Abstract

Dragon scales (Drymoglossum piloselloides L. Presl) is a plant that has antibacterial activity against the bacteria Propionibacterium acnes and Staphylococus aureus, Bacillus subtilis, Escherichia coli, and Streptococcus pneumonia. The content of compounds that act as antibacterial are saponins, polyphenols, essential oils, sterols / triterpenes, phenols, flavanoids, sugars and tannins. This study aims to make a formula of dragon scales ethanol extract gel against the growth of propionibacterium acnes bacteria. The method used in this study was experimental laboratory. The formulation of dragon scales ethanol extract gel is made with a concentration variation of 5%, 10%, 15%. Antibacterial activity test is carried out with diffusion agar.

Abstract

The use of hand antiseptics in the form of gel preparations which are more popular with the namepreparations hand sanitizer usually contain antiseptics in the form of synthetic chemicals which are relatively expensive and often cause skin health problems, such as dry skin. The leaves of the neem plant and aloe vera gel have been shown to be able to treat several diseases, one of which is being able to be a companion drug for antibacterial treatment. The method used in this research is experimental method because it is intended to determine the effect or relationship between the independent variables called treatment factors, namely thegel formulation Hand Sanitizer from a combination of neem leaves and aloe vera gel with concentrations of 5%, 10%, and 15%, with the dependent variable called the observation factor, namely the test. Organoleptic, pH, homogeneity, dispersion test, irritation test and antibacterial activity tes. The results obtained from this study are that neem leaf ethanol extract and aloe vera gel can be formulated intopreparations hand sanitizer gelwith concentrations of 5%, 10% and 15%, with homogeneous preparations, pH around 6.68-7.03, with dispersion ranges from 4.4cm - 5.5 cm, and stable at 4 weeks of storage.. Results preparations hand sanitizers containing ethanol extract of neem leaves 15% provides a strong barrier against Staphylococcus aureus was 13.80 ± 0.29 mm.

Abstract

Bangun-bangun leaves and palm leaves contain various secondary metabolites such as tannins, alkaloids and flavonoids which can healing wound. The aim of this study was to determine the effect of ointment combination of ethanol extract of leaves of bangun- bangun (Coleus amboinicus Lour.) And ethanol extract of palm leaves (Elaeis guineensis Jacq.) In healing wound. The bangun- bangun leaves and the palm leaves are separated from the petiole and then dried in a drying cupboard so that it becomes a simplisia. Simplisia is extracted by maceration method then evaporated with a rotary evaporator and evaporated again on a water bath to produce a thick extract. Thick extracts from the leaves of bangun- bangun and palm leaves are then formulated into ointment preparations with varying concentrations. Each rabbit was shaved on its back then cleaned with 70% alcohol. Furthermore, rabbits were anesthetized using 0.5 ml Lidocain HCL as much as 0.5 ml subcutaneously. Next mark the part that will be injured with a diameter of 2 cm, by lifting the rabbit skin using tweezers and then made a wound using surgical scissors that have been sterilized first with 70% alcohol. Wound diameter measurements showed that all treatment groups from day 1 to day 23 experienced changes in wound diameter. The combination ointment of ethanol extract of leaves wake-up (EEDB) 10% and ethanol extract of palm oil leaves (EEDKS) 10% have a more effective effect in wound healing than single dose.

