Abstract

The title of the research report is Enhancing Students Grammar by Writing Journals (a case study: analyzing a student’s journal in one semester). The aim of the research is to analyze how writing journals can enhance students grammar of English which is influenced by Indonesian. As there is a big difference of present-past form of the verbs in both Indonesian and English, this research focused on those forms. The errors found in the students’ journals were analyzed. To get the answer of the aims, descriptive method is used. The data source is one student’s journal which is written in one semester (semester 2) by one of the students of 2012 English department. The result obtained is that there is an improvement in students’ grammar (in this research the use of present-past form the verbs) through writing journals. Key words: enhancing, journals , grammar

Abstract

The research is aimed to analyze the improvement of English speaking skills for higher education students by means of Self Recorded Video. The focus of this research is on four speaking skill categories; Pronunciation, Vocabulary, Grammar and Fluency. The recorded videos are analyzed.To get the answer of the aims, descriptive method is used. The data is students’ self recorded videos which were done  in one semester (semester 1). The result obtained is that practising speaking English through self-recorded video can improve student speaking skills. The improvement can be in one or more categories.Keywords: fluency, self-recorded video, descriptive method

Abstract

Pemanfaatan teknologi informasi berkembang sangat pesat di berbagai bidang, termasuk pemanfaatannya pada sistem recording data ternak. Dalam manajemen pemeliharaan hewan ternak di industri, pengaplikasian dan pemanfaatan teknologi ini membutuhkan tenaga kerja yang memahaminya dengan baik. Untuk itu, siswa SMK Peternakan sudah seharusnya diajarkan dan dibekali dengan kemampuan tersebut melalui kegiatan praktik lapangan. Persoalan yang dihadapi SMK Peternakan sebagai mitra PKM saat ini adalah kurangnya pengetahuan para pengajar Praktik Lapangan tentang sistem recording data ternak berbasis teknologi dan kurangnya sarana pendukung penggunaan sistem recording data ternak berbasis teknologi. Selain itu, SMK Peternakan belum dapat mengubah pola pembelajaran lama menuju pola pembelajaran baru yang dituntut pada kurikulum 2013, yaitu pola pembelajaran alat tunggal menjadi pembelajaran berbasis alat multimedia serta pola pembelajaran yang berpusat kepada siswa. Metode pendekatan yang digunakan untuk mencapai target luaran PKM ini adalah mengidentifikasi masalah dan studi literatur sebagai pedoman penyelesaian masalah, merancang sistem recording data ternak dalam pembelajaran Praktik Lapangan, menyusunan panduan pembuatan QR code, Google Form (Gform) untuk recording data dan tabulasi output data (database) ternak berbasis Google Drive (GDrive) beserta video tutorialnya, menyelenggarakan pelatihan untuk pengajar dan mengujicobakan sistem recording data ternak pada praktikum kepada siswa, mengevaluasi kegiatan, serta menyempurnakan program. Luaran kegiatan ini adalah sistem recording data ternak berbasis QR code disertai panduan pembuatan dan penggunaannya.

Abstract

Kurangnya peran serta warga atau masyarakat RW 02 Ciwaruga, Kabupaten Bandung Barat dalam pengelolaan sampah walaupun telah memiliki Bank Sampah Cempaka 2, yang dibentuk sejak tahun 2016. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan PKM ini  disesuaikan  dengan  kondisi dan waktu kegiatan Bank Sampah dengan langkah-langkah melakukan kunjungan dan diskusi dengan kader penggiat bank sampah, memotret dan mensosialisasikan tingkat keberhasilan bank sampah dilihat dari manfaat secara sosial dan ekonomi, serta merumuskan penyuluhan dan mempersiapkan berbagai media sosialisasi. Perilaku memilah sampah berpotensi untuk ditumbuhkan sebagai gerakan massal dan adanya Bank Sampah, secara ekonomi, sangat membantu dalam menciptakan pekerjaan dan menambah penghasilan masyarakat RW 02 Ciwaruga. Kata Kunci: Bank Sampah, Dampak Sosial, Ekonomi, Memilah Sampah
