Abstract

This research is for finding the suitable synthetic daily rainfall generating model in the Middle Brantas River Basin - East Java. There are 7 models being considered, 4 single-site models, (1) the two-part, (2) the transition probability matrix, (3) the resampling, and (4) the time series, and 3 multisite models, (5) the conditional, (6) the extension of single site Markov chain, and (7) the random cascade. All time-series produced by the models are then tested statistically. The results show that the differences between the historial time series and the synthetical time series are not too significant. It turn out that the synthetic time series of multisite models are better than the synthetic time series of single-site models.Keywords: generating model, synthetic data, daily rainfall.

Abstract

ABSTRAK: Daerah Aliran Sungai (DAS) Jragung terletak pada Wilayah Kerja Balai Besar Wilayah Sungai Pemali Juana. Pertambahan penduduk di DAS Jragung wilayah hulu menyebabkan perubahan pada fungsi lahan. Studi Upaya Konservasi Lahan Berdasarkan Indikator Erosi dan Sedimen di DAS Jragung sangat diperlukan untuk meminimalkan permasalahan di DAS Jragung. Pendugaan laju erosi dan sedimentasi dihitung dengan model AVSWAT 2000. Hasilnya menunjukkan besarnya limpasan permukaan, erosi dan sedimentasi sebesar 707,519 mm/thn, 168,51 ton/ha/th dan 229.806,089 ton/th. DAS Jragung memiliki indeks bahaya erosi rendah sebesar 40,19%, sedang sebesar 25,66%, tinggi sebesar 14,63%, dan sangat tinggi sebesar 19,52% terhadap luas DAS jragung Upaya konservasi secara vegetatif dapat mereduksi erosi sebesar 38,19% dan secara mekanis dapat mereduksi sedimen sebesar 48,09%. Kata-kata kunci: Limpasan permukaan, erosi, sedimentasi, AVSWAT 2000 ABSTRACT: Jragung Watershed (DAS) located in BBWS Pemali Juana. The population increase that occurred in the upper reaches Jragung watershed cause many changes in land use. The study of land conservation efforts based on indicators of erosion and sediment in Jragung watershed is necessary to minimize the problems that exist in Jragung watershed. The estimation of the rate of erosion and sedimentation is calculated by the model approach AVSWAT 2000. The results showed that the amount of surface runoff, erosion and sedimentation on the current state of each of 707.519 mm / yr, 168.51 tons / ha / year and 229.806,089 tons / year. Jragung watershed have erosion hazard index was lower by 40.19%, currently at 25.66%, higher by 14.63%, and was very high at 19.52% of the area jragung watershed. Conservation efforts for vegetatif erosion can reduce the amount of 38.19% and mechanically reduce sediment of 48.09%. Key words: surface runoff, erosion, sedimentation, AVSWAT 2000

Abstract

Termostable enzyme from thermophilic bacteria is very potential to improve technical enzyme in industry which used hightemperature. High water temperature exerts selection pressure on microbial species leading to specific flora that survivesand tolerates heat stress. The relative isolation and unique physical properties of Bukit Kili Ketek Hot Springs in Solok,West Sumatera may yield unique thermophiles. The generation of extracellular enzymatic bacterial is highly desirable forproduction of hydrolitic enzymes, which are useful in various industrial application and in animal feeds. This study,conducted to purify extracellular enzymes from thermophilic bacteria (Anoxybacillus sp.). This bacteria was isolated inBukit Kili Ketek Hot Springs, and after identified by analysis of 16S rRNA gene, 97% of similiarty with Anoxybacillus sp.was of obtained. The temperature of the hot waters was 52°C and the pH was 8. Extracellular and hydrolytic enzymeproduction were screened by qualitative SDS-PAGE method. SDS-PAGE analysis gave protein bands at ±110 kDa, ±80 kDa,±60 kDa, 50 kDa, 25 kDa, and ±10 kDa, respectively. Extracellular enzymes were used to degrade cellulose waste. Thecellulose activity for degradation of baggasse and pineapple pulp was 0,451 IU/mL and 0,310 IU/mL at 50°C and pH 6.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian VCO  (Virgin Coconut Oil) pada pembuatan sabun susu kambing terhadap kadar pH dan total koloni bakteri asam laktat. Materi penelitian ini menggunakan susu kambing Peranakan Etawa sebanyak 1 000 ml dan VCO sebanyak 250 ml. Metode penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) dengan 4 perlakuan dan 5 kelompok sebagai ulangan. Perlakuan yang diberikan dalam penelitian ini  adalah pemberian VCO sebanyak  A (10%),  B (20%), C (30%), dan D (40%).Variabel yang diamati adalah kadar pH, total koloni bakteri asam laktat sabun susu kambing. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian VCO dalam pembuatan sabun susu kambing berpengaruh sangat nyata menurunkan kadar pH, dan meningkatkan total koloni bakteri asam laktat. Pemberian VCO sebanyak 40% yang terbaik untuk menghasilkan sabun susu kambing dengan dengan kadar pH 7.69 dan total koloni BAL 5.59  x 107 CFU/g serta memberi peluang untuk bisnis. Kata kunci : susu kambing, Virgin Coconut Oil, sabun, pH sabun, bakteri asam laktat  ABSTRACT This research aims to determine the effect of giving the level of VCO (Virgin Coconut Oil) on the manufacture of goat milk soap on the pH value, total and lactat acid bacterial colonies. This research  material uses goat milk of Etawa hybrid as much as 1000 ml and VCO (Virgin Coconut Oil) as much as 250 ml. Methods of research using randomized block design with 4 treatments and 5 groups as replicates.Treatment given in this research is the level of VCO (Virgin Coconut Oil) as much as A (10%), B (20%), C (30%), and D (40%). The observed variable is the pH value, total bacterial colonies, and total lactat acid bacterial colonies goat milk soap. The results showed that giving of VCO (Virgin Coconut Oil) in the manufacture of goat milk soap is very real decrease pH value, total bacterial colonies and increase total lactat acid bacterial colonies.  Giving of VCO (Virgin Coconut Oil) as much as 40% of the best to produce goat milk soap with 7.69 pH value, 2.36 x 104 CFU/g total bacterial colonies, 5.59 x 107 CFU/g total lactat acid bacterial colonies and incrased for incame per capita. Abstract