Abstract

Chinese betel leaf (Peperomiapellucida) is one among the wild herbaceous plants belonging to the Piperaceae family which is employed as a natural medicine. The study's goal was to determine the antibacterial activity of an ethanol extract of Chinese betel leaf ointment against Staphylococcus aureus, as well as the optimal concentration. The test of the study was administered by the diffusion method using disc paper. The results of the characterization examination of Chinese betel leaf simplicia powder obtained water soluble extract content of 64.58%, ethanol soluble extract content of 24.95%, total ash content of three 3.2%, 5.9 % water of content and 0.28% acid insoluble ash content of and Simplisia contains alkaloids, flavonoids, tannins, and saponins. Staphylococcus aureus obtained a degree of 8% with a diameter of 16.81, the diameter of the inhibition zone of the Chinese betel leaf ethanol extract against. The ethanol extract of Chinese betel leaf exhibits antibacterial action against Staphylococcus aureus, according to the findings of the study. Abstract

Pendahuluan: Rimpang temu hitam mengandung saponin, minyak atsiri, flavonoid, kurkuminoid, zat pahit, damar, lemak mineral dan minyak. Kandungan zat-zat dalam rimpang temu hitam antara lain menstimulasi kerja lambung, menyembuhkan koreng, luka dan kudis, peluruh angin, menyembuhkan batuk dan asma. Tujuan: Untuk mengetahui efek diuretik ekstrak etanol rimpang temu hitam (EERTH) pada tikus putih jantan. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimental meliputi skrining fitokimia, karakterisasi dan uji efek diuretik EERTH. Hasil: Hasil skrining fitokimia simplisia menunjukkan positif alkaloida, flavonoid, saponin, tanin dan steroid. Hasil karakterisasi EETRH meliputi kadar abu total 4,8%, abu yang tidak larut asam 2,37%, sari larut dalam air 17,8%, sari larut dalam etanol 22,45%. Hasil pengamatan menunjukkan EERTH dosis 350 mg/kg bb dengan volume urin 11,35 ml (efek diuretik paling baik) dibandingkan 250 mg/kg bb dan 300 mg/kg bb, tetapi lebih rendah efeknya dibandingkan furosemide dosis 5,04 mg/kg bb dengan volume urin 13,77 ml. Kesimpulan: Ekstrak etanol rimpang temu hitam (Curcuma aeruginosa Roxb) memberikan efek diuretik pada tikus putih jantan dengan dosis mulai 350 mg/kg bb tetapi tidak lebih besar dari kelompok kontrol positif dengan nilai sig. 0,00 (p 0,05).

Abstract

The purpose of welfare improvement is to strive to further develop the highest welfare status that can really be expected. To achieve this goal, proactive and dynamic administration and regulation are needed that cover all fields, be it government, private or regional. In connection with the above, the creators are interested in leading PKM which intends to provide guidance on giving scale leaves which are believed to be a treatment for diarrhea in Candirejo Village. The reason for holding this PKM is to get a healthy local environment and to avoid diarrheal diseases caused by the living guidance of dragon scale leaves as diarrhea in Candirejo Village. Diarrhea is one of the most well-known infections locally. One of the causes of diarrhea is eating food that is processed ineffective and unhygienic so that the food is contaminated by microbes that are around. If not treated immediately can cause loss of body fluids so that the patient will become dry. Tests saw unusual cases of diarrhea causing death in infants and children. Dragon scale leaves expressly contain a mixture of flavonoids and tannins. These substances are useful as, against pain, death, dry medicine, overcoming ulcers and overcoming bloating. The content of flavonoids and tannins in dragon scales leaves may have an effect. pharmacology for human well-being. Abstract

Dahlia tubers are a source of carbohydrates in the form of inulin. Dried dahlia tubers are thought to contain inulin as much as 65-76% of the total carbohydrates contained. Inulin or fructoolgosaccharide is a food component that can act as a prebiotic and also as a soluble dietary fiber in humans. Inulin is thought to be able to maintain the balance of the other normal flora of the large intestine. The balance of microflora in the intestine is very necessary because these microbes can inhibit the growth of pathogenic bacteria. Escherichia coli and Salmonella typhi are among the choliform bacteria belonging to the Enterobacteriaceae family. Enterobacteriaceae are enteric bacteria or bacteria that live and can survive in the digestive tract. This study aims to compare the activity of dahlia tuber starch against Escherichia coli and Salmonella typhi bacteria by determining the activity of dahlia tuber starch. The results showed that dahlia tuber starch had antibacterial activity against Escherichia coli and Salmonella typh. Effective concentration in inhibiting Escherichia coli and Salmonella typhi bacteria at a concentration of 80% with an average LDH of 22.71 mm for Escherichia coli bacteria, while for Salmonella typhi the average LDH of 15.08 mm.

