Abstract

This study seeks to examine the development of Moslem scholars idea on the methodology of religious studies published in the 1969-2012 timeframe. Historical method of collective idea with textual study approach is employed in this study. It is found in the study that the literature of religiuos studies which contain published methodology discussion develop slowly and quantitatively has not increased significantly. The methodology ideas contained in the literature have four variants of ideas, i.e.: the use of the remain scientific method, the use of scientific method for cultural and social religious phenomenon and theological normative approach for doctrine aspects, the use of synthesis method, and the use of non-West approach or the use of selective and critical West approach in religious studies.Keywords: Dynamics of ideas, Moslem Scholars, Religious Studies, published literaturePenelitian ini berusaha untuk mengkaji perkembangan pemikiran sarjana muslim tentang metodologi studi agama melalui literatur studi agama yang terpublikasi dalam rentang waktu 1964-2012. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode sejarah pemikiran kolektif dengan pendekatan kajian teks. Penelitian ini menemukan bahwa literatur studi agama yang memuat bahasan metodologi yang terpublikasi berkembang lamban dan tidak mengalami penambahan jumlah yang berarti. Gagasan metodologis yang terkandung di dalamnya memiliki empat varian pemikiran, yaitu cukup menggunakan metode ilmiah yang ada, menggunakan pendekatan ilmiah untuk fenomena keagamaan sosial dan budaya dan pendekatan teologis-normatif untuk aspek doktrin, menggunakan metode sintesis, dan adapula yang menghendaki menggunakan pendekatan non-Barat atau setidaknya menggunakan pendekatan Barat dengan kritis dan selektif dalam studi agama.Kata kunci: Dinamika Pemikiran, Sarjana Muslim, Studi Agama, literatur terpublikasi

Abstract

Keragaman pandangan tentang sistem penentuan awal bulan Qamariyah di kalangan umat Islam saat ini, selalu menimbulkan kebingungan di masyarakat, khususnya perbedaan penentuan hari-hari besar Islam seperti Idul Fitri dan Idul Adha karena sistem hisab dan rukyat belum begitu memasyarakat. Dan memunculkan stigma di kalangan masyarakat, kalau antara Hisab dan Rukyat merupakan dua hal yang bertolak belakang. Hal ini terutama dipicu oleh pihak-pihak yang mengeluarkan fatwa tentang waktu pelaksanaan penentuan awal ramaddhan dan hari raya. Maka tulisan ini akan membawa kita untuk mengetahui metode-metode penetapan awal-awal Ramadan dengan bulan Qamariyah yang digunakan oleh Thariqat Naqsabandiyah Baru Pauh dan efektifitas atau kekurangan metode yang digunakan dalam penentuan awal-awal Ramadan dengan bulan Qamariyah.

Abstract

In Indonesia, it will be said that A.Mukti Ali is a pioneer in introducing religious studies. A.Mukti Ali realized thatreligious studies did not only need the scientific methods but they must also integrate with social approaches. He thoughtreligious studies should be conducted objectively without involving the apologists-polemical element as a basic concept. Infact, the use of the scientific method, social sciences, and objective attitude do not be certainly enough to understandreligious phenomenon, despite religious reflection must be involved and researchers must give their views too. All componentsmust be synthesized in order to produce a holistic and integral assessment of religious phenomenon. The integratedcomponents that needed in studying religious phenomenon is what be called by Mukti Ali as a scientific approach-cumdoctrinaire.This writing will discussed about A.Mukti Ali’s thoughts in the field of religious studies.

Abstract

This paper tries to explore the intelectual Islamic dynamic in South Kalimantan throughthe studies on many influences that become the genealogic root of Islam in this region,and then through the religious literatures that referenced by the intelectual of religiouselite and the tipology of thought’s product that emerged for more than two centuries.Here, the writer uses the history of social-intelectual approach with based on the writtentext. This writing tells us that the genealogical root, intelectual reference, and the tipologyof religious thought which was producted actually part of the trend of intelectual muslimdynamic which commonly spreaded in Nusantara and Southeast Asia.

