Abstract

The Balinese language is historical evidence for Balinese people who are domiciled as a vehicle for Balinese cultural expression, in which aesthetic, religious, social, political, and other aspects of Balinese life are recorded. The Balinese language is one of the regional languages that has a multi-level language system (anggah-ungguhing basa/sor singgih basa Bali). The purpose of this study was to provide elementary school students with an understanding of the importance of learning the Balinese language asSor Singgih as Balinese culture. The method used in this study is a qualitative method with interview and observation techniques. The results of this research are that it is important for us to teachSor Singgih Balinese language to students, in addition to communicating with other people, we can also introduce the culture of the Balinese language to others. this can be done by using a short storybook, sample stories can make it easier for students to understandSor Singgih Balinese language.

Abstract

This article reports the experience of implementing the action research to apply the Socratic dialogue method through lesson study in the lecture of Educational Profession to improve critical thinking skills of the university students. The subject of this action research is 36 students (22 women and 14 men) in grade VI class B, Department Guidance and Counseling (BK), Faculty of Education, Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha (Undiksha) on academic years 2016/2017. This action research conducted in cycles (reported in three cycles) which is integrated into the activities of lesson study. In every cycle consisted of a plan, action, observation/evaluation and reflection phase. Critical thinking skills are assessed through observation activities in group discussion activities and classes, as well as through student response in solving essay test (on cases analysis), which assessed by a rubric assessment of students critical thinking skills at each end of the course. The results showed that the mean of the critical thinking skills of students at the end of the first cycle is 50 (low), then at the end of the second cycle increased to 65 (average) and at the end of the third cycle increased again to 89 (high). Research also shows that the lesson learned were founded through collaborating and careful observation of the course observer with researchers in identifying strengths and constraints and to produce efforts to improve the implementation of the course to improve the quality of learning.

Abstract

This research aimed at developing a mobile-based folklore with local wisdom inserted for elementary school students in which the language used is Balinese. The present research was applying System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) research method. The study underwent five steps, that is, Analysis, Design, Implementation, Testing, and Evaluation. The first step of this research was need analysis of the application. In this step, the need analysis of content application and application development was done. The next step was application design including flowchart design and storyboard. The steps of development was using application design plan. In this step, the result was Balinese folklore application with local wisdom inserted. To test the function of this application, an application test was done by applying black box method. This evaluation was conducted by involving teacher and elementary school students at SDN 3 Banyuning. The result of evaluation showed that it was found 20 out of 25 students liked this folklore application with local wisdom inserted.

Abstract

This study uses a qualitative case study approach, which is a study that aims to describe a condition that is happening in the real world. The research procedure adopted the case study research procedure by Yin which includes (1) design the case study protocol; (2) Conduct the case study; (3) Analyze case study evidence: and (4) Develop conclusions, recommendations, and implications based on the evidence. The subjects of this study were elementary school teachers and students, and school documents were examined related to the maintenance of Balinese culture and language through local content carried out in schools. The data collection technique was carried out by structured interviews using interview guidelines related to maintaining Balinese language culture and Balinese local content. Observations were made with a participatory observation approach, and documentation studies were carried out by collecting documents related to the maintenance of Balinese culture and Balinese language in schools. Qualitative data analysis techniques began with grouping data based on primary data sources and secondary data. The results of this study indicate that the application of local content in elementary schools is one of the contents that can be used in maintaining, preserving and preserving the Balinese language culture in schools. The results of surveys, observations and interviews at SD Buleleng indicate that the maintenance of Balinese culture and language has many weaknesses, seen from the use of local languages that are not used in communication and Balinese culture which is fading due to the influence of other cultures. This can be seen in the language used in schools not using Balinese in daily communication in the sense that many do not understand the meaning of the Balinese language used because SOR is Singgih Bahasa. The results of study have and important implication to the teaching learning contents of Balinese language in elementary school in Bali, Indoensia.

