Abstract

Temperature monitoring apparatus is required for the distribution of certain products that are distributed using cold chain method. Temperature gauges that use analog and digital thermometers can not store temperature data in transit. The digital temperature register apparatus (logger) in the market temperature is relatively expensive and does not provide early warning if the temperature in the storage box products out of permitted temperature limits. The research developed a prototype of a temperature monitoring device for the distribution of cold chain products. Case studies on blood distribution are used as a basis for determining the need for temperature monitoring devices. The product prototype is made by stages in accordance with generic product development method. The resulting prototype can provide temperature information in the cold box during the course of blood distribution. The prototype can also provide warnings in the form of sounds and lights when the temperature inside the cold box is outside the ideal temperature limit / permitted for the blood distribution process. Temperature history data during the trip can be stored in NFC Tags. The data can then be read using smart-phone devices that feature NFC.

Abstract

SIKAPTA is a computer based information system owned by department of industrial engineering, Sebelas Maret University (UNS). SIKAPTA is designed to manage course activities, specifically for Kerja Praktek and Tugas Akhir subject. SIKAPTA has not been evaluated since SIKPATA implementation, so it is important to evaluate specifically for usability problems. This research uses Hierarchical Task Analysis (HTA) approach in order to generate structured tasks for each user while they use SIKPATA and then uses the HTA of SIKAPTA as a bases to evaluate the usability of SIKAPTA. In addition to HTA, an usability guideline was developed and used to help SIKAPTA’s users to find the usability problems while they use SIKAPTA. The evaluation of SIKAPTA involved three kinds of user, they are administrator staff, students, and coordinator of Tugas Akhir. The result of this research shows that a mapping of users’s tasks using HTA can facilitate in conducting usability evaluations in detail for each application interface used for a task. In addition to that, the evaluation of SIKAPTA shows that there are 31 complaints said by users, which consists of 4 complaints from administrator, 13 complaints from student, and 14 complaints from coordinator of Tugas Akhir. The complaints represent usability problems and they are distributed in 3, 15 and 12 tasks for administrator, student, and coordinator of Tugas Akhir respectively.

Abstract

Effective and efficient organization is an organization that can benefit form the wealth of knowledge they have and also learn from those experienced before. Identification of existing knowledge in organization is urgently needed before the knowledge is managed with knowledge management. This study used qualitative análisis methods from the approach Nonaka’s model and Alavi’s cycle. Alavi cycle is used to identify existing knowledge cycle while the Nonaka’s model is used to identify th process of the knowledge formation. After the research is done, then it can be grouped into three business processes conducted in the Division, the forms of knowledge that already exists and the four domains of knowledge. Four of these knowledge domains identified more related to process creation, storage, transfer and application. The process of the creation of the four domains of knowledge are identified more related to the process of socialization, externalization, combination, internalization

Abstract

Portfolio lecturer required for the interests of each faculty and department. Portfolio lecturer required for promotion of faculty and lecturers certification. On the other hand, the portfolio required by the department faculty as an important part in the assessment of accreditation at the majors and is also used to compile Ekuivalensi Nilai Mengajar Penuh (EWMP). In this research, the initial system identification, system design proposal, and then to design the application. Identification of the initial system is to find problems early and identify the needs of the system the desired system, both input and output. The design of the proposed system consists of the design of the proposed system framework, design hardware and software, design development cost structure, and design calculations EWMP value. While the design phase consists of designing application interface and database design. Then, from the design interface is created between the face using the program Visual Basic 2008 and the design of the database created with MySQL database. The results of this study is information systems portfolio based computer that can print EWMP data, supporting the certification process lecturers, support the accreditation process majors, and supporting faculty promotion process. Designed system has a database for storing data and capable of storing a lecturer portfolio data from the KP and TA SIKAPTA databases and applications to enter and retrieve data as needed. Applications can be accessed by multiple users simultaneously via an internet connection. Through computer-based information systems, all lecturers EWMP activity will be recorded neatly, can be traced back and ready to print when needed. In addition, data can be managed more EWMP by lecturers to the process of certification and promotion.

Abstract

This paper discusses a vehicle routing problem with multiple trips, time windows, and simultaneous delivery-pickup (VRPMTTWSDP). This problem is a variant of the basic vehicle routing problem (VRP) including the following characteristics: multiple trips, time windows, and simultaneous delivery-pickup.  In this paper, a solution approach based on tabu search (TS) is proposed. In the proposed TS, the sequential insertion (SI) algorithm is used to construct an initial solution. A neighbor structure is generated by applying an operator order consisting of eleven operators of relocation, exchange, and crossover operators. A tabu solution code (TSC) method is applied as a tabu restriction mechanism. Computational experiments are carried out to examine the performance of the proposed TS using hypothetical instances. The performance of the proposed TS is compared to the local search (LS) and the genetic algorithm (GA). The comparison shows that the proposed TS is better in terms of the objective function value.

