Abstract

Principal component analysis (PCA) and linear descriminant analysis (LDA) are an extraction method based on appearance with the global structure features. The global structure features have a weakness; that is the local structure features can not be characterized. Whereas locality preserving projection (LPP) and orthogonal laplacianfaces (OLF) methods are an appearance extraction with the local structure features, but the global structure features are ignored. For both the global and the local structure features are very important. Feature extraction by using the global or the local structures is not enough. In this research, it is proposed to fuse the global and the local structure features based on appearance. The extraction results of PCA and LDA methods are fused to the extraction results of LPP. Modelling results were tested on the Olivetty Research Laboratory database face images. The experimental results show that our proposed method has achieved higher recognation rate than PCA, LDA, LPP and OLF Methods.

Abstract

Ekspresi wajah atau mimik merupakan salah satu dari hasil gerak otot pada wajah. Dalam kamus besar bahasa Indonesia, ekspresi merupakan pengungkapan atau proses menyatakan, yaitu memperlihatkan atau menyatakan maksud, gagasan perasaan dan lain sebagainya. Ekspresi wajah atau mimik dipengaruhi oleh saraf tujuh atau nervuse facialis. Dalam penelitian yang dilakukan paul ekman didapat sebuah standarisasi ekspresi dalam format pergerakkan yang disebut dengan Facial Action Coding System (FACS). Dalam penelitiannya paul ekman menyatakan enam ekspresi dasar yaitu bahagia, sedih, terkejut, takut, marah dan jijik. Dalam anatomy otot, bahwa setiap otot yang bergerak pasti terjadi kontraksi, dan pada saat terjadi kontraksi, otot akan mengembang atau mengelembung. Otot dibagai menjadi tiga bagian yaitu origo dan insersio sebagai ujung otot dan belly sebagai titik tengah otot, jadi setiap terjadi gerakkan maka otot bagian beli akan mengembang atau menggelembung. Teknik pengambilan data yaitu dengan merekam data dalam bentuk 3D, setiap terjadi kontraksi maka otot bagian beli akan mengelembung dan data inilah yang akan diolah dan dibandingkan. Dari pengolahan data ini akan didapat kekuatan maksimum kontraksi yang akan dipakai sebagai acuan untuk besaran pergeseran otot khususnya pada otot frontalis. Dalam deteksi pergerakkan akan menggunakan metode gray level co-occurrence matrix (GLCM), dan akan didapatkan pula besaran pergeseran otot secara maksimal. Dari hasil pengujian didapatkan nilai pergeseran pergerakkan otot sebesar 1,367 4,460.

Abstract

One of the effects of the disorders of nervus VII (n. Facialis) is the damage of facial muscle. The research is needed in order to detect or as the therapies aids on the damage of the VII nerve by measuring the strength of maximum contraction, to help a therapy or detect the damage which caused by the decreasing of the VII nerve function. These measurement is taken from the difference on myofibrin when the contractions, because when the contraction happen, the myofibrin will distend and the difference can be detected as the strength of contraction. From the result of the comparison, EMG with the test result is the shift muscle movement amount of 1.367 up to 4.460. The mean value of rest muscle is in the range of 0.635 with interval at+0.463, on the move muscles the mean value of the muscle moving is in the range of 3,563 with interval at+1,069. This test is linear with the data EMG.

Abstract

Driving system of electric car for low speed has a performance of controller that is not easily set up on large span so it does not give a comfort to passengers. The study has been tested in the bumpy road conditions, by providing disturbances in the motor load, it is to describe the condition of the road. To improve the system performance, the speed and torque controller was applied using Field Oriented Control (FOC) method. In this method, On-Line Proportional Integral Derivative Fuzzy Logic Controller (PID-FLC) is used to give dynamic response to the change of speed and maximum torque on the electric car and this results the smooth movement on every change of car performance both in fast and slow movement when breaking action is taken. Optimization of membership functions in Fuzzy PID controller is required to obtain a new PID parameter values which is done in autotuning in any changes of the input or disturbance. PID parameter tuning in this case using the Ziegler-Nichols method based on frequency response. The mechanism is done by adjusting the PID parameters and the strengthening of the system output. The test results show that the controller Fuzzy Self-Tuning PID appropriate for Electric cars because they have a good response about 0.85% overshoot at to changes in speed and braking of electric cars.

