Abstract

One causes of  low science  learning is low  of ability  in problems solving. For motivate student increase of ability  in problems solvier needfull ability  in creative  thinking especially for contents of sounds, lighting, and optic instruments.  The purpose of this research was to determine the learning result of the science students and to  investigate  the  effect  student worksheet based models creative problem solving to  the leaning result  of science  students grade VIII at SMPN 3 Padang. Type of research was quasi experimental  research with  randomized  control group only design. The population in this research were the students grade VIII SMPN 3 Padang who were registered in the 2014/2015 academic year.  Sampling  technique was  cluster random sampling. There were  three instruments  in  this  research,  tose are  test  sheet of cognitive domain, observation  sheet of affective domain, and  performance  sheet  of  pschycomotor  domain.  Based  on  the  data  analysis  could  be  presented  the  result  of  this research. Results of  research  show  the average of science  learning outomes are  69,44  and  67,68  at  cognitive  domain,  77,50  and  72,27  at  affective  domain,  84,53  and  78,94  at pschycomotor domain. By using  t analysis,  tcount > ttable  so  alternatif hipotesis  is accepted. The use student worksheet based models creative problem solving  has given significant effect toward Physics studies result of students grade VIII  SMPN 3 Padang at 0,05 significant level

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of problem-based learning models with the help of animation media on student learning outcomes on thermodynamic material and mechanical waves in class XI MAN 2 PADANG. The method used in this experiment is to use quasy experiments with random control group designs. The population in this study were students of class XI MAN 2 PADANG who were registered in the even semester 2018/2019. Sampling is done by purposive sampling technique whose research results are concentrated in cognitive and psycomotor values only. After conducting this research it can be concluded that problem-based learning with the help of animation media has a good influence on student learning outcomes.

Abstract

One factor that makes Students having low competency in Natural Science is the use of ineligible worksheet which don’t matching with teacher’s learning method applied. One of solutions to overcome the issue is the use of student worksheet based on Discovery Learning assisted by Mind Map. Kind of research is quasi experimental research by design of Randomized Control Group Only Design. The population of this research is students of SMPN 6 Bukittinggi grade 7th in 2014/2015. Sample is taken based on Purposive Sampling technique. Research cover competency of attitude, cognitive, and skill aspect. The research instrument is observation form for attitude and skill aspect than test for cognitive aspect. The data was analysed by using t- test. Based on analysis of data, average of experimental sample competency more than control sample. The result of the research shows that the using of student worksheet based on Discovery Learning assisted by Mind Map gives significant impact to students’ Natural Science competency of SMP Negeri 6 Bukittinggi grade 7th at 0,05 significance level

Abstract

The science learning in curiculum, 2013, developed as integrative science. Wherever integrated by physic, biology, and chemistry subject. The real conditions in school that the integrated sciences subject is low. One solution can be done is to apply the integrated science text book sequenced model wich theme adaptation system of human body at temperature. The purpose of study is to investigate the influence of thect booj sequenced Model. Theme adaptation system of human body at temperature toward learning outcomes of students in SMPN 8 Padang.The type of this strudy is Quasi experiment with design Rendomize control-Group design. The population of this study are all of students grade VII in SMPN 8 Padang listed in the school on 2017/2018. Sampling of this study is purposive sampling, the sample in this study are grad VII A as experiment class and grade VIIB as control class all total 64 students. The instrument of study are asheet of learning out comes to assess the aspect of knowledge and asheet of performance to assess the aspect of skill. The data of this study were analysed by using analysist descriptive, hypotesis test, simple linear regression and correlation test.  On the level of real on 0,05 for both aspect. The result of study has be gotten the data knowledge and skills. Result of data analysist that the Text book integrated science subject sequenced model theme adaptation system of human body at temperature give a meaningful effect on learning outcomes onknowladge aspect and skill aspect grad VII on the level of trust 95% the effect of outcomes Skill  student is 17% and 72% affected by other factor.

