Abstract

AbstrakBerdasarkan hasil observasi selama tiga minggu dan hasil tes diagnostik yangdilaksanakan pada mata pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia, menunjukkan pengenalan bentuk huruf pada siswa kelas 1 masih terbatas. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah meningkatkan pengenalan bentuk huruf pada siswa dengan menggunakan media flashcard. Penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) model Kemmis dan Taggart, yang berlangsung selama dua siklus. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada tanggal 24 Juli hingga 25 Oktober 2017 terhadap 6 siswa sebagai subyek penelitian, di Sekolah ABC Manado. Instrumen yang digunakan selama penelitian adalah lembar tes tertulis (tes diagnostik dan tes formatif), lembar observasi chekcklist penggunaan media, lembar wawancara (guru mentor dan subyek penelitian), dan jurnal refleksi.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan pengenalan bentuk huruf kelas 1 Sekolah ABC Manado pada mata pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di setiap indikator, dari siklus satu ke siklus 2. Masing-masing peningkatan indikator adalah 5,21% untuk indikator PBH-1, 12,53% untuk indikator PBH-2, dan 25% untuk indikator PBH-3. Maka disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan media flashcard dapat meningkatkan pengenalan bentuk huruf siswa kelas 1 pada mata pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di sekolah ABC Manado.AbstractBased on the observation for three weeks and diagnostic test result in Indonesian language subject, it is proven that the students in 1st grade of ABC’s School Manado have not yet fully understood alphabet form. The purpose of this research is to enhance the alphabet form recognition on students who become the subject of research by used flashcard media. The research method used in this research was a Classroom Action Research (CAR) Kemmis and Taggart’s model, held in two cycles. The research was conducted on July 24th until October 25th, 2017 towards 6 students, in ABC’s School Manado. Instruments used in this research were written test sheet (diagnostic test and formative test), observation check list media usage, interview sheet (mentor and students as research subjects), and reflection journal. Based on the research that has been done, it showed the increased of the alphabet form recognition on 1st grade students of ABC’s School Manado, in every indicators from first cycle to second cycle. The enhanced each of indicators are 5,21% for indicator PBH-1, 12,53% for indicator PBH-2, and 25% for indicator PBH-3. It is concluded that the use of flashcard media can enhance alphabet form recognition students of the 1st grade in Indonesian language subject of ABC’s School Manado.

Abstract

Abstract: Observing technological developments in the digital learning era with increasingly massive 21st-century skills approach in the education sector must be responded to with professional teacher competence. This study aims to analyze the extent to which the teacher's competencies in professional engagement and selecting digital sources in the teaching and learning process. The research methodology used was survey research to subject's teachers as many as 61 respondents located at Dian Harapan Karawaci School, Tangerang. Respondent data collection was carried out by filling in an online questionnaire using google form media which was analyzed qualitatively descriptively. The results showed that the three aspects of a teacher's competencies profile in the digital learning era have been achieved in a good category so that they can meet the criteria for teacher's competencies profile as expected. Even though it has reached the good category, there are two sub-aspects with supporting items that need further efforts to improve teacher competence through professional development or similar teacher training, namely DCPD-3 and DCPD-4.Keywords: Teacher, competencies, professional engagement, digital resources

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has had a significant impact on all community activities, one of which is the change in communication patterns that have been using face-to-face activities now switch to using technology devices to communicate remotely, so this has encouraged fixed broadband internet service providers to compete to provide excellent quality service to their customers. . The purpose of this study is to provide appropriate recommendations regarding business strategies that fixed broadband internet service companies can implement through analysis of the IFE-EFE-IE matrix. The research design used is quantitative through respondent data collection (survey) of 55 people who use fixed broadband internet services calculated using the Expert Choice application version 11. The data obtained were analyzed using the Internal Factor Evaluation (IFE) matrix, External Factor Evaluation Matrix ( EFE), and the Internal-External (IE) matrix. The study results suggest that the business strategies for fixed broadband internet service companies that can be implemented are market penetration strategies and product development strategies. Keywords: Strategy, fixed broadband, IFE, EFE, IE

