Abstract

Abstrak. Kedisiplinan memiliki peranan penting dalam membentuk pribadi yang taat pada aturan-aturan yang ada dan bertanggung jawab terhadap tugas yang harus dikerjakan. Kedisiplinan dapat meningkat, salah satunya dipengaruhi oleh kesadaran diri. Sehingga perlu adanya pengelolaan kesadaran pada diri untuk memahami, mengenali, mengakui, dan mengekspresikan diri secara akurat. Subjek dalam penelitian ini yaitu siswa SMK yang memiliki kategori tingkat kedisiplinan yang rendah. Keseluruhan subjek dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 20 siswa, yang terbagi dalam 2 kelompok yaitu kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode Quasi Experimental Design dengan teknik pengambilan sampel purposive sampling, dan dengan model desain eksperimen pre test-post test control group design. Uji hipotesis dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik Man Whitney U-Test dengan nilai z= -3.485 dan  sig (2 tailed)= 0,000 dimana (p<0,01), yang berarti terdapat perbedaan tingkat kedisiplinan yang signifikan antara kelompok yang diberikan pelatihan kesadaran diri dibandingkan dengan kelompok yang tidak diberikan pelatihan kesadaran diri.Kata kunci: Kedisiplinan, Pelatihan Kesadaran diri.Abstract. Discipline has an important role in managing individuals who obey the rules that exist and are responsible for the tasks that must be done. Discipline can increase, one of which is developed by self-awareness. Because it needs to be considered, awareness must be approved, approved, recognized, and approved. The subjects in this study were vocational students who had a low level of discipline category. All subjects in this study were 20 student experiments, which were divided into 2 groups: the experimental group and the control group. The research method used in this study were the Quasi Experimental Design method with a purposive sampling technique and the pre-test design model of the control group design. Hypothesis testing in this study use the Man Whitney U-Test technique with a value of z = -3,485 and sig (2 tailed) = 0,000 where (p <0.01), which on average contains a significant level of discipline compared to the group that is not given self-awareness training.Keywords: Discipline, Self Awareness Training

Abstract

Indonesia adalah sebuah masyarakat majemuk, terdiri atas suku-suku bangsa. Dalam masyarakat majemuk, adanya batas-batas sukubangsa yang didasari oleh stereotype dan prasangka menghasilkan penjenjangan sosial secara primodial yang subjektif. Konflik-konflik antar etnik dan antar agama yang terjadi, pada dasarnya berintikan pada permasalahan hubungan antara etnik asli setempat dengan pendatang. Konflik-konflik itu terjadi karena adanya pengaktifan jati diri etnik untuk solidaritas memperebutkan sumberdaya yang ada. Dengan adanya stereotipe dan prasangka serta ideologi keetnikan, masyarakat menjadi lebih mudah saling cakar daripada berangkulan, lebih mudah saling curiga daripada saling mempercayai, lebih mudah bertengkar daripada bersahabat, lebih mudah menerjang daripada memberi jalan dan seterusnya. Berkaitan dengan masalah ini, ada baiknya kita terus mencoba berbagai macam pengetahuan untuk mewujudkan perdamaian masyarakat. Salah satu sumber pengetahuan yang bersifat natural, halus, dan mengajarkan rasa damai, persaudaraan, serta kebahagiaan, adalah ”kawruh jiwa”-nya Ki Ageng Suryomentaram. Konsep pendekatan ukuran keempat dikenalkan oleh Ki Ageng Suryomentaram sebagai pendekatan yang mampu mempromosikan kebahagiaan bagi umat dalam hidup berdampingan secara damai dalam masyarakat majemuk. Secara sederhana dapat dikatakan bahwa dengan ukuran keempat (dimensi IV) itu seseorang yang ada pada tahapan tersebut selain mengerti diri sendiri, mengerti hukum-hukum alam, juga mengerti rasa (raos) orang atau pihak lain. Ukuran keempat adalah salah satu alat dalam rasa seseorang yang dapat dipergunakan untuk merasakan rasa orang lain.Bergaul dengan orang lain, berarti kita berhadapan dengan rasa atau perasaaan orang lain. Seseorang yang mulai menginjak dewasa semestinya mulai meninggalkan sifat-sifat egoistik dan memasuki keinginan-keinginan untuk berbuat baik bagi orang lain. Individu dan masyarakat bukan dua badan terpisah, melainkan satu keutuhan. Untuk dapat hidup berdampingan secara damai dan bahagia di tengah masyarakat majemuk, hal yang pertama kali harus diusahakan adalah mendewasakan individu-individunya terlebih dahulu. Dewasa dalam arti mampu bertumbuh sampai pada identitas manusia tanpa ciri. Konsep hidup bahagia yang dimaksud Ki Ageng adalah hidup bahagia bersama. Bukan bahagia sendiri lalu orang lain tidak bahagia. Seseorang mustahil dapat hidup bahagia tanpa berusaha mendukung kebahagiaan orang lain. Dengan pendekatan ukuran keempat itu diharapkan tata kehidupan masyarakat menjadi lebih sehat dan bahagia. Pengembangan ukuran keempat diharapkan menyebabkan tata pergaulan menjadi lebih halus, penuh kasih sayang, sehat, dan indah.Kata kunci: stereotype, kawruh jiwa, ukuran keempat, Kramadangsa, juru catat.