Abstract

Quality education is education that is able to carry out the process of maturation of student quality developed by liberating students from ignorance, incompetence, helplessness, untruth, dishonesty, and from poor morals and faith. This study aims to analyze the quality of education in Buleleng Regency with a meta-analysis approach. The subjects of this study are researchers and research reports, data analysis begins with categorizing each research in accordance with its research paradigm and the central issues raised, and then the results of all studies are compared according to their categories. The results showed that student learning outcomes are strongly influenced by the quality of teachers or teaching staff. And the quality of teaching can be done by developing innovative learning models. If educators are able to improve performance related to improving classroom management and the learning process by participating in training on various innovative learning, then the quality of education and the quality of graduates will be able to compete in the global era

Abstract

Facilities and infrastructure (Sarpras) in primary to tertiary education have an important role in the learning process. The role and position of facilities and infrastructure are very important in attracting the attention of the community so that schools have enthusiasts. This paper aims to determine the management system for school infrastructure in improving the quality of education in Indonesia. Methods This research uses comparative journals related to facilities and infrastructure in the field of education. Based on the results of library reviews from various countries in the world, the authors found that (1) to improve the quality of education, supporting and efficient facilities and infrastructure were needed, (2) managing and utilizing the facilities and infrastructure available in schools as a benchmark in improving the quality of education

Abstract

Pandemi Covid-19 memberikan dampak pada segala aspek kehidupan, salah satunya adalah aspek pendidikan. Pendidikan di masa Covid-19 ini mengalami perubahan sistem, yang dari pembelajaran tatap muka menjadi pembelajaran tatap maya atau pembelajaran dalam jaringan (daring). Pembelajaran daring mengakibatkan terbatasnya kegiatan belajar mengajar yang dapat dilakukan sehingga timbulnya kekhawatiran adanya ketidakmaksimalan penyampaian materi ajar dan utamanya tidak adanya Pendidikan karakter yang ditanamkan. Penanaman karakter sangat berkaitan dengan ajaran Tri Hita Karana, karena saat ini ajaran Tri Hita Karana sudah dapat diberlakukan secara umum sebagai pedoman hidup masyarakat. Sehingga dengan hal-hal yang disebutkan, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji apakah pada pembelajaran yang dilaksanakan secara daring telah mengandung esensi konsep Tri Hita Karana, serta menganalisis bagaimana esensi konsep Tri Hita Karana ini diberlakukan pada pembelajaran daring. Penggalian informasi dan pencarian data dilakukan dengan metode studi literatur dengan melalui tahapan penentuan ide, pelaksanaan studi literatur, analisa hasil dan penarikan kesimpulan. Sehingga hasil yang diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa esensi konsep Tri Hita Karana sudah tercakupkan pada pembelajaran daring yang dilaksanakan pada jenjang SD sebagai upaya penanaman nilai karakter melalui konsep Tri Hita Karana yang terkandung pada pembelajaran yang diberikan secara tersirat kepada peserta didik.

Abstract

Kemunculan virus corona atau Covid-19 diketahui berasal dari kota Wuhan, Cina. Virus ini menyebar melalui kontak fisik sampai diseluruh dunia termasuk Indonesia. Sebagian besar aktivitas masyarakat suatu daerah khususnya Bali menjadi terhambat hingga terpaksa diberhentikan. Segala kebijakan diberlakukan pemerintah demi mencegah serta mengurangi penyebaran Covid-19. Selain mempengaruhi kesehatan manusia, hal ini juga berdampak kepada kehidupan sosial budaya dan kearifan lokal di Bali. Sehingga, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) mengetahui kehidupan sosial budaya dan kearifan lokal di Bali, (2) memaparkan dampak positif pandemi Covid-19 terhadap kehidupan sosial budaya dan kearifan lokal di Bali, dan (3) memaparkan dampak negatif pandemi Covid-19 terhadap kehidupan sosial budaya dan kearifan lokal di Bali. Dalam penelitian ini, penulis menggunakan metode kajian literatur dengan menggunakan beberapa sumber melalui internet, jurnal, dan artikel sebagai bahan referensi. Adapun hasil yang diperoleh penulis yaitu kehidupan sosial budaya masyarakat Bali melibatkan banyak orang dalam menjalankan tradisi, budaya serta ritual keagamaannya. Dampak positif pandemi Covid-19 terhadap kehidupan sosial budaya dan kearifan lokal di Bali dapat membentuk kehidupan harmonis melalui falsafah Tri Hita Karana. Dampak negatif pandemi Covid-19 terhadap kehidupan sosial budaya dan kearifan lokal di Bali menyebabkan seluruh kegiatan keagamaan dan tradisi budaya masyarakat Bali terpaksa dibatasi untuk mencegah penularan virus tersebut.
