Abstract

Abstract

In general, the intelligence possessed by students is different from one another. The factors influence intrinsic factors, maturity, formation, interests, and freedom. In addition, environmental and educational factors also play a role in the formation of intelligence. This study aims to describe Kuhnian's paradigmatic analysis as a solution to the difficulties of abstract thinking in social studies learning. This study describes the discussion by utilizing a literature study. The research results are described in a paradigmatic analysis. Kuhn thoroughly examines each expert's thoughts and scientific works and reveals his contribution to the scientific revolution. Social studies learning dimensions are explained in the form of social action. Social studies are learning conditions of abstract thinking in the process of causality. The reconstruction to solve the problem of difficulty in abstract thinking in social studies subjects in junior high schools is carried out as follows: 1) Teaching social studies as integrative social studies, 2) implementing social studies learning using a trans-disciplinarity approach, 3) conveying that social studies learning is "advanced knowledge." 4) Applying the inquiry model, and 5) Integrating influential social studies learning.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze learning at the level of higher education. The practice of higher education, of course, also requires a transformation of learning. It is intended to achieve the competencies needed in the 21st century. The study used a qualitative approach. Observations were made on online learning practices at Lambung Mangkurat University, Banjarmasin, Indonesia from March to May 2021. In-depth interviews employed with 17 students who live in Banjarmasin. Miles and Huberman's data analysis technique reduces interview data. The study results described that learning at the higher education level has differences in the achievement of the graduate profile. There are two main patterns, namely, institution-centered learning and student-centered learning. The student's need for network strengthening requires the systemic transformation of learning. One learning transformation that can be carried out is strengthening learning practices outside the classroom with partners (stakeholders). The primary purpose of partner involvement is a condition designed so that students can increase network capital. This linking capital is expected to be an opportunity for students to increase student succession when they graduate from higher education.

Abstract

Sungai Lumbah Village and Bangkit Baru Village are two villages that experienced severe flooding in 2021. The flood events occur every rainy season and high tides. The purpose of this study was to analyze community-based flood mitigation in flood-prone villages, Barito Kuala Regency. The research was carried out in two villages, i.e., Sungai Lumbah Village and Bangkit Baru Village, with a total of 50 informants. The results showed that the pre-flood mitigation carried out by the community was by elevating the rice storage area. The community has never received socialization by the local government regarding flood prevention, but they did it on their own initiative and formed a flood alert team. When there was a flood, they set up a relief center to help the affected people. After the flood, the community cleaned up the flood marks in their respective homes and repaired the damaged agricultural land. Flood management is still carried out on the community's own awareness and is carried out voluntarily.

Abstract

Sasirangan is a traditional fabric typical of the Banjar tribal community and has now been developed into an industrial product in Banjarmasin. Sasirangan's business development shows a significant development and it becomes very essential to pay attention to how to maintain its business. This article aims to describe the business operations and distribution patterns in the Sasirangan clothing industry. The qualitative approach was used in this study coupled with data collection through interviews, observations, and documentation. The results showed that Sasirangan fabric products are produced by artisans who work individually or in groups and marketed by traders. Marketing of Sasirangan cloth products uses a direct distribution pattern to consumers, and indirectly uses a merchant intermediary who then resell them to consumers. The collaboration of Sasirangan artisan and traders can be further enhanced to develop a convection industry based on local culture.