Abstract

AbstractGenerally, teenagers in an orphanage have had problems with their environment,friends, and society. So that they have low optimism in facing their future. This study aims to determine whether there is a relationship between social support and optimism for the future of adolescents in the Salatiga Islamic orphanage. The research subjects were adolescents at the Salatiga Islamic orphanage who were taken using a purposive sampling technique with a total of 120 subjects, consisting of 52.5% boys and 47.5% girls. The data was collected using a social support scale and a future optimism scale. Data analysis was processed using statistical regression analysis techniques. The analysis showed a significant positive relationship between social support and optimism for the future of adolescents in the orphanage. Abstrak Remaja di panti asuhan pada umumnya pernah mempunyai masalah terhadaplingkungannya, teman, dan masyarakat. Sehingga mempunyai optimisme yangrendah dalam menghadapi masa depannya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah ada hubungan antara dukungan sosial dan optimisme masadepan remaja di panti asuhan Islam Salatiga. Subyek penelitian adalah remajadi panti asuhan Islam Salatiga yang diambil dengan menggunakan teknikpurposive sampling dengan jumlah subjek 120 orang, terdiri atas 52,5% remajalaki-laki dan 47,5% remaja perempuan. Pengumpulan data dilakukan denganmenggunakan skala dukungan social dan skala optimisme masa depan. Analisisdata diolah dengan teknik statistik analisis regresi. Hasil analisis menunjukkanhubungan positif signifikan antara dukungan sosial dan optimism masa depanremaja di panti asuhan.

Abstract

Multidisciplinary study is often conducted to investigate emotions. Research on emotions focuses on the situation, behavior and beliefs that underlie the emergence of emotion, and not on the emotion itself. Research on emotion not only examine the types of emotions alone but is associated with the situation, behaviors, and beliefs. It is inseparable from emotion regulation system that is owned by someone. Gross &amp; Thompson and Kalat &amp; Shiota state that emotion regulation may serve as a coping strategy to face psychological distress. Prihartanti’s research shows that in Javanese culture (Suryomentaram concept), a healthy person must be a able to adapt to the environment with introspective methods. Theoretically, the introspective method is similar to the concept of emotion regulation version of western culture. Therefore, this study intends to study the difference between the two concepts.The research method used is a comparative study using two approaches, namely qualitative and quantitative. A qualitative approach was conducted in the first year with the aim of acquiring data directly from the field then compiled into a gauge or scale. Quantitative approaches were used to examine differences between the introspective emotion regulation. Result shows that there are differences and similarities between the concepts of introspection in Suryomentaram with emotion regulation. The similarity lies on the ultimate goal, role and function, cognitive approaches and generalizations, while the difference lies in the step or process.