Abstract

Segmentation is the first step in osteoarthritis classification. Manual selection is time-consuming, tedious, and expensive. The system is designed to help medical doctors to determine the region of interest of visual characteristics found in knee Osteoarthritis (OA). We propose a fully automatic method without human interaction to segment Junction Space Area (JSA) for OA classification on impaired x-ray image. In this proposed system, right and left knee detection is performed using using Contrast-Limited Adaptive Histogram Equalization (CLAHE) and template macthing. The row sum graph and moment methods are used to segment the junction space area of knee. Overall we evaluated 98 kneess of patients. Experimental results demonstrate an accuracy of the system of up to 100% for detection of both left and right knee and for junction space detection an accuracy 84.38% for the right knee and 85.42% for the left. The second experiment using gabor filter with parameter α=8, θ=0, Ψ=[0 Π/2], γ=0,8 and N=8 and row sum graph give an accuracy 92.63% for the right knee and 87.37% for the left. And the average time needs to process is 65.79 second. For obvious reasons we chose the results of the fourth to segment junction area in both right and the left knee.

Abstract

his paper discusses how to enhance the ability of text modeling in Arabic during chat sessions. Hanini and Jabari et al. modeled the text in chat sessions, but there is still a problem when using Arabic , because the Arabic language is very difficult to comprehend, has complex derivative and many ambiguities. This paper enhanced the previous study and added MADAMIRA tool to analyze the Arabic text. Monitoring and modeling has been completed through the text modeling process by evaluating the student expressions within the chat session using MADAMIRA tool and machine learning. MADAMIRA tool enables the modeling process to categorize Arabic text into different categories, which makes it easier to use the levels of the used expressions and discover the importance of the chat session between two peers. The process of the student modeling using MADAMIRA and Machine learning will update the student model which gathers information about the student achievements within the AVCM.

Abstract

Currently, volatility, uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity (VUCA) have become unavoidable problems. In addition, knowledge or information that is not managed properly can result in inappropriate decision-making processes within an organization. Business Intelligence conception is then becoming an essential view for converting unstructured data and information into a more actionable strategic plan that allows organizations to make competitive decisions. Village Government (VG) is the smallest organization in the Indonesian government system because VG implemented regulation and development programs in all areas of a national government. VG executes a series of tasks every year starting from planning, budgeting, administrating, executing, and reporting. However, the important role of VG in the development of a country brings also some drawbacks such as corruption and other domino effects. Several factors have been identified that cause those problems such as lack of capabilities in managing village organization and human resources quality. Monitoring and evaluation regarding those VG performances normally have been done each year. However, measurable evaluation standard for VG performance until recently has not been determined nationally. This study is intended to make a comprehensive standard of village government performance assessment through a Good Governance Framework approach. This study involved 198 villages from Madiun Regency as a case study. Seventy-four measured parameters were proposed to evaluate VG performance mapping. Fuzzy TOPSIS is implemented to rank those 198 villages into 4 groups of VG performance levels. The fuzzy TOPSIS classification result has been validated by using manual scoring and the accuracy reached 86,4%.

Abstract

Indonesia is a tropical country located on the equator. The average intensity of solar radiation in Indonesia is 4.8 kWh/m2. This makes Indonesia a country with new and ren ewable energy potential, one of which is solar panel technology. The first step that must be done in the process of installing solar panels in a place is to analyze the potential of solar energy. In this study, an analysis of the potential of solar energy as a new renewable energy source has been carried out at Budi Luhur University, North Petukangan, South Jakarta. Based on the research results, the maximum photovoltaic efficiency that can be achieved is 21.45%. During the day, the efficiency of the solar panels increases along with the ncrease in the value of the voltage obtained. However, the higher the panel temperature, the lower the efficiency of the solar panel. Therefore, a cooling system is needed to anticipate this.

Abstract

Sinyal electromyography (EMG) merupakan suatu sinyal elektrik yang terdapat dalam lapisan otot selama gerakan aktif. Cara orang berjalan ditentukan oleh struktur otot dan tulang sehingga cara berjalan ini adalah unik dan dapat digunakan sebagai data biometrik. Pada penelitian ini, kami mengklasifikasi data EMG dari delapan jenis otot tungkai selama percobaan berjalan normal: Rectus Femoris, Vastus Lateralis, Vastus Medialis, Bicep Femoris, Semitendinosus, Gastrocnemius Lateralis, Gastrocnemius Medialis, dan Tibialis Anterior. Enam orang subyek diminta untuk berjalan di laboratorium GaitLab dengan 8 buah elektroda EMG ditempel pada otot mereka. Subyek diminta untuk berjalan sebanyak 1 gait cycle dengan 3 kali pengambilan data. Total dataset EMG untuk klasifikasi adalah sebanyak 18 buah. Metode graph feature extraction dan principal component analysis digunakan untuk ekstraksi fitur data EMG. Metode Random Forest digunakan untuk mengklasifikasi data EMG berdasarkan subyek. Metode pelatihan dan pengujian data EMG menggunakan cross validation (CV). Akurasi klasifikasi yang dihasilkan dengan menggunakan metode graph feature extraction adalah sebesar 88.88% dan metode principal component analysis adalah sebesar 72.22%. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa data EMG ketika berjalan dari 8 jenis otot tungkai dapat digunakan untuk identitas biometrik gaya berjalan (gait).
