Abstract

Papua merupakan salah satu provinsi yang berada di paling timur Indonesia. Hal tersebut berdampak pada perkembangan Pendidikan terutama kemampuan akademik mahasiswa berkaitan dengan statistika. Selain dari letak geografisnya, terdapat factor lain yang mempengaruhi kemampuan akademik tersebut salah satunya factor internal yakni gaya belajar statistika yang terdiri dari gaya belajar visual, audio dan kinestetik (VAK). Survei gaya belajar dilakukan pada perguruan tinggi negeri yang terletak kota jayapura yaitu institute agama islam negeri (IAIN) Fattahul Muluk Papua dan Universitas Cenderawasih. Hasil dari survei menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa Pendidikan matematika memiliki kecenderungan pada gaya belajar audio. Hasil tersebut didasarkan pada perolehan nilai mean mahasiswa IAIN FM sebesar 15,65 dan mahasiswa UNCEN sebesar 16,74. Keduanya memiliki nilai mean yang masuk dalam kategori tinggi.

Abstract

Jigsaw Learning Model is a type of cooperative learning that consists of several members who are responsible for mastering the learning material section and can teach the material to other members in the group. This research was conducted to increase student motivation and learning outcomes by implementing the Jigsaw Learning Model in social studies subjects at an elementary school. The approach used in this study is qualitative research, while the research method is qualitative classroom action research (CAR). The location of this research is the PGMI study program of IAIN Fattahul Muluk Papua and the data collection techniques such as observation, documentation study test, and interview. The data analysis technique uses a comparative approach. The results of this research, there was an increase in motivation and learning outcomes of the PGMI Study Program in IAIN Fattahul Muluk Papua from observation data in cycle I and cycle II. In the first cycle, the student learning motivation was 70.25%, and in the second cycle, the student motivation increased to 77.25%, there is an increase of 7.25%. While the enhancement in learning achievement is, in the pre-test the average score of students was 62.50, then in the first cycle the average value 9 students were 77.50, and in the second cycle test, the average value of students was 79.50 , there is an enhancement compared to the previous test.

Abstract

The school curriculum assists students in developing the knowledge, skills, attitudes, values, and morals needed to participate in community life at the local, national and global levels. This study aims to determine the implementation of Social Science learning in forming students' character in elementary schools. This research is a literature review research using the Google Scholar search engine with a total of 68 articles. The results obtained 11 articles that were by the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The results showed that the process of implementing or implementing Social Science learning was carried out properly by the goals of national education and then carried out character education or formed the character of elementary school students by the cultural character of the local community. However, there are several obstacles such as the problem of assessing attitudes and environmental factors, so the solution to overcome the problem is to make an assessment format and install monitoring cameras in every hallway and classroom.