Abstract

Batak onion (Allium chinense G.Don) of the Amarylidaceae family is one of the traditional medicinal plants that has antibacterial properties, containing flavonoids, terpenoids, tannins and saponins. EEDBB extract against Propionibacterium acne (Pa), Staphylococcus aureus (Sa), Eschericia coli (Ec), Salmonella typhi (St). Batak shallot powder was extracted by maceration method using 80% ethanol as solvent. disc diffusion method of advertising concentration (EEDBB) 40%, 60%, 80% with a comparison of positive control and negative control. Measurement of antibacterial activity showed that all concentrations had antibacterial activity. The highest antibacterial activity of EEDBB at a concentration of 80% had a maximum antibacterial with an average inhibition zone of 11.5 mm for bacteria (Pa), 10 mm for bacteria (Sa), 15,5 mm for bacteria (Ec) and 16.1 mm for bacteria. bacteria (St). The lowest antibacterial activity ethanol extract at a concentration of 40% had the lowest inhibitory power with an average inhibition zone diameter of 7.8 mm for bacteria (Pa), 6.6 mm for bacteria (Sa), 12.9 mm for bacteria (Pa). . bacteria (Ec) and 13.2 mm in bacteria (St). EEDBB has the highest antibacterial activity on bacteria (St) with an average inhibition zone of 16mm. Data analysis was carried out using the One way ANOVA test, namely H0 was accepted and H1 was rejected where the value of sig < 0.05.

keluarga dikarenakan zaman yang semakin modren dan canggih, sehingga tingkat ketertarikan pengobatan menggunakan obat herbal sudah semakin menurun. Beberapa obat untuk meningkatkan daya tahan tubuh sudah banyak beredar dipasaran dengan harga yang lumayan cukup tinggi, sehingga masyarakat dengan ekonomi menengah kebawah hampir tidak mampu untuk menjangkaunya, maka informasi terkait tanama obat keluarga sangat penting untuk disampaikan, salah satunya ialah Temu Hitam (Curcuma aeruginosa) yang bisa didapatkan melalui menanam atau maupun dibeli dengan harga yang dapat dijangkau seluruh masyarakat, informasi ini yang diusulkan untuk mengatasi masyarakat pada zaman sekarang yang memiliki sistem pertahanan tubuh yang mulai berkurang dengan cara memberikan wawasan atau ilmu kepada masyarakat terkait tanaman obat keluarga (Toga) dan menjelaskan manfaat medis dari temu hitam melalui: penyuluhan pemanfaatan tanama obat keluarga (Temu Hitam) yang mengandung antioksidan untuk meningkatkan daya tahan tubuh masyarakat simalingkar, tindakan ini dilakukan dengan mengumpulakan masyarakat dan melakukan penyuluhan sosialisasi serta dilakukan demonstrasi agar penyampaian berlangsung dengan baik. Baik karena kondisi sosialisasi masyarakat mampu memahami dan mengetahui manfaat temu hitam (Curcuma aeruginosa) bagi kesehatan. Penilaian juga dilakukan disaat penyuluhan berlangsung dimana hasil program dilakukannya penyuluhan ini berhasil dengan baik dan masyarkat yang mengikuti kegiatan tersebut sangat antusias dan bersemangat dalam percakapan, bertanya, menjawab dan berkonsentrasi. Tanaman obat keluarga tidak hanya sebagai obat-obatan yang ada disekitar halaman tetapi juga mampu menjadi sumber penghasilan tambahan dan menjaga keindahan lingkungan.