Abstract

he 2013 curriculum is a curriculum that demands scientific learning. One of the subjects in school that can be done scientifically and support the thinking ability of learners is the subject of physics. However, the reality of the field in the process of physics learning has not fully run in accordance with what is demanded by the 2013 curriculum and not yet support the thinking ability of learners. One of the solutions is to use LKPD-based learning model of thinking skills improvement (MPPKB). The purpose of this research is to investigate the influence of the use of LKPD based on MPPKB on Business, Energy, Momentum and Impuls on the competence of students of class X SMAN 1 Painan.Type of research is Quasi Experiment with postest only control Group Design. The population of the study were students of class X MIA SMAN 1 Painan registered in academic year 2016/2017. Sampling is done by Cluster Random Sampling technique. Research data includes competence of knowledge, attitude, and skill area. The research instruments are final test sheets for knowledge domain competencies, observation sheets for attitude stance competencies, and performance sheets for skills competencies. Technique of data analysis through equality test of two mean with t test statistic at domain of knowledge, attitude, and skill.Based on data analysis conducted, can be presented two results of this study. First, the average score of learners using LKPD based on MPPKB in learning on the knowledge, attitude, and skills of each 83; 83.10; And 86.76. Second, the use of LKPD based on MPPKB gives a significant influence on the physics competence of learners in the realm of knowledge, attitude and skills at the real level of 0.05

Abstract

One of the factors causing low learning outcomes Physics is the lack of ability of the students in solving problems. Businesses that can be done to improve students' ability to solve problems is to use a worksheet integrated motion system of the human body with Cooperative Problem Solving learning model. This study aims to investigate the influence and contribution of Student Worksheet integrated motion system of the human body in Cooperative Problem Solving learning on Physics learning outcomes in Class X SMAN 5 Padang. This type of research is a quasi experimental research with the study design randomized control group only design. The study population were students of class X SMAN 5 Padang enrolled in the academic year 2015/2016. Sampling was done by purposive sampling techniques, the class obtained as an experimental class X 10 and X 11 as the control class. Data on research are physics students' learning outcomes data, value data Student Worksheet integrated motion system of the human body. The research instrument was a written test for cognitive, observation sheet for affective, and psychomotor rubric for scoring. Data analysis used the equality of two average on the real level of 0.05, regression and correlation tests for cognitive, affective, and psychomotor. The results showed that the average value of Physics graders experimental and control group was 81.33 and 74.57 for the cognitive, 83.08 and 78.65 for affective domain, and 81.33 and 76.96 for psychomotor. Based on the equality test two averages in the cognitive, affective and psychomotor using t test, the result tcount> ttabel. Results of regression and correlation test obtained contributions Student Worksheet integrated motion system of the human body on the cognitive amounted to 90.27%, the affective domain by 60.56%, and the psychomotor amounted to 82.82%. Conclusion of the study is 1) there is a significant influence Student Worksheet integrated motion system of the human body in a circular motion materials, dynamics and Newton's laws against Physics learning outcomes in Cooperative Problem Solving learning in Class X SMAN 5 Padang on the real level of 0.05 is acceptable, 2) there is a meaningful contribution Student Worksheet integrated motion system of the human body in a circular motion materials, dynamics and Newton's laws against Physics learning outcomes in Cooperative Problem Solving  learning in class X SMAN 5 Padang

Abstract

Ceramic pellet has been made for the Negative Thermal Coefficient (NTC) thermistor from Fe2O3 base material of yarosite mineral. The powder of Fe2O3and ZrO2 is mixed and then crushed until homogeneous for ± 30 minutes. The mixture of the powder is pressed with 60 ton/cm2 to form a pellet on the 8 mm diameter mold. The pellets are sintered at a temperature of 1200oC for 3 hours in a furnace with atmospheric air. The pellet from the sintering process is coated with silver as an electrode. Next will be characterized using XRD (X-Ray Diffractometer), SEM (Scan Electron Microscope) and electrical characterization. Based on the results of XRD analysis it is known that the ceramics formed with the addition of ZrO2 0% doping, ZrO2 1% and ZrO2 3% have hexagonal hematite structure. Grain size based on SEM analysis, for each addition of 0% doping, ZrO2 1% and ZrO2 3% respectively is 10.81 μm; 11.51 μm and 10.24 μm. Results of measurement of electrical resistance, thermistor constant value is 3322 K, 3645 K and 5873 K. Conclusion in this study is the addition of ZrO2 does not affect the crystal structure formed based on the analysis using XRD. Addition of ZrO2 into Fe2O3 ceramic causes the grain size is relatively unchanged significantly. Based on the measurement of lstric resistance, the greater the ZrO2 addition concentration, the greater the resistance value at room temperature and the resulting thermistor constant