Abstract

This study deals with the relationships of social support and self confidence with the English language achievement of eight grade students of State Junior High School 6 Boyolali. The purpose of this study was to determine (1) the relationship of social sup- port and confidence with the English language student achievement; (2) the relation- ship of social support to the achievement of English language students, and (3) the relationship of confidence with the English language student achievement. The popula- tion of this study was all eighth grade students of State Junior High School 6 Boyolali, amounting to 201 students and the number of samples were 132 students taken by proportional random sampling technique. This study uses the method of documentation and questionnaire as data collection technique, while the technique of data analysis in this study was the Pearson correlation and multiple linear. The results showed as fol- lows: (1) there is a relationship of social support and self confidence with the English language student achievement (F-test = 222.948); (2) there is a relationship of social support to the students’ English achievement (r = 0.445 with p&lt;0.05); (3) there is a relationship of self confidence with the English language student achievement (r = 0.445 with p&lt;0.05).

Abstract

The purposes of this study are to (1) identify the contribution of teacher advisory association in developing teachers’ competence and (2) identify the management implemented for teacher development. This is a qualitative descriptive study. The setting of the study is Junior High School of Boyolali district central Java. The subjects of this study are 80 teacher advisors, 11 Managers, and 8 headmasters. The data are collected through questionnaire, observation, and documentation. The results indicates that the existence of teacher association is needed for teacher advisors as a forum to develop teacher professionalism. Teacher Association has a great contribution to enhance the teachers’ competences, including professional, pedagogic, social, and rersonality competence. Various types of counseling skills practiced in this forum. Good management helps improve the professionalism of teachers. In conclusion, teacher association has great contribution to develop the professionalism of teacher advisor. The teachers who are active in this association can develop their competencies and good management of this association gives good results in the teacher development.

Abstract

This paper describes Indonesian university student’s willingness to actively engage in English language learning and their self-reported anxiety levels. The objectives of this study are to describe the willingness of Indonesian students to communicate in English, and to explain the relationship between anxiety and willingness to communicate in English. The participants of this study are 426 students of Bachelor’s Degree in Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta (UMS). The instruments used to gather data are questionnaire and interview. Quantitative data is analized using regression analysis (ANAREG) and qualitative data is analyzed using descriptive analysis. The results of the study show that their willingness to communicate in English is very low (scored 14.21 on WTC scale) while their anxiety is at moderate level (scored 39.66 on FLCAS scale). Only half of the students (51%) have low willingness to communicate in English. More than half (68%) of students indicate that their language anxiety influences their willingness to communicate in English, while 12% of them does not show that their anxiety influence their linguistic behavior. This study finds a significant  elationship between language anxiety and willingness to communicate.

Abstract

This research aimed to know the effects of the methods of bibliotherapy and discussion on moral dilemma in enhancing responsible character. The subjects of the research were 65 students of “AN” divided into three groups; bibliotherapy experimental group, moral discussion experimental group and non-treatment control group. The research used pretest-posttest-follow-up design. The data of this experimental research were obtained by using scale of responsible character consisting of aspects of self-control skill, risk-taking for personal choice and seriousness of doing obligation to other. The data were then analyzed using SPSS.19 software program. The analysed factors indicated that there were five dimensions shaping students’ responsible character, namely carefulness, task oriented, excellence, preseverance and commitment. Based on the hypothesis test through one-way anava technique, it was concluded that the two methods have effect on the enchancement of students’ responsible character. Abstract

Permasalahan penyimpangan perilaku remaja bukanlah masalah yang sederhana sehingga cukup didekati secara parsial atau dari satu sudut pandang disiplin. Ilmu tertentu saja. Penyelesaian yang holistik komprehensif menuntut adanya pendekatan transdisipliner. Psikologi Klinis sebagai ilmu terapan dapat memberikan beberapa sumbangan, baik dalam metode, pendekatan, asesmen maupun tritmen. Perilaku menyimpang remaja secara mikro dilihat sebagai kurangnya kemampuan keterampilan kompetensi sosial. Dalam hal ini pelatihan kompetensi spsial merupakan intervensi yang disarankan, sedangkan sebagai tindak preventif dapat berupa pendidikan kecerdasan emosi sejak usia dini. Selain itu dalam tataran yang lebih makro intervensi perilaku menyimpang remaja akan terkait dengan kerjasama beberapa instansi terkait, seperti sekolah maupun masyarakat dan tentu saja keluarga sebagai lingkungan terdekat remaja.