Abstract

preparation to learn natural science concepts. In fact, many students have difficulties in understanding the concepts, so that the average value of student achievement does not reach the standard. The purpose of this study was to improve students learning and understanding, as well as evaluate the response of the 7th grade students of SMPN 1 Rantau towards temperature and expansion concepts using STAD method. The method used in this study was action research. Data collection applied in this study was tests and questionnaires techniques. The data was analyzed by using percentage. This research was conducted at SMPN 1 Rantau. There are 33 of seventh grade students involved as the subject in this study. The results showed that student learning outcomes in concepts of temperature and expansion improved by the use of STAD model, students and teachers activities in learning were running well. Students were also have positive response to the implementation of STAD model. Keywords: Temperature, Expansion, STAD model  Abstrak. Konsep suhu dan pemuaian merupakan konsep yang sangat penting untuk dikuasai siswa sebagai bekal mempelajari konsep-konsep IPA selanjutnya. Padahal, justru banyak siswa mengalami kesulitan dalam memahami konsep suhu dan pemuaian, sehingga nilai rata-rata prestasi siswa tidak mencapai standar yang telah ditetapkan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan proses pembelajaran dan pemahaman siswa, serta mengetahui respon siswa kelas VII SMPN 1 Rantau terhadap pembelajaran konsep suhu dan pemuaian menggunakan metode STAD. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah action research. Pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik tes dan angket. Analisis data menggunakan teknik persentase. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di  SMPN 1 Rantau  dengan subjek 33 orang siswa kelas VII A. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada materi suhu dan pemuaian, aktivitas belajar siswa dan mengajar guru berlangsung baik, serta respon siswa terhadap pembelajaran konsep suhu dan pemuaian menggunakan model kooperatif tipe STAD positif.  Kata Kunci: Suhu, Pemuaian, model STAD.

Abstract

Abstract. This school action research aims to motivate teachers and be active in making the lesson plan, so the students motivation and achievement in science improve. The study was conducted for 3 (three) months in 3 cycles of action centered on evaluation sessions. Teacher activities data were generally obtained through observation and field notes, while teacher achievement was obtained through questionnaires and tests. The data were analyzed and interpretated qualitatively. The result showed that by using the modeling method, there was a change of teacher activeness in the effort of making the lesson plan, with activity level before the action below 65% increased to 85% on achievement aspect of teacher effort. There was also an increase in teacher effort with a grade point average before action below 6.5, increasing to 8.25 at the end of the action. From the research results can be concluded that the modeling method improves the teachers’’ ability in making the lesson plan. Keywords: lesson plan, modeling method. Abstrak. Penelitian tindakan sekolah ini bertujuan agar guru termotivasi dan aktif dalam membuat RPP IPA sehingga dapat meningkatkan motivasi dan prestasi belajar siswa pada pelajaran IPA. Penelitian dilaksanakan selama 3 (tiga) bulan dalam 3 siklus tindakan yang dipusatkan pada sesi evaluasi.  Data kegiatan guru  secara umum diperoleh melalui observasi dan  catatan lapangan, sedangkan prestasi guru diperoleh melalui hasil angket dan tes. Analisis dan interpretasi data dilakukan secara kualitatif. Hasil penilaian menunjukan bahwa dengan menggunakan metode pemodelan terjadi perubahan keaktifan guru dalam upaya pembuatan RPP IPA, dengan tingkat keaktifan sebelum tindakan di bawah 65 % meningkat menjadi 85% pada aspek prestasi upaya guru. Terdapat pula peningkatan upaya guru dengan nilai rata-rata kelas sebelum tindakan di bawah 6,5 ,meningkat menjadi 8,25 pada akhir tindakan. Dari hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa metode Pemodelan mampu meningkatkan kemampuan guru dalam membuat RPP IPA. Kata Kunci: Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran, Metode Pemodelan.

Abstract

Using mixed methods has not been widely discussed in the field of religious studies in Indonesia. This paper is presented to acomodate the use of this method in the study of religion in the region empirically. There are a number of strategies of mixed methods that can be used in studying religion, namely sequential mixed method, mixed method, and transformative concurrent mixed method. Each strategy is subdivided into several variants of strategies. All of these strategies can be used in studying the phenomenon of religion in accordance to the condition of the object, purpose of research and selection of researchers. Religious researchers can use this method if they want to understand religious phenomena simultaneously.
