Abstract

The electrical properties of Al/n-GaSb Schottky diodes, doped with 1.4 × 1018 cm−3 (tellurium) were examined.  C-V (capacitance-voltage) measurements at 300 K show barrier heights of 0.63 eV, compared to 0.59 eV determined from room temperature I-V (current-voltage)  measurements. The voltage and frequency dependence on the capacitance is due to the ideality factor of the Schottky barrier and due to a high series resistance.  At low frequency the measured capacitance is dominated by the depletion capacitance of the Al/n-GaSb Schottky diode which is bias-dependent and frequency-dependent. The diode shows a strong temperature dependence of ideality factor from approximately 3.6 at room temperature to as high as 6.7 at 140 K.  There may be a small portion of the device nonideality attributable to generation-recombination currents due to deep levels in GaSb. The barrier height decreased from 0.57 eV to 0.35 eV for the sample annealed at 300oC for 1 minute.

Abstract

Separation of titanium dioxide (TiO2) from ilmenite Bangka has been done byleaching processusing HCl. Before the leaching process, ilmenite was roastedat 900oC for pre-oxidation (preliminary - oxidation). Leaching process carried out by variation of HCl concentration and Fe0reducing agents. While the re-deposition of dissolved Ti4 +ionachieved by hydrolysis - condensation using 2- propanol - H2O solvents.Leaching the pre-oxidazed ilmenite shows the phase change of  pseudobrokite (Fe2TiO5 ) into hematite ( Fe2O3) and synthetic rutile ( TiO2 ). Formation of the synthetic rutile was characterized by the loss of intensity of Fe2TiO5 at 26.65 º and the increasing intensity of rutile TiO2 at 27.49 º.The dissolution rate of both titanium and iron wasfound to be increased, generally, by increasing acid concentration in case of HCl as well as by increasing ilmenite:Fe0 ratio. Precipitation ofthe dissolved titania with 2-propanol -H2Oof 8:2(v /v) produced anataseTiO2 due to the hydrolysis and condensation of Ti-tetraisopropoxide complexes.

Abstract

Synthesis of titanium dioxide (TiO2) for dye sensitized solar cell (DSSC) with anthocyanins rosella (Hibisccus Sabdariffa) has succesfully been done using sol-gel technique. The semiconductor layer is a very important part of the DSSC since it gives a high surface area for dye absorption which gives rise to high currents. DSSC was formed structually two electrodes sandwiching the electrolyte. The working electrode is TiO2 layer coating on a Fluorine doped Tin Oxide (FTO) glass substrat and sensitified with anthocyanin dye. A counter electrode is carbon coating on the FTO. The fabricated solar cells have an area of 1.5 cm2, soaked in the anthocyanin dye for 24 hours and 48 hours. The sample was characteriz with X-ray diffraction method. The X-ray diffractogram indicates that the sample possesses rutile and anatase phase. The dye absorption measured using spektrofotometer UV-Visible Lambda 25 showed theabsorption occurs in the range 440-620 nm. The efficiencies of the solar cells measured by I-V meter Keithley for 24 and 48 hours soaking are 0.0064(6)%, and 0.0151(4)%, respectively.

Abstract

Abstract

Mapping leachate’s distribution using geoelectrical resistivity has been done at Plesungan village, Gondang Rejo, Karanganyar regency. Acquisition using Wenner-Schlumberger configuration with space of the smallest electrode is 15 meters away. This research using resistivitymeter OYO McOHM-EL for current injection and measure the potential difference. Inversion process using Res2dInv software for 2 dimensions model and RockWorks16 software for 3 dimensions model. The location of the research has geology old alluvium with characteristics conglomerate, sandstone, silt and clay. Leachate mapping estimated resistivity value <5.55 ohm meter with the direction away from the final disposal site where the main constituent of reseach sites is clay.

Abstract

Dye sensitized solar cell (DSSC) is the third generation of solar cells that currently developing by researchers to get the best performance. The selection of dye as a component of DSSC has a big influence in the light absorption process. In this study, DN-F01 organic dye was used as a sensitizer with various concentrations. The optical properties test was carried out on the DN-F01 dye solution by UV-Vis spectrophotometer (Shimadzu UV-1800) and the DSSC fabricated performance was tested by portable solar simulator (ORIEL Sol1A). From the results, the DN-F01 absorbance has ability to absorb light in the 300-500 nm wavelength range. The greatest efficiency value in this research is 2.44% obtained from the sample was immersed with the largest concentration of dye DN-F01 which has the smallest band gap energy of 2.38 eV.
