Abstract

Abstract: This study aimed to determine the effect of parenting methods on the children cognitive development aged 5-6 years at TK Cahaya Gelora, East of Lombok. The type of this research is experimental research with One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The population of this study was all children aged 5-6 years, totaling 15 children. The research sample was determined by the saturated sampling technique. Data collection techniques used observation. Technic data analysis of this study used a t-test. The instrument used was an observation sheet on the cognitive development of children aged 5-6 years. The results showed that the average score of the overall cognitive development of the children at the pretest was 14.53 and after being given treatment, the posttest was 30.47. In addition, the results of hypothesis testing obtained tcount that is 22,983 and ttable value of 1,761, so tcount > ttable. This proves that there is an effect of using parenting methods on the cognitive development of children aged 5-6 years at TK Cahaya Gelora, East of Lombok. Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh metode parenting terhadap perkembangan kognitif anak usia 5-6 tahun di TK Cahaya Gelora, Lombok Timur. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian eksperimen dengan One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh anak usia 5-6 tahun yang berjumlah 15 anak. Sampel penelitian ditentukan dengan teknik sampling jenuh. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi. Teknis analisis data menggunakan uji-t. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah lembar observasi perkembangaan kognitif anak usia 5-6 tahun. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan skor rata-rata perkembangan kognitif keseluruhan anak saat pretest yaitu 14,53 dan setelah diberikan perlakuan memperoleh skor post-test rata-rata 30,47. Selain itu, hasil uji hipotesis diperoleh thitung yaitu 22,983 dan nilai ttabel  1,761, sehingga  thitung > ttabel.  Dengan ini membuktikan bahwa ada pengaruh penggunaan metode parenting terhadap perkembangan kognitif anak usia 5-6 tahun di TK Cahaya Gelora, Lombok Timur.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran guru dalam memotivasi siswa pada penerapan strategi pembelajaran blended learning di masa COVID-19. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SD Negeri 5 Montong Baan tahun ajaran 2021/2022 dengan menggunakan purposive sampling. Subjek penelitian dipilih oleh peneliti, yaitu 3 guru, dan 18 siswa. Untuk mengumpulkan data, penelitian ini menggunakan teknik wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Model analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan konsep Miles dan Huberman yaitu; reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hanya sebagian guru yang sering memotivasi siswa dan membuat siswa aktif selama pelaksanaan blended learning. Peran guru dalam menerapkan blended learning selama fase COVID-19 diantaranya menilai prestasi kognitif, afektif, dan psikomotorik, merangsang siswa untuk berperilaku baik, menjelaskan pentingnya beradaptasi dengan dunia yang terus berubah, membangkitkan semangat belajar siswa, dan memberikan bimbingan.

Abstract

Up to now, no one can predict when the COVID-19 outbreak will end. Education as one of the affected sectors is necessary to adjust to existing conditions in what we call a new normal. The learning process in the new normal is much different from previous learning because it should follow any stipulation including school should obey health protocols, the number of students is not more than half the capacity of the classroom, the face-to-face learning in class is reduced to half of the available time. Blended learning is chosen as a learning strategy to be applied in elementary school. The sudden application of blended learning strategy in elementary schools raises many problems, including those faced by students. Hence, this study investigates the problems faced by students at elementary school. This study used a qualitative approach with a case study design. To collect data, this study used data collection techniques in the form of interviews, observations, and documentation. Data are analyzed using the concept of Miles and Huberman, started by reductions, data display, and verifications or conclusions. The result of this study shows some aspects of the problem faced by students consist of 1) Infrastructure and connectivity, 2) technological competency, 3) self-regulation and isolation, and 4) learning environment problems.
