This article aims to determine the impact of the application of ICT in social studies learning on students' interest in learning at SMPN 8 Rambang Kuang and the obstacles in implementing ICT in social studies learning. This type of research is qualitative research. The subjects of this study were students of SMPN 8 Rambang Kuang. The data analysis technique used is descriptive analysis technique. Data collection techniques used are interviews and observations. The findings show that the application of ICT in social science learning has been able to increase students' interest in learning. The level of achievement of the percentage of student participation specifically for social science subjects in the current year ranges from 80% to 90%. This shows that the use of ICT really helps students increase understanding of the material being taught and increase their insight into the material being taught.
