Abstract

This research was conducted to prove the extent of changes in social norms among young people in a small town. The case study are the two cities: Indramayu and Cirebon. It aims to analyze the things that cause a change in norms of the youth association. The method is survey and observation, with quantitative data collected by questionnaire. The samples in this study were 300 respondents using quota sampling; i.e., 150 respondents drawn from high school in Indramayu, and the rests were taken from Cirebon. The analysis was done by scoring techniques. Based on the results there are changes in social norms among the youths. For about 91 percent in Indramayu male and female respondents have dated at least once. Meanwhile in Cirebon, the pattern shows only 80 percent. There is also evidence that 53 percent young men and women in Indramayu have ever been kissed, and 29 percent for case in Cirebon. One of the causes of the change in norms is the globalization involving technology improvement, especially spreading of internet. The survey revealed that the most dominant in influencing the youngster relationship such as kissing, hugging, holding hands and even sexual intercourse is porn video. Approximately at56 percent or 167 people of the 300 respondents get the motivation after watching it.

Abstract

This article aims to reveal the function of the practice of reciting sab'u al-munjiyat in the female Islamic boarding school al-Mahrusiyah. Kediri. In their daily life, the students are required to take part in the reading of sab'u al-munjiya>t after the congregational maghrib prayer. Sab'u al- munjiya>t is a collection of seven selected suras, namely as-Sajdah, Yasin, ad-Dukhon, al-Waqi'ah, al-Mulk, al-Insan, and al-Buruj. Each of the seven surahs is read one sura in one day according to the existing schedule. There are two focuses of study in this research: 1) how is the practice of reading sab'u al- munjiya>t at Pesantren Putri Al-Mahrusiyah?, and how is the function of reading sab'u al-munjiya>t based on the structural functional paradigm of AR Redcliffe Brown? . This research includes field research and is studied using qualitative research methods. Data collection was obtained through interviews, observations, and documentation studies. Furthermore, data analysis was carried out using the AR. Redcliffe-Brown structural functional paradigm. The results of this study indicate; First, the practice of reading sab'u al-munjiyat is carried out by following several sequences. These include performing ablution, arranging prayer rows, performing prayers, praying Maghrib in congregation, reading some of wirid, and reading sab'u al- munjiya>t. 2) There are two structures in the practice of reading sab'u al- munjiya>t, namely the subject structure and the structure of reading sab'u al- munjiya>t. The subject structure consists of two social structures, namely kyai and santri. Meanwhile, in the structure of reading sab'u al- munjiya>t there are two network components, namely the structure of the form and the structure of the wirid. In terms of function, the practice of reading sab'u al- munjiya>t has many functions that cannot be separated from the basic needs of the entire network in its social structure. These functions include religious functions, educational functions, social functions, and sectarian ideological functions.

Abstract

Digital painting are alternative media that show visual messages which element of da’wahput into the painting. With digital painting, we can share da’wah with the precious look. One of them is smudge art technic from Baju Seno that choose K.H. Anwar Manshur as an object. As we know that “Yai Anwar Manshur” is Caretaker of Lirboyo Kediri Boarding School. This research has goals to describes the signs that appear from smudge art digital painting and also to describe the meaning inside. The research use qualitative approach. The writer use analytical method with Charles Sanders Pierce Semiotic Theory. With use Semiotic Theory, any signs will prefers to “Yai Anwar Manshur”. And all of the verbal and nonverbal signs have to interpretate to be understood. The most important source of data is derived through the signs that appear on the smudge art digital painting of “Yai Anwar Manshur” and the previous research result on same themes, books, and also journals. There are signs that appear in smudge art digital painting “Yai Anwar Manshur” from Baju Seno. Start from nonverbal signs that appear on facial expressions, body expressions, and gestures of “Yai Anwar Manshur” as objects. And also visual signs as like design elements, for example lines or scratches effect of smudge tool, color, texture, and gradation that appear in smudge art digital painting “Yai Anwar Manshur”. The meaning or interpretation of nonverbal and visual signs that appear, are related with “Yai Anwar Manshur” as digital painting objects. In terms of attitude and personality, it is depicted in sign that appear on the smudg art digital painting by Baju Seno Hartyanto. Firm, disciplined, simple, and humble attitudes also personalities are the meanings that appear behind nonverbal and visual signs in digital painting. And form here the person or figure of “Yai Anwar Manshur” can be a motivation while encouraging everyone to be positive and be a better personality. The message can be a da’wah for the generations of Muslims around, through a visual work in the from of smudge art digital painting with objects “Yai Anwar Manshur” by Baju Seno Hartyanto.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to explore and describe how the implementation of the Living Qur'an concept is carried out in Islamic education at the primary level, as well as how it impacts on students' character and attitude. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation and then analyzed using data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing techniques. The results showed that MI Miftahul Falaah Kediri City has implemented the concept of Living Qur'an in the learning process. Implementation is accomplished by teaching the Qur'an, learning Islamic values through real examples, and habituation in the correct worship procedures. As a result, students were able to understand the Qur'an holistically and practice it in everyday life. In addition, the implementation of Living Qur'an also has a positive impact on student characteristics and attitudes, such as increasing social care, tolerance, and respect for differences. This is because students have become accustomed to applying Islamic values to their daily lives. In addition, this study found that MI Miftahul Falaah's efforts in reviving the Quran were carried out in various ways, including: 1) Implementing Tahfidz Learning; 2) Getting used to reading short letters before learning begins; 3) Implementing Qur'an recitation learning; and 4) Yasin recitation.
