Abstract

Kegiatan Pengabdian Pada Masyarakat (PPM) ini dilaksanakan atas dasar kebutuhan dari kelompok sasaran. Tujuan dilaksanakan kegiatan ini untuk memberikan wawasan dan keterampilan kepada guru SD dalam mengelola dan mengimplementasikan model flipped learning berbasis saintifik dalam pembelajaran BDR (Belajar di Rumah). PPM ini diikuti oleh guru SD di lingkungan Dinas Pendidikan Kabupaten Bantul. Peserta berjumlah 30 orang. Metode yang digunakan dalam PPM ini yaitu pelatihan, tanya jawab, diskusi, simulasi praktek pembelajaran, praktik mengajar dan pendampingan. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan selama dua bulan. Kegiatan pengabdian pada masyarakat ini dilaskanakan selama dua bulan sejak 22 Mei 2021 sampai 21 Juli 2021. Adapun tahapan kegiatan meliputi (1) perencanaan, (2) pelaksanaan, dan (3) evaluasi dan tindak lanjut. Berdasarkan penilaian terhadap produk yang dihasilkan peserta, maka kemampuan peserta untuk menyusun perencanaan melalui pengembangan perangkat pembelajaran flipped learning berbasis saintifik, serta pelaksanaan praktek mengajar pembelajaran flipped learning berbasis saintifik dapat dinyatakan sudah terampil.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh hasil studi pendahuluan yang menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa sangatlah rendah, siswa masih kebingungan dalam mengerjakan dan menyelesaikan soal cerita mengenai pecahan. Akar permasalahan pada pembelajaran pola bilangan ini yaitu dari aspek guru yang kurang mampu membuat desain pembelajaran yang bermakna dan meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa. Oleh karena itu, penulis mencoba mencari alternatif pemecahan masalah matematis dengan menggunakan pembelajaran matematika realistik (PMR) sebagai terobosan baru dalam meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa pada pembelajaran pecahan di kelas V sekolah dasar. Pembelajaran matematika realistik merupakan suatu desain pembelajaran yang memberi kesempatan siswa untuk terlibat secara aktif pada saat proses pembelajaran dan memberikan kontribusi yang besar dengan cara melakukan proses matematisasi dan pembuatan model untuk masalah-masalah kontekstual yang dipelajari.Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK), PTK ini merupakan suatu upaya yang dilakukan para praktisi pendidikan dalam rangka memperbaiki praktek pendidikan dan pembelajaran di kelas, serta diharapkan melalui PTK ini dapat meminimalisir masalah yang muncul pada saat praktek pembelajaran. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada kelas V SDN Nangela semester II tahun ajaran 2013- 2014. Hasil penelitian ini telah diperoleh penemuan bahwa terjadinya peningkatanpeningkatan mengenai hasil tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa tentang konsep pecahan di kelas V sekolah dasar, sehingga dapat disimpulkan penggunaan pembelajaran matematika realistik dapat meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa mengenai konsep pecahan. Oleh karena itu penulis merekomendasikan penggunaan pembelajaran matematika realistik kepada para guru sebagai salah satu alternatif dalam upaya meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa mengenai konsep pecahan di sekolah dasar

