Abstract

The activity was carried out in Teluk Pambang Village, Bantan District, Bengkalis Regency. This activity is due to the local community's lack of awareness of the importance of managing and utilizing mangrove ecosystems that have ecological, social, and economic functions. The purpose of this activity is to provide a comprehensive understanding to the community about the importance of mangrove forest management and utilization to maintain environmental balance in coastal areas, the prospect of economically valuable mangrove ecotourism, providing knowledge of the importance of local wisdom values as a support for the attractiveness of mangrove ecotourism development, and the importance of forming a tourism awareness group as a form of active community contribution in utilizing the potential of sustainable community-based ecotourism. This activity's target is the community living in Teluk Pambang Village, especially the Mangrove Management Group and the Local Government. The implementation method starts with the survey and implementation in the field. This activity involved 12 Riau University students from various disciplines. The results obtained from this activity are the active participation of the community to participate in identifying potentials and ideas for developing Mangrove ecotourism and establishing partnerships with the Village Government and mangrove management groups in the context of community empowerment through the management and utilization of mangrove ecosystems as ecotourism based on local wisdom and creative economy in Teluk Pambang Village.

Abstract

The role of religiosity in suppressing crime and on changing adolescent behavior has been studied widely; however, studies on the influence of the preacher’s credibility and social media exposure are still limited. This study aims to examine the influence of the preacher’s credibility with the media exposure on the religiosity of adolescents in Pekanbaru. Even though similar studies have been done by other authors, this research has a different view and analysis. This research is based on cognitive theory as the Grand Theory and S-O-R Theory as the Middle Theory which explains the relationship between these three variables. Meanwhile, the Source Credibility Theory and the Hypodermic Needle Theory are applied theories that can explain the effect of the independent variables. This research was conducted on 96 moslem adolescent respondents in Pekanbaru who met certain criteria. Data were analyzed using a quantitative approach, using multiple linear regression analysis, in which each variable was also described descriptively. The results of this study prove that the credibility of preachers and social media exposure simultaneously have a significant influence on adolescent religiosity in Pekanbaru with a significance value of 0.00 (<0.05) the correlation coefficient result is 0,569. The variables of the preacher’s credibility and the preaching social media exposure contributed 32% in influencing the teenage religiosity variable. However, if it is examined partially, only the social media exposure variable of religious preaching has a direct effect on religiosity.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has had a major impact on MSME players, especially in the Bengkalis area. Bengkalis is an archipelago which is a strategic place to promote MSME products to other countries such as Malaysia and Singapore. The ability to use various applications and content creation for digital marketing is an obstacle for Bengkalis UMKM Community members. This is especially the case for the Baby boomers and Gen X people who were not familiar with communication technology such as smartphones at their young ages. Changes in consumers' purchasing patterns from offline to online provide challenges for MSME actors to master digital skills. Through community service, coaching and training were carried out for these business actors who become activity partners. The community service program aimed to provide knowledge and skills to Bengkalis MSME members to gain skills in digital marketing. This program was carried out through face-to-face and online meetings via zoom meetings so that participants can continue to be fostered for three months. Based on surveys to participants, it was found that this program increases the number of consumers on social media through the content they create during coaching. In addition, participants also managed to understand how to create good content to share on social media.

Abstract

Penelitian ini Cyber PR ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh Cyber PR terhadap citra PTS di Provinsi Riau. Sebanyak 8 PTS terfavorit di Provinsi Riau telah di survei terkait kegiatan Cyber PR di Website dan media sosial Facebook, Instagram dan Youtube, Public Relations (PR) Perguruan Tinggi Swasta (PTS). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif, dengan melakukan survei pada unit populasi berjumlah 66.935 dan 399 sampel yang terdiri dari mahasiswa PTS di Provinsi Riau, kemudian di analisis menggunakan teknik regresi linier sederhana dengan aplikasi SPSS 16.0. Hasil penelitian menjelaskan bahwa t hitung ≥ t tabel atau 17.246 ≥ 0,098 berarti terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara Cyber PR terhadap citra PTS di Provinsi Riau. Kemudian melalui uji koefisien korelasi sebesar 65,4 % yang membuktikan bahwa antar variabel memiliki hubungan yang kuat, dan ditemukan bahwa nilai determinasi (R Square) adalah sebesar 0,428 yang artinya pengaruh variabel Cyber PR (X)  terhadap citra perguruan tinggi swasta (Y) adalah sebesar 42,8%. Sehingga disimpulkan bahwa kegiatan  Cyber PR memiliki pengaruh cukup kuat terhadap citra PTS

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the communication model of the Peat Lestari CSR program and the Independent Community at PT KPI RU II, which is produced by Sungai Pakning. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach. The technique of determining the informant is purposive. Data collection techniques using interviews, observation and documentation. Data analysis techniques use the concept of Miles and Huberman. And data validation techniques use extended participation and triangulation. The results of the study show that the Peat Lestari and Mandiri Community CSR programs use the donuts communication model. This model is to provide a starting point for improving communication in CSR programs. This suggests that there is a positive potential among corporates from organized message management. With a participatory and persuasive communication approach, it can make communication flexible. So that there will be a match of perceptions. DCM is an upgrade from traditional or ordinary communication. This communication is able to realize an interactive process. The purpose of traditional or ordinary communication is that the convergence communication model (social media) is changed to an oral communication model.