Abstract

Learning achievement is influenced by many factors, such as teaching methods, the means and facilities available, the environment and student motivation to learn. One of the problems found in the school was weak student motivation for learning. Which in the end has an impact on the perception of students in achieving good results. The purpose of this research is to know if there is any correlation between the students’ learning motivation and students’ perception of learning achievement and what is the correlation of the students’ learning motivation and students’ perception of learning achievement. This research used a quantitative approach with a sample size of 30 students. Data were collected using a questionnaire. The validity of this instrument construction was obtained from three expert judgments. The empirical validity of this instrument was calculated by the formula of Rank Spearman. The variables concerning student learning motivation consisted of 18 items and the variables indicating student perception of learning achievement consisted of 8 items. Reliability is measured with Cronbach Alpha. The Alpha value obtained for the variables of student learning motivation was 0.865 and the Alpha value of the variable students’ perception of learning achievement is 0.781. Data were analyzed using the Spearman rank correlation (Rho-Spearman) and significance test connection with the distribution of t test at a significance level of 5%. The results of this research showed a significant positive correlation between students’ learning motivation and student perception of learning achievement (r = 0.612, sig= 0,000. That means that the higher the student learning motivation the stronger the student perception of learning achievement.BAHASA INDONESIA ABSTRAK: Prestasi belajar dipengaruhi banyak faktor, misalnya metode guru dalam mengajar, sarana dan fasilitas yang tersedia, lingkungan dan motivasi siswa dalam belajar. Salah satu masalah yang ditemukan di sekolah adalah lemahnya motivasi belajar yang dimiliki siswa yang akhirnya berdampak kepada persepsi siswa dalam berprestasi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui adakah hubungan motivasi belajar siswa dengan persepsi siswa dalam berprestasi  dan bagaimanakah hubungan motivasi belajar siswa dengan persepsi siswa dalam berprestasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 30 siswa. Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan kuesioner. Validitas konstruksi instrumen diperoleh dari 3 expert judgment (ahli). Validitas empirik instrumen dihitung dengan rumus Rank Spearman, variabel motivasi belajar siswa terdiri dari 18 item dan variabel persepsi siswa dalam berprestasi terdiri dari 8 item. Reliabilitas diukur dengan Alpha Cronbach, diperoleh nilai Alpha variabel  motivasi belajar siswa adalah 0,865 dan nilai Alpha variabel persepsi siswa dalam berprestasi adalah 0,781. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan korelasi peringkat spearman (Rho-Spearman) dan uji signifikansi hubungan dengan uji distribusi t pada taraf signifikansi 5%. Hasil analisis ini menunjukkan adanya hubungan yang positif signifikan antara motivasi belajar siswa dengan persepsi siswa dalam berprestasi (r = 0,612, sig = 0,000. Artinya semakin baik atau tinggi motivasi belajar siswa maka akan semakin besar dan kuat juga persepsi siswa untuk meraih prestasi.

Abstract

This paper discusses the role and work of the Holy Spirit and its implications for the personal development and the quality of teaching of Christian teachers in this era of globalization. The main task of a teacher in the context of Christian education is to help students to learn and know God in Jesus Christ and through His Word, and how they can develop and be like Christ in their daily lives. Therefore, it is important to understand the role and work of the Holy Spirit as the Spirit of Wisdom to help the Christian teacher distinguish between the real truth and the truth that is mere humanism. Thus, the teaching delivered by Christian teachers will not influence the students to do negative things after the class or course is finished, but will have a positive influence on the students’ spiritual development, character, intelligence, and behavior.BAHASA INDONESIA ABSTRAK: Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk membahas peran dan karya Roh Kudus serta impilikasinya terhadap pengembangan pribadi dan kualitas pengajaran guru Kristen di era globalisasi. Tugas utama seorang guru dalam konteks pendidikan Kristen adalah membantu para siswa untuk belajar mengenal Allah di dalam Yesus Kristus dan melalui firman-Nya tersebut, mereka dapat bertumbuh dan menjadi serupa dengan Kristus dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Oleh sebab itu, penting sekali peran dan karya Roh Kudus sebagai Roh Hikmat untuk membantu guru Kristen membedakan antara kebenaran sejati dan kebenaran yang bersifat humanisme belaka. Dengan demikian, pengajaran yang disampaikan oleh guru Kristen tersebut tidak akan membawa para siswanya ke dalam hal-hal yang bersifat negatif pasca pengajaran, tetapi memberikan pengaruh positif terhadap perkembangan spiritual, karakter, intelegensi, dan perilaku mereka.