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) mengetahui proses pembelajaran tematik berbasisbudaya Betawi, dan (2) meningkatkan kecerdasan visual-spasial siswa kelas IV SD IslamTaman Quraniyah melalui pembelajaran tematik berbasis budaya Betawi. PembelajaranTematik Berbasis Budaya Betawi merupakan proses belajar tentang budaya, belajar denganbudaya, belajar melalui budaya, bahkan belajar berbudaya, khususnya budaya Betawi.Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Metode ini dilakukandengan empat tahap, yaitu perencanaan, implementasi tindakan, pengaruh implementasimonitor, dan survei/refleksi. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan instrumen hasilwawancara, hasil observasi aktvitas guru dan siswa, tes kecerdasan visual-spasial, catatanlapangan, dan dokumentasi. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas IV SD Islam TamanQuraniyah yang berjumlah 27 anak, terdiri dari 14 perempuan dan 13 laki-laki. Peresentasehasil tes kecerdasan visual-spasial siswa dari tindakan siklus I diperoleh 44% dengan nilairata-rata 66 meningkat menjadi 74% dengan nilai rata-rata 74 pada siklus II sehinggamencapai 89% pada siklus III dengan nilai rata-rata 80. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkanbahwa pelaksanaan pembelajaran tematik berbasis budaya Betawi dapat meningkatkankecerdasan visual-spasial siswa.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the numeracy competency profile of elementary school teachers in Ponjong District, Gunungkidul Regency, viewed from demographic factors. The demographic factors used to describe, there were gender, type of school (public or private), length of teaching, age, and whether the teacher in question was certified as an educator. This numeracy competency was essential to explore because this skill was one of the most critical primary education goals; it helped realize successful advanced learning, social interaction, meeting the necessities of life, and global employment. This study used a design-based research (DBR) approach combined with professional learning community (PLC) and participatory action research (PAR), in which a sample of forty teachers was drawn equally from each group of teachers working groups (KKG). The data were taken using test instruments and analyzed using inferential statistical tests. The results showed that from the gender aspect, there was no difference in numeracy competence for both men and women. The second, based on the type of school, there was no difference in numeration competence between public and private schools. The third, from the length of teaching, it was found that teachers with a duration of education under five years had a higher numeracy score. The fourth, in terms of age, there was no difference in numeracy ability from twenty-five to fifty-six years. The conclusion, from the aspect of educator certification, was fascinating. Although not significant, there was an average difference in the numeracy ability test between teachers who were certified educators and those who were not certified, where teachers who did not have an educator certificate had a higher test average than those who already had an educator certificate.

Abstract

Low critical thinking skills are characterized by the inability of students to analyze ideas or suggestions in a more specific direction. This research aims to analyze students' critical thinking abilities by applying the Si-5 Kite (SiMaYang) learning model. This research uses a quantitative approach with a Quasi-Experimental Design type Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The population in this study was the fifth grade of elementary school with relatively low critical thinking skills based on the pretest results. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. The number of samples in the experimental class was 30, and the number in the control class was 29. The data collection technique used is a test consisting of a pretest and a posttest. The data analysis techniques used in this research are descriptive and inferential statistical. The research results showed a significant difference in students' critical thinking abilities between the group that applied the SiMaYang learning model and the group that applied conventional methods. This can be seen based on the results of the pretest and posttest of the experimental class, which show a significant difference in students' critical thinking abilities before and after being given treatment in the form of implementing the SiMaYang learning model. So, the SiMaYang learning model can be used as an alternative learning model that can be applied to improve elementary school students' critical thinking skills.

Abstract

The low understanding of mathematical concepts at the elementary school level is a serious problem so that mathematics learning can run effectively. This study aims to measure the increase in elementary school students' conceptual understanding after applying Bruner's theory in learning mathematics. This type of research is Class Action Research. The research design used was developed by Kemmis and McTaggart where each activity cycle consists of four components, namely planning, implementation of action/treatment, observation, and reflection. The research results show that the application of Bruner's learning theory can improve the mathematics concept understanding ability. Improvement of the concept understanding ability occurs in each cycle. At the beginning of the observation, the average number of concept understanding abilities of students was 22.67%, then increased in cycle I by 44%, cycle II by 69.33%, and achieving expectations in cycle III by 88%. The successful application of Bruner's learning theory is also evidenced by the increased mastery of student learning outcomes. At the beginning of the cycle, only 28% of students passed, then increased in cycle I by 48% of students, cycle II by 72% of students, and achieving expectations in cycle III by 92%. Thus, the implementation of Bruner's theory can improve understanding of the concept of numbers in learning mathematics.
