewed from emotional intelligence on transformation material in SMA Negeri 2 Majene. The purpose of this study was to determine the description of the quality of mathematics learning of students in the classroom in terms of emotional intelligence on transformation material in SMA Negeri 2 Majene. This research is a type of qualitative research. The quality of student learning referred to in this study is the quality of student outcomes and activities. How to choose a subject that is by giving questionnaires to emotional intelligence to students then choose two students who have high emotional intelligence scores, two students with moderate emotional intelligence scores and two students with low emotional intelligence scores. The data collection method uses a combination of test, questionnaire and interview methods. Learning quality data obtained from quality test results and interviews of subject activities in the classroom. The results showed that the quality of the results of subjects with high emotional intelligence classified in the high and low categories, subjects with moderate emotional intelligence were both classified in the low category and subjects with low emotional intelligence classified in the medium and low categories, while for the quality of the process, the two subjects of emotional intelligence the first high and low emotional intelligence subject understands all indicators, whereas the second moderate emotional intelligence subject and the second low emotional intelligence subject do not meet all indicators

Abstract

Penelian ini bertujuan  untuk mengetahui gambaran pemahaman konsep peserta didik mengenai materi bilangan pada Kelas VII. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian campuran dengan menggunakan desain eksplanatoris sekuensial. Pengambilan subjek pada penelitian ini dilakukan dengan memberikan model tes diagnostik Three-Tier Test kepada peserta didik yang kemudian dari hasil tersebut terpilih 15 subjek penelitian yang mengalami miskonsepsi berdasarkan dengan kategori yang ada. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah model tes diagnostik Three-Tier Test, terdiri dari 7 butir soal Bilangan Bulat dan 15 butir soal Pecahan, serta pedoman wawancara. Miskonsepsi yang ditemukan kemudian dikategorikan berdasarkan kategori Miskonsepsi oleh Kirbulut dan Geban yang terdiri dari 3 jenis miskonsepsi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara kualitatif miskonsepsi yang dialami oleh peserta didik terdapat pada indikator menjelaskan dan menentukan urutan pada Bilangan Bulat (positif dan negatif); Menyelesaikan masalah yang berkaitan dengan urutan beberapa Bilangan Bulat; Menjelaskan dan melakukan operasi hitung Bilangan Bulat memanfaatkan berbagai sifat operasi; Menyelesaikan masalah yang berkaitan dengan operasi hitung Bilangan Bulat; Menjelaskan dan menentukan urutan pada pecahan (biasa, campuran, desimal, persen); Menjelaskan dan melakukan operasi hitung Pecahan dengan memanfaatkan berbagai sifat operasi; dan Menyelesaikan masalah yang berkaitan dengan operasi hitung pecahan. Hasil dari penelitian ini diharapkan dapat dipergunakan oleh guru untuk meminimalkan terjadinya miskonsepsi. This research aims to find out an overview of conceptual understanding about Numbers by using Three-Tier Diagnostic Test Model in grade VII. Type of research in this study is Mixed Method research using an explanatory sequential design. Subject selection in this study was conducted by using Three-Tier Diagnostic Test Model to the students, which then from the results selected 15 research subjects who experience misconceptions based on the existing categories. The instrument used was a Three-Tier Diagnostic Test Model that consists of 7 questions about Integers and 15 questions about Fractions along with interview guidelines. Misconceptions found are then categorized based on misconception category by Kirbulut and Geban which consists of 3 types of misconceptions. The results of the study show that qualitatively the misconceptions experienced by the students are in the indicators explain and determine the order on the Integers (positive and negative); Solve the problem related with the order of some Integers; Explain and perform arithmetic operations of Integers by utilizing the various properties of the operation; Solve problems related to arithmetic operations of Integers; Explain and determine the order on the Fractional (ordinary, mixture, decimal, percent); Explain and perform arithmetic operations of Fractions by utilizing the various properties of the operation; and Solve problems related to arithmetic operations of Fractions. The results of this study are expected to be used by the teachers to minimize the occurrence of misconceptions.

Abstract

Abstrak; Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen yang bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan keefektifan model pembelajaran berbasis masalah Setting  kooperatif dengan pendekatan saintifik dalam pembelajaran matematika materi trigonometri pada kelas X SMA Negeri 11 Makassar. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 11 Makassar dan sampel terdiri dari satu kelas yakni kelas X6 sebagai kelas eksperimen diajarkan menggunakan model pembelajaran berbasis masalah Setting  kooperatif dengan pendekatan saintifik yang dipilih menggunakan teknik simple random sampling. Data yang dikumpulkan terdiri data atas hasil belajar siswa, data aktivitas siswa dalam pembelajaran, dan data respons siswa terhadap perangkat dan pembelajaran. Data aktivitas siswa dan respons siswa dianalisis menggunakan analisis deskriptif sedangkan data hasil belajar siswa dianalisis menggunakan analisis deskriptif dan analisis inferensial. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) keterlaksanaan model pembelajaran berbasis masalah Setting  kooperatif dengan pendekatan saintifik dalam materi trigonometri terlaksana dengan baik. (2) penerapan model pembelajaran berbasis masalah Setting  kooperatif dengan pendekatan saintifik dalam materi trigonometri pada siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 11Makassar efektif ditinjau dari aspek: (a) hasil belajar siswa dengan rata-rata skor posttes lebih besar dari rata-rata skor pretes, rata-rata skor posttes adalah 84,09 ≥ KKM, rata-rata gain adalah 0,79, dan siswa yang tuntas sebanyak 94,74% ≥ 85%; (b) aktivitas belajar siswa dengan rata-rata keterlaksanaan aktivitas 3,41; dan (c) respons siswa dengan rata-rata 3,51 (kategori positif). Hasil uji hipotesis pada taraf siginifikan  dengan uji-t menunjukan bahwa model pembelajaran berbasis masalah Setting  kooperatif dengan pendekatan saintifik efektif diterapkan dalam pembelajaran matematika materi trigonometri pada siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 11 Makassar. Kata Kunci: Efektivitas, Model Pembelajaran Berbasis Masalah, Kooperatif,Pendekatan Saintifik, trigonometri.

Abstract

This study aims to produce a flipped classroom device that utilizes google classroom to optimize high-order thinking skills of high-quality students. This type of research is Research and Development. The development model used is the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) model. This research was conducted in Mathematics Education class 1.2 semester 3, Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training at UIN Alauddin Makassar. The research instrument used expert validation sheets, student and lecturer response questionnaires, and learning outcomes tests. The results showed that the average score of the validation results of learning tools: Lesson Plans, Learning Videos, Online Assignments and Higher Order Thinking Ability Tests were valid based on the criteria assessment. the practicality of learning tools based on positive student and lecturer responses. The effectiveness of the learning device is seen from the completeness of the higher order thinking ability test results that have been achieved. Through the development phases, quality products are produced that meet the criteria of validity, practicality and effectiveness