Abstract

This paper develops a vehicle routing problem (VRP) model for determining the routes in urea fertilizer distribution from a depot to retailers. The distribution is done in work days which uses trucks, each truck can serve more than one route (multiple trips), and each retailer has a time window. The vehicle routing model is built in a mixed integer linear programming (MILP) and the objective function is minimizing total transportation cost. The distances from the distributor to retailers and inter-retailers do not use Euclidian approach but the road network on a digital map in order to make the route solution is more realistic. Historical distribution data was used to test the model. The result shows that the model can minimize the cost about 2.28% which is compared to the original routes.

Abstract

Taylor Spatial Frame (TSF) better known as an external fixation product from several types of fixation devices in the orthopedic field. The Laboratory of Product Planning and Design has manufactured TSF or called OrthoLPPDUNS external fixations. The OrthoLPPDUNS design found that frame instability forming ring-strut angles caused by strut screw rotations was feeling rough due to backlash. The purpose is how to redesign an OrthoLPPDUNS with a Function Analysis System Technique (FAST). FAST method is applied at each stage of starting from the information stage to the interpretation of the results. The OrthoLPPDUNS design with the joint system uses custom components that cause weakness in frame stability. The use of standard components in joint systems can provide solutions to external fixations, although there are still weaknesses in the ring-strut angle. The OrthoLPPDUNS redesign has a better success rate in terms of stability parameters, allowing more precise bone reconstruction.

Abstract

Global warming is a huge environmental issue today. This is due to the high level of world carbon emissions. The manufacturing process accounts for 30% of the world's carbon emissions production.  Sustainable manufacturing is necessary to implement to reduce carbon emission levels caused by the manufacturing process. There are three aspects of sustainable manufacturing, namely environmental aspects, economic aspects, and social aspects. These three aspects can be implemented in the machining process by optimizing machining parameters in multi-pass CNC turning. This research aims to optimize CNC turning machining parameters by considering energy consumption, carbon emissions, noise, and production cost. The model is solved using a Multi-objective Genetic Algorithm in Matlab 2016b then the transformation and weighting functions are carried out from the feasible value. Based on the optimization results, the total energy consumption value obtained is 2.50 MJ; total production cost is $ 2.19; total carbon emissions are 5.97 kgCO2, and noise is 236, 19 dB. The sensitivity analysis exhibits the machining parameters that affect the objective function: The cutting speed parameter and the feed rate parameter. This model can be used to improve the manufacturing process and support sustainable manufacturing.

Abstract

Pandemi Covid-19 telah memukul berbagai sektor usaha di dalam negeri, baik usaha berskala besar maupun usaha mikro kecil dan menengah (UMKM). Berbagai upaya perlu dilakukan untuk untuk menjaga eksistensi UMKM. Salah satu industri yang perlu mendapat perhatian adalah industri batik, karena batik merupakan karya bangsa Indonesia yang banyak dikagumi. Transformasi penjualan melalui mengakibatkan persaingan usaha menjadi sangat ketat dan pemenuhan kualitas produk merupakan salah satu kunci untuk memenangkan persaingan tersebut. Produk yang berkualitas adalah produk yang mampu membuktikan bahwa produknya sudah memenuhi standar ditetapkan. Oleh sebab itu penting bagi IKM untuk melakukan standarisasi dan sertifikasi produk jika ingin memasuki pasar global.  Untuk itu pada kegiatan pengabdian ini dilakukan pembuatan teknologi tepat guna berupa perancangan proses pemenuhan persyaratan sertifikasi SNI tentang produk batik (dalam bentuk checklist dan workflow) pada IKM mitra untuk lima kriteria persyaratan sertifikasi, yaitu personal, company, managerial, technical dan economy.  Selain itu juga dilakukan asesmen manfaat ekonomi penerapan standar dengan pendekatan ISO Methodology – Economic Benefit Standard.  Tahapan dalam ISO Metodologi meliputi analisis value chain, analisis value driver, identifikasi dampak standar, dan penilaianl. Dari kegiatan ini dihasilkan panduan atau pedoman proses sertifikasi SNI yang sederhana dan aplikatif dengan penyederhanaan persyaratan yang dapat menjadi referensi bagi IKM batik secara umum di Indonesia.  Hasil penilaian Hasil manfaat ekonomi penerapan standar pada IKM Batik Rp 60.750.000,00. Kata kunci: Sertifikasi; IKM, SNI Batik; Workflow; Dampak Ekonomi Standar.
