Abstract

Sampah adalah sesuatu yang tidak digunakan lagi, tidak disenangi atau dibuang yang berasal dari kegiatan manusia dan tidak terjadi dengan sendirinya. Di lokasi kuliah kerja nyata tidak adanya tempat sampah yang tersedia sehingga masyarakat Desa Patongloan sering membuang sampah sembarangan tempat. Pada kuliah kerja nyata ini pembuatan tempat sampah dilakukan di empat dusun di Desa Patongloan. Pembuatan tempat sampah bertujuan agar masyarakat desa patongloan dapat membuang sampah pada tempatnya serta menyadarkan masyarakat tentang pentingnya membuang sampah pada tempatnya

Abstract

Perilaku Hidup Bersih dan Sehat (PHBS) merupakan perilaku yang diterapkan oleh setiap individu dengan kesadaran sendiri untuk meningkatkan derajat kesehatannya dan berperan aktif dalam mewujudkan lingkungan yang sehat. PHBS harus diterapkan sejak dini pada anak-anak agar menjadi kebiasaan yang baik hingga dewasa bahkan sampai tua. Pendamping melakukan upara promotif dan preventif berupa penyuluhan dan praktek cara mencuci tangan yang baik dan benar kepada Siswa-siswi SDN 178 Galitin Dusun Landokadawang Bawah Desa Benteng Alla Kecamatan Baroko Kabupaten Enrekang untuk menyadari pentingnya kesehatan dan kebersihan terutama di masa pandemi ini. Menjaga kebersihan diri selama masa pandemi Corona virus seperti mencuci tangan merupakan salah satu langkah yang perlu dilakukan untuk mencegah penyebarannya. Kebiasaan hidup bersih dan sehat merupakan masalah penting dan menjadi fokus dalam pencegahan timbulnya berbagai masalah kesehatan pada anak. Permasalahan kesehatan pada anak usia sekolah dasar masih banyak ditemukan karena kurangnya informasi dan pengetahuan mengenai PHBS pada anak. Dengan dilaksanakannya kegiatan tersebut mampu menyadarkan masyarakat khususnya anak-anak akan pentingnya menerapkan Perilaku Hidup Bersih dan Sehat sejak dini serta dapat memberi pengetahuan kepada masyarakat bagaimana menerapkan perilaku hidup bersih dan sehat secara tepat guna untuk meningkatkan derajat kesehatannya dan mencegah penyebaran COVID-19 di Desa Benteng Alla

Abstract

This research aimed at (i) probing traits of efficacious EFL teachers based on students’ insight; (ii) delving traits of inefficacious EFL teachers based on students’ insight; (iii) finding out students’ different experiences on efficacious and inefficacious EFL teachers. This qualitative research used constructivism approach in gaining data and applied coding method in data analysis. The research subjects were 15 students of SMKK Dr. Wahidin Makassar. Five of them were interviewed to gain a deeper explanation about their experiences on the traits of efficacious and inefficacious teachers. The results indicated that built upon the students’ insight (i) the traits of efficacious EFL teachers are having pleasant figure, responsive, mastering the subject taught, promoting students to learn, mastering teaching and learning strategies, able to create a good relation, and performing a good appearance; (ii) inefficacious EFL teachers are indicated by having unpleasant behavior, lack of ability in presenting materials, not supporting students to learn, not mastering teaching strategies, and discriminating; (iii) there is different experience about the traits of efficacious and inefficacious EFL teachers namely teaching based on the textbook only. Some students perceived it was effective for elementary school students, while others perceived it was ineffective for senior high school students.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to discover how students in the non-English department at the University Muhammadiyah of Parepare feel about learning English. Based on the perspectives of the students, this study sought to identify what factors may contribute to anxiety in an English learning environment. In this case, researchers prioritize the perspectives of students who are not English majors on the anxiety they frequently experience when learning English. The researcher used a case study to conduct qualitative research. While the participants in this study were students from Muhammadiyah University in Parepare for the academic year 2021/2022, the purposive sampling technique was used to select 7 non-English department students. The chosen samples would be interviewed to obtain detailed information about the data required. The findings of this study revealed that students had many concerns about learning English. The majority of respondents also admitted that English is difficult to learn because they lack basic abilities, such as a lack of vocabulary and the complexity of the material learned, which can make students feel confused and difficult to learn English. Furthermore, comments from other friends, such as the incorrect pronunciation of English vocabulary, affect their feelings. Respondents also revealed that lecturers' ability to bring material can influence their feelings about learning English. In the end, the students suggested that the lecturer be more creative to keep students interested in learning English, such as bringing in an outdoor concept and providing some games for the learning process

Abstract

Education from time to time continues to experience changes, because if there is no change then the quality of education will be questioned while the current demands of the times are increasing. This causes education as one of the pillars that must remain firmly standing in the face of every challenge that exists, dismissing all changes whose direction can make the bad nation's generation forget its existence as a change being. Education must come with different and more challenging concepts, faces, methods, and materials to increase students' thinking stimuli. In addition, education must be able to give joy, not sadness. The combination of media and IT in school learning is a scourge and at the same time an opportunity for educators. Becoming afraid on the part of some educators because of their weak mastery of IT so they seem to be strangers in the learning process. But it becomes an opportunity for people or educators who can integrate with IT. The presence of the system provides a new spirit in dealing with the new normal situation so that there are no more students who cannot study well because learning must continue with various consequences. Research focuses on digitizing learning and teaching materials so that students can more easily access the material. This research is an ADDIE Research and Development model which produces a prototype of a learning website that can and is easily accessed by teachers and students. When all stages in making this website are completed, the researcher will fully hand it over to the school to be managed and even developed. This research produces 5 F learning, Creative, Innovative, Solution, Interactive and productive which makes students and teachers feel happy and easy in carrying out the learning process and developing teaching materials.

Abstract

Nowdays students still face problems in improving their writing skills, including grammatical arrangements, lack of known vocabulary, use of inappropriate punctuation marks and setting capital letters in sentences. The purpose of this study was to analyze the improvement of students’ writing skills and respond to use of the Ginger Writer application. The subject of this study is students in class VIII of junior high school. In this study, the researcher used a writing test to see the students’ writing ability and distributed a questionnaire consisting of 16 statements in paper form. From the results of data analysis showed that the students’ writing ability increased. This is indicated by the mean score of pre-test is 52.84 and post test is 85.4. After calculating the t-test, the researcher found that (H0) was rejected and (H1) was accepted. This means that the Ginger Writer application was able to improve the ability to write descriptive texts of students. Then the results of the questionnaire also showed that most of the students gave positive responses after learning to use the Ginger Writer application in writing descriptive text.