Abstract: This research is motivated by the importance of students' perceptions about the authority of teachers that will be related to student learning attitudes. An authoritative teacher will produce good interactions with students, so the learning activities will go well. This study aims to look at the relationship between students 'perceptions about the authority of teachers with students' mathematics learning attitudes. This type of research is quantitative research with a correlation approach. The population in this study amounted to 164 students. The sample used in this study was a random sampling so that a sample of 60 people was obtained. The results of research students' perceptions of the authority of the teacher got an average percentage score of 85% with a very high category, for the attitude of learning mathematics students got an average percentage score of 85% with a very high category. Furthermore, the correlation analysis results obtained (3.081)> (1.67) then Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected, where the authority of the teacher contributes to the attitude of learning mathematics by 14.10% and the remaining 85.90% is determined by other factors and the relationship of student perception about the authority of teachers with the attitude of learning mathematics students in on class V 189 Primary School Pekanbaru Pekanbaru with a Pearson Correlation value of 0.375, which means positive with a low level of correlation.Key Words: Perception, Authority, Attitude

Abstract

Metode penelitian yang dilakukan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang mengadaptasi model Kemmis & Mc. Taggart dan terdiri dari dua siklus tindakan. Topik bahasan disesuaikan dengan materi pelajaran tematik Selalu Berhemat Energi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan hasil belajar siswa setelah tindakan pembelajaran dengan media vidio di mana nilai rata-rata kelas terus mengalami peningkatan dari 58,52 pada kondisi awal menjadi 68,52 pada siklus pertama, dan pada akhir siklus kedua menjadi 75,56 dengan tingkat ketuntasan belajar yang juga meningkat pada setiap siklusnya, yaitu 7 orang siswa (25,93%) pada kondisi awal, menjadi 59,26% atau 16 siswa, dan pada siklus terakhir menjadi 92,59% atau 25 siswa dari 27 siswa, Kesimpulan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media gambar terbukti dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas IV SDN 1 Sukosari Kecamatan Trenggalek Kabupaten Trenggalek.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap bagaimana lesson study mampu memperbaiki kualitas pembelajaran Geografi dan menguatkan karakter learner, sharing, caring, and collaborative peserta didik di SMAN 10 kelas XII IPS 2 Kota Ternate. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif-kuantitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi, analisis catatan refleksi,  dan dokumentasi. Observasi dalam penelitian ini dilakukan dalam tiga tahap. Tahapan perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan refleksi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan sebagai berikut: 1) kemampuan guru model dalam mendesain perencanaan pembelajaran (lesson design) sebesar 65%; 2) kemampuan guru model dalam mendesain kelas (class design) sebesar 87,50%; dan 3) kemampuan guru model dalam menerapkan pembelajaran (open class) sebesar 82,14%. Sedang hasil pengamatan karakter LSCC peserta didik selama dalam proses pembelajaran dapat dipersentasekan sebagai berikut: 1) karakter learner sebesar 70%; 2) karakter sharing sebesar 40%; 3) karakter caring sebesar 20%; dan 4) karakter collaborative sebesar 50%.

Abstract

Background Enteropathogenic Escherichia coli (EPEC) is a causative agent of intestinal inflammation and microfloral imbalance, leading to diarrhea. The presence of tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) in the feces is an indicator of inflammation in the intestinal mucosa. Dadih, (local made of fermented buffalo milk), contains probiotics and is widely consumed by the people in West Sumatera, Indonesia. Weisella paramesenteroides, a probiotic lactic acid bacteria (LAB), has been isolated from dadih and is believed to be useful for improving intestinal microflora balance and inhibiting the activity of harmful microbes. Objective To determine the efficacy of W. paramesenteroides administration in various doses and durations on bowel frequency, stool’s TNF-α levels, and intestinal microflora balance on mice with EPEC-induced diarrhea. Method This randomized experimental animal study examined two factors relating to the effects of W. paramesenteroides on EPEC-induced diarrhea, namely doses of probiotics (factor A), and durations of observation (factor B). The subjects consisted of 100 male white mice (Mus musculus) aged 8 weeks, with weights of 25-30 grams. The outcomes measured were bowel frequency, stool’s TNF-α levels, and the balance of intestinal microflora on mice with EPEC-induced diarrhea. Subjects were divided into 5 groups: the negative control group (received neither EPEC nor probiotic), positive control group (received only EPEC), and three experimental groups (received EPEC and different doses of W. paramesenteroides ). Probiotics were given twice at the 12-hours and 24-hours for the experimental groups, while the durations of observation conssited of baseline, 12 hours, 24 hours, and 36 hours. Results After 36 hours, subjects with EPEC-induced diarrhea who received W. Paramesenteroides administration in doses of 2 x 108 (A3), were found to have the largest decline of mean defecation (a 4.4-fold decline) and the largest decline of stool’s mean TNF-α levels (48.3 pg/mL), compared to the positive control group, and other experimental groups who received higher doses of probiotics.
