Abstract

Abstract Science instruction with conceptual material is often less attractive to students. It’s considered less attractive and difficult to understand than it’s necessary to develop interactive learning media for instruction. This study aims to develop the media and see its effect on increasing student interest in science instruction by using the Encyclopedia of Classification of Living Things through the demonstration method. This research was conducted on grade VII students at Madrasah Tsanawiyah 4 Ponorogo in the 2019/2020 school year. The type of research used is descriptive quantitative research. Data collection by filling out a questionnaire to measure students' interest in instruction. The results showed that there was an increase in student interest in instruction after using the Encyclopedia Media of Classification of Living Things. The average value obtained from before instruction was 74.76 while the average score obtained of post instruction was 75.52. Based on the analysis of these data, it can be concluded that there is an increase in student interest in science instruction by using encyclopedia media in classification of living things material. Abstract

AbstractThis research aimed to determine the effect of using chemical novel in learning activities to the understanding of concept and learning motivation in class X SMA Muhammadiyah 3 Yogyakarta of the school year 2012-2013. The research design is non equivalent control group design. Data is collected using pretest and post-test booklet and sheet scale learning motivation to the using chemical novel. The results of the data analysis in this research is on the motivation of learners average experimental and control classes, respectively 72.79 and 69.43. The results showed that the average experimental class on learning motivation is greater than the average grade control. The average is categorized according to both Sukardjo which is between 67.998 and 83.994. In aspect of understanding the concept, for posttest data is normally distributed with sig-class experimental and control respectively were 0.08 and 0.35. In homogeneity test data is homogeneous with sig 0.322. The average value of each class posttests were 70.44 and 65.33. Furthermore, using one way ANOVA that shows the value of Farithmetic>Ftable is 4.787> 3.995. This means chemical novel as learning resource on hydrocarbons gives a positive influence on chemistry learning activities.Keywords: Chemical novel, learning motivation, understanding of concept

Abstract

The online learning of organic chemistry series chemistry in class XII MIPA Catholic SMA Santu Petrus Pontianak in the first three months of the odd semester showed a decrease in interest in learning chemistry. This study was conducted to find chemistry lessons that match the career interests of students, especially the study topics in the physical chemistry learning series (voltaic cells and electrolytic cells). On the topic of voltaic cells, group projects are carried out by choosing their own types of assignments according to the interests and learning styles of students with activities of making chemical songs, simple practicum, limited webinars and advertisements for voltaic cell products. On the topic of electrolysis cells, a group project was carried out with the concept of combining economics/business into electrochemistry, called ecolectrochemistry. The voltaic cell project assessment uses five parameters: the accuracy of the voltaic cell concept, the relevance of the voltaic cell concept to the concept raised, creativity, fulfillment of task requirements, and collaboration. The ecolectrochemistry project assesses problem-solving skills using the IDEALS model, presentation assessment and assessment of creative and disciplined attitudes. The active and enthusiastic involvement of students is better than in the organic chemistry series. There is an increase in interest in learning chemistry from 27.38% to 65.48% and there is an increase in the average learning outcomes of the physical chemistry learning series compared to the organic chemistry learning series. These results indicate that learning designed according to students'.

Abstract

Research with information checking as a form of character management in education aims to determine the level of curiosity and responsibility of society, in this case, young people to report, to see how they manage the information obtained and disseminated. This research was conducted by survey method. The sampling technique using proportionate stratified random sampling to get a sample from the population in Vocational Health of Sadewa Yogyakarta. Instruments data acquisition using a questionnaire that contained 15 questions covering questions in the curiosity and responsibility for the information obtained. Based on the data obtained, it was found that there is a nursing class score of interest is 134, and commitment is 98. While the pharmaceutical grade score of curiosity is 148, and accountability is 78. The item of interest looked more significant than the things responsible for the information. Based on the calculation to be obtained percentage nursing class of 65.5% and pharmaceutical grade amounted to 67.25%. It is certainly still far from the ideals percentage of 100%. So it needs more attention to the cultivation of character the young generation in the era of freedom of information.

Abstract

Scientific writing skills are a very urgent need for students. This study aims to show the effect of the implementation of disciplinary literacy instruction as a strategy for scientific writing skills. The population of the study is the senior high school in Sleman region with  quasi-experimental method. The results of two replications were analyzed and showed normal and homogeneous results. This indicates that there is no difference in the learning outcomes of the two classes and shows the similarity of the cognitive abilities of the two classes, so research may proceed. The treatment given was in the form of disciplining literacy habits in students by using articles that contained problem-solving. Data collection using authentic assessment was in the form of student laboratory work reports. The analysis technique used to analyze the effect of the implementation of disciplinary literacy instruction on scientific writing skills was ANOVA test analysis at 0.05 significance level. The results showed that the sig value below 0.05 that is 0.01. This number indicates that there is an effect of the implementation of disciplinary literacy instruction to the students' writing skills on the material of electrolyte and non-electrolyte solution in the first grade of senior high school.

Abstract

Keputusan seseorang melakukan konversi agama, akan menimbulkan sejumlah masalah pada internal individu yang bersangkutan, maka pembinaan terhadap mereka harus dilakukan. Yayasan Muallaf Center Provinsi Kepulauan Riau merupakan salah satu lembaga masyarakat yang berperan aktif dalam pembinaan muallaf di Kepulauan Riau. Kegiatan kajian dan pembinaan terhadap muallaf telah berjalan, namun materi kajian belum tersusun rapi dalam bentuk silabus. Sehingga menyebabkan kejenuhan bafi beberapa muallaf. Untuk itu pimpinan Muallaf Center Provinsi Kepualauan Riau berharap agar kegiatan kajian di Yayasan tersebut bisa terstruktur dan dan tersusun rapi dalam bentuk silabus kegiatan kajian untuk muallaf yang dibina pada Yayasan tersebut. Penelitian ini berupaya mengidentifikasi masalah- masalah yang dihadapi dalam pembinaan pada muallaf dan bentuk-bentuk pembinaan yang dilakukan. Selanjutnya, untuk mengatasi problematika pembinaan muallaf, peneliti menawarkan solusi berupa program pendampingan penyusunan silabus kajian di Yayasan Muallaf Center Provinsi Kepualauan Riau.

Abstract

This study is about the theological views of mubalig on Covid-19 in the City of Tanjupinang, this research is a field research using theological theory related to the theological schools that developed in Islam, namely Qadariyah, Jabariyah and Ahlussunah and also the theory of the relationship between religion and science from Ian Barbour . This research resulted in the conclusion that: First; The view of the mubalig in responding to the theological views of the community on Covid-19, they have the theological view of Ahlussunah or Asy'ariyah, namely being trusting in Allah but also making efforts in tackling the Covid-19 outbreak by following health protocols. Second; most of their views individually/personally when they see this Covid-19 as a punishment or a trial/test from God, they view more of a trial/test from Allah even though in detail the meaning is different. So in general, in their view, the Corona pandemic is seen as a warning as well as a punishment for humans depending on the context of its meaning.