Abstract

Based on observations, the researcher found that letter recognition for K3 students at ABC school Manado in their Bahasa Indonesia lessons was low. Students' understanding of letters had not reached the 75% standard assessment given by the teacher. To overcome the problem, the researcher implemented the use of pictures as a media to increase K3 students’ letter recognition. The method used in this research was Classroom Action Research (CAR) using Kemmis and McTaggart model through two cycles. The research was conducted between October 4 and November 3, 2017, using 18 students. The research instruments used to collect the data were the researcher’s observation checklist, the mentor’s observation checklist, another teacher’s observation checklist, students’ worksheets, and an interview with the mentor. Research findings indicated an increase of K3 students’ letter recognition in their Bahasa Indonesia lessons at ABC School Manado with the indicator of achievement of letter recognition reaching 100% and the indicator of letter sound recognition also reaching 100%. The steps of using the drawing media during learning were also consistently performed by showing 100% assessment results through observations by mentors and peers. Therefore, it can be concluded that the use of pictures as a media can increase K3 students’ letter recognition in Bahasa Indonesia lessons at ABC School Manado.BAHASA INDONESIA ABSTRAK: Berdasarkan hasil observasi ditemukan bahwa pengenalan huruf pada siswa K3 pada sekolah swasta di Manado pada mata pelajaran bahasa Indonesia masih rendah, yaitu ditunjukkan dengan pemahaman terhadap huruf belum mencapai angka 75% standar penilaian yang diberikan oleh guru. Adapun tujuan penelitian ini adalah menerapkan penggunaan media gambar untuk meningkatkan pengenalan huruf siswa K3. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) model Kemmis dan Taggart melalui dua siklus. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada tanggal 4 Oktober sampai dengan 3 November 2017 terhadap 18 siswa di Sekolah ABC Manado. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah lembar observasi ceklispeneliti, lembar ceklismentor, lembar observasi ceklisrekan sejawat, lembar kerja siswa, dan lembar wawancara mentor. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan pada pengenalan huruf siswa kelas K3-A Sekolah ABC Manado pada mata pelajaran bahasa Indonesia dengan pencapaian kriteria indikator mengenal huruf adalah 100%, indikator pengenalan bunyi huruf adalah 100%. Langkah-langkah penggunaan media gambar pada saat pembelajaran juga konsisten dilakukan dengan menunjukkan hasil penilaian 100% melalui observasi dari mentor dan rekan sejawat. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan media gambar dapat meningkatkan pengenalan huruf siswa K3-A di sekolah ABC Manado dalam mata pelajaran bahasa Indonesia.

Abstract

Based on observations of grade 8B students in a Christian junior high school in Kupang, it was found that students were not able to demonstrate the ability to cooperate in mathematics lessons. To overcome this, the researcher implemented a Team Quiz to assist students in developing their cooperative skills. This research used Kemmis & McTaggart’s model for Classroom Action Research (CAR). The research was done in two cycles. The instruments used were mentor’s and peer’s observations, student’s questionnaires, and tests. The findings showed that Team Quiz could help grade 8B students to improve their cooperation skills in mathematics subjects.BAHASA INDONESIA ABSTRAK: Berdasarkan hasil observasi pada siswa kelas VIII-B di salah satu SMP Kristen Kupang, ditemukan bahwa siswa belum mampu menunjukkan kemampuan kerja sama dalam pelajaran Matematika. Untuk mengatasi hal tersebut, peneliti menerapkan Team Quiz untuk membantu siswa dalam mengembangkan kemampuan kerja sama. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) model Kemmis dan Mc Taggart. PTK ini berlangsung dalam dua siklus. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah lembar observasi check-list mentor dan teman sejawat, lembar observasi rating scale mentor dan teman sejawat, lembar angket siswa, dan lembar wawancara mentor. Hasil Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) menunjukkan bahwa penerapan Team Quiz dapat meningkatkan kemampuan kerja sama antar siswa kelas VIII-B pada mata pelajaran Matematika.