Abstract

Learning science by 2013’s curriculum one of them is using inquiry learning model that comes with the use of teaching materials such as students worksheet in accordance with the syntax of the learning model. Students Worksheet that exist in schools does not yet support teacher learning model chosen optimally, because whatever the chosen learning model teacher the book remains is same. Therefore conducted a study to investigate the effect of guided inquiry-oriented students worksheet towards science competency of VII’s class SMPN 2 Bukittinggi on inquiry learning model with guided inquiry method. The research is a quasi-experimental design with posttest only control design on two groups of randomly selected classes. The population in this study is all of VII’s classes SMPN 2 Bukittinggi enrolled in the academic year 2014/2015. Sampling using cluster random sampling. Samples are VII.4’s class as an experimental class and control class is VII.5’s class. Data collection techniques for competency attitude using non-test techniques, using technical knowledge competency test, and competence skills in using non-test techniques. Analysis of the data is done by testing the equality of two average. IPA competence students experimental class average rating is better than the control class. The average value of competence attitudes, knowledge, and skills in sequence for the experimental class 82.20; 83.46; and 78.90 and 77.10 for the control class; 78.70; and 71.90. After testing the equality of two average there are significant differences between the experimental class with a third control class in the realm of competence. It can be concluded that the use of guided inquiry-oriented students worksheet have an influence on the science competency of class VII SMPN 2 Bukittinggi on the real level of 0.05

Abstract

One of the subjects that are important for the development of science and technology is the study of Physics. The results obtained by the students in learn physics is still low. Media that are less attractive and less effective learning strategies in the learning process of physics to be the cause . Physics learning process can be improved by applying learning media in the form of a virtual laboratory with cooperative learning model Student Team Learning. The type of this research is “quasi experiment research” with “Randomized Control Group Only Design” . The population of this research is students of class X MAN 2 Padang listed in the Academic Year 2013/2014 . Sample was collected by cluster random sampling . The data of the research were the student’s learning outcomes in the area of cognitive aspects, affectif aspects, and psychomotor aspects. The research’s instrument are test sheet (multiple choice) for cognitive aspects, observation sheet for affective aspect, and score rubric for phychomotor aspect. The result of this research showed that the mean score of the experimental class was higher then control class. There is the influence of the use of Virtual Laboratory in cooperative learning Student Team Learning ( STL ) to the physics student learning outcomes in MAN 2 Padang

Abstract

Nanofluid has better thermal characteristics and better heat transfer coefficient compared to conventional coolant fluid [6].This makes the nanofluids has potential as a good alternative coolant fluid compared conventional coolant fluid. Nanofluids are a mixture of basic fluids such as water with solid particles of size 1-100 nm (Nanoparticles). In this study the nanoparticles to be used are Al2O3. The synthesis of Al2O3 was conducted by sol gel using chelation of Averrhoa bilimbi with calcination temperature of 1100 for 3 hours. Al2O3 powder obtained then characterized by using XRD. Furthermore, Al2O3 nanoparticles mixed into 100 ml of distilled water with concentration variations 0,2%; 0,5% dan 0,8% and characterized using test equipment Viscosity, Zeta Potential meter and Critical Heat Flux (CHF). Results obtained in the study was the effect of the addition of Averrhoa bilimbi extract as chelating against nanoparticles of Al2O3 to prevent agglomeration/buildup on each other. XRD data showed that the Al2O3 nanoparticles has crystallite size of 10,40 nm. Then the effect of addition Al2O3 nanoparticle concentration that were suspended in 100 ml of distilled water to the value of fluid Viscosity, Zeta Potential and Critical Heat Flux.Viscosity increases with the addition of Al2O3 nanoparticle concentration, at the same temperature (27°C) of optimum viscosity value at 0.8% concentration of 0.9830 mPa.s. Meanwhile, the potential zeta value also increases with the addition of Al2O3 nanoparticle concentration. The zeta potential value is optimum at 0.8% concentration of 35 mV. Furthermore the value of CHF at a concentration of 0.2%; 0.5% and 0.8% were 17.29%; 77.04% and 76.70% for each. Overall the value of CHF increases with the addition of Al2O3 nanoparticle concentration