Abstract

Critical thinking is one of the most important issues in education. However, based on field observation results it is found that students have low critical thinking skills. One reason is that learning activities in the classroom do not foster students’ critical thinking skills. The purpose of this research study to enhance students’ critical skills by implementing the Problem-based Learning (PBL) method. The research subjects were 29 grade 7 students in a junior high school in Manado. The research method used was Classroom Action Research (CAR), conducted from September 12 to November 3, 2017. The instruments used were diagnostic tests, pre-tests and post-tests, observation sheets, student interviews, checklists by observers and students, and the researcher’s reflection journal. Data results were analyzed using the descriptive qualitative method. The results showed that the implementation of the PBL method was able to enhance students’ critical thinking skills in learning math with the achievement percentage of students who passed the KKM for pre-test and post-test based on the overall data analysis result from cycle one to two showing an enhancement of 22% on the first indicator, 9% on the third indicator, and 2% on the fourth indicator. The second indicator showed no enhancement amd there was a decrease of 8% on the fifth indicator. Therefore, the PBL method is effective in enhancing students’ critical thinking skills through each stage of the method in the learning process.BAHASA INDONESIA ABSTRACT: Kemampuan berpikir kritis adalah salah satu hal terpenting dalam dunia pendidikan. Namun, berdasarkan observasi di lapangan ditemukan bahwa siswa memiliki keterampilan berpikir kritis yang rendah. Salah satu penyebabnya adalah aktivitas pembelajaran di kelas tidak melatih keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa. Adapun tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa menggunakan metode Problem-based Learning (PBL). Subyek penelitian adalah 29 siswa kelas VII di suatu SMP di Manado. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK), dilakukan dari September sampai dengan November 2017. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah diagnostic test, pre-test dan post-test, lembar observasi, wawancara siswa, checklistoleh pengamat dan siswa, dan jurnal refleksi peneliti. Analisis data hasil penelitian menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan metode PBL mampu meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa dalam pembelajaran matematika dengan peningkatan indikator satu sebesar 22%, indikator tiga sebesar 9%, dan indikator empat sebesar 2%. Adapun untuk indikator dua tidak mengalami peningkatan dan indikator lima mengalami penurunan sebesar 8%. Dengan demikian, metode PBL terbukti efektif meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa melalui setiap tahapan metode dalam proses pembelajaran.

Abstract

It is widely expected that Indonesian banking firms significantly improve their services to reach wider market segments, especially those residing in the 3T areas (terdepan, terluar, and terpencil or the outermost and most remote). However, in reality Indonesian banks only develop minimum outreach to societies in the 3T areas. Considering this issue, we develop and implement the SWOT analysis of financial technology policy in order to improve Indonesian banking services, especially in expanding their services to broader Indonesian societies. Also it is expected that banking industry’s stakeholders understand better the role of good banking management based on the fear of God and respecting others in managing their internal and external assets that encompass holistic banking activities. Therefore, this study aims to further analyze the influence of strength, weakness, opportunities, and threats (SWOT) of financial technology implementation on Indonesian banking service quality in the digital era through the study of banking literature.Abstrak Menyikapi realisasi era digital saat ini, kualitas layanan perbankan di Indonesia diharapkan semakin meningkat secara signifikan, agar mampu menjangkau seluruh lapisan masyarakat, khususnya bagi masyarakat yang tinggal di daerah 3T (Terdepan, Terluar, dan Terpencil). Namun, pada kenyataannya kualitas layanan perbankan di Indonesia saat ini masih minim dalam mengakses masyarakat yang tinggal di daerah 3T tersebut. Mencermati berbagai realita yang telah diuraikan di atas, maka melalui analisis SWOT implementasi kebijakan teknologi finansial ini, diharapkan kualitas layanan perbankan semakin dapat ditingkatkan dan dirasakan oleh seluruh lapisan masyarakat Indonesia secara riil dan para pelaku perbankan dapat memahami pengelolaan fungsi manajemen perbankan dengan tepat didasarkan pada sikap takut akan Tuhan dan menghargai sesama, dalam konteks pengelolaan aset internal maupun eksternal yang mencakup aktivitas perbankan secara holistik. Dengan demikian, tulisan ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis secara lebih mendalam mengenai kekuatan, kelemahan, peluang, dan ancaman (SWOT) implementasi teknologi finansial terhadap kualitas layanan perbankan Indonesia di era digital melalui studi literatur perbankan.

Abstract

Students are image and the crown of God's creation, which students have divine attributes in them. However, because of its fall into sin the God's image has broken on students. The effects of the fall are still visible today from the high number of crimes that occur in schools. The aim of writing this paper is to find out the importance of restoring God's image and likeness to the pupil’s throught teacher’s role. The research method of this paper is literature review through relevant literacy sources. The teacher guides students to develop their talents and respond their calling for always radiate the love of Christ because only Christ's redemptive work absolutely helps students to return God's images. Restoration needs to occur on the basis of Christian ethics that is in accordance with Bible values. The restoration of God's image is important for the students because they are the image and likeness of God who has fallen into sin. As a teacher who guides the students, we must show the right attitude in life and according to Christian ethics in order to guide students to restore the God' Will. Students can explore the attitude of teacher’s life who acts as guides.