Abstract

Technology of communication which has been progressed very rapidly is used by PT  Riau Andalan Pulp and Paper, an international companies. This company is prone to bad issues related to policies and environmental conditions, whereas in fact PT RAPP is based on the 5C principle that pioneered by Mr. Sukanto Tanoto as the company founder. The task of PT RAPP’s Digital Media Team is to present the company's operational activities through social media platforms, which are Twitter, Instagram and Facebook. The purpose of this study is to find out the systematic planning of Digital Media team and Social Media Managers, the potential of social media to improve the company’s image through the usage of social media and the impact of the 5C principles of PT.RAPP.               This study uses qualitative research method with an exploratory approach. The data which used on this study was ontained by  observation, interviews, and documentation. There are six informants in this study that chosen based on purposive technique. To check the validity, the  writer used a triangulation technique.               The results of this study are that PT RAPP's social media is useful in improving the image of company that has planning system which arranged by Digital Media Team and Social Media Manager. It's role are preparing contents for every week and month (content plan), monitoring and improving content performance (schedule monitoring), reading trends and predicting (benchmarking) and in practice there are other role as Anlyst Data. There are 3 potential things provided by PT RAPP's social media, which are: fast, near and real time. The impact of the 5C principle has been felt by the surrounding community (Good for community), the company tries to protect the environment in a sustainable manner (Good for Climate), Paper one is a product that has received certificates of national and international standards (Good for Customer) and the company is following the  regulations as a Responsible and Sustainable company (Good for Country), and all these impact at least give benefit for company (Good for Company). Keyword : Social Media, Image, Princip 5C

Abstract

Objek Wisata Tepian Mahligai merupakan salah satu objek wisata yang sering menjadi tujuan wisata pengunjung yang berasal dari Kabupaten Kampar maupun di luar Kabupaten Kampar. Objek Wisata Tepian Mahligai terletak di Kecamatan XIII Koto Kampar, yang artinya berada di batas wilayah Riau dan Sumatra Barat. Tepian Mahligai sendiri menyajikan berbagai panorama alam yang dapat memanjakan mata para pengunjungnya, seperti taman seribu bunga yang terdapat di Tepian Mahligai sendiri. Selain nuansa alam yang menyejukkan mata, akses menuju objek wisata Tepian Mahligai juga menjadi salah satu penunjang hadirnya pengunjung, akses yang sangat mudah ditempuh dan ditemui tentunya menjadi harapan semua pengunjung sebelum memutuskan pilihan untuk berwisata. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui strategi promosi Dinas Pariwisata & Kebudayaan Kabupaten Kampar dan Youtuber dalam merencanakan pesan dalam memperkenalkan objek wisata Tepian Mahligai, untuk mengetahui strategi promosi Dinas Pariwisata & Kebudayaan Kabupaten Kampar dan Youtuber dalam menentukan sasaran dalam memperkenalkan objek wisata Tepian Mahligai, serta untuk mengetahui kendala yang dihadapi Dinas Pariwisata & Kebudayaan Kabupaten Kampar dan Youtuber dengan menggunakan keindahan Tepian Mahligai sebagai strategi pembuatan pesan promosi. Adapun kendala yang menjadi pokok masalah pada Dinas dalam prmosi Tepian Mahligai adalah anggaran dinas yang terbatas serta terjadinya ketidakjelasan kontrak kerja dengan Dinas Pariwisata dan Kebudayaan Kabupaten Kampar

Abstract

Social media has become a very helpful platform for K-Popers in accessing all sources of information about their idols. This study aims to determine how much influence Twitter social media has on parasocial relationships and K-Popers trust in the opposite sex on followers of the @indomyfess account. This study uses a quantitative method using purposive sampling technique and using the Slovin formula which obtains a total sample of 400 from 224 thousand population of Twitter followers @indomyfess. The data collection technique used questionnaires distributed online with the help of Google Forms. The data analysis technique in this study uses path analysis with a coefficient of determination. In processing the data, researchers used SPSS version 28. The results showed (1) there was a significant influence between Twitter social media on parasocial relationships with a significance of 0.001 < 0.05, (2) that there was a significant influence between Twitter social media on the level of K-popers trust with a significance value of 0.005 < 0.05, and (3) there is no significant influence between Twitter social media through parasocial relationships on the level of trust of K-popers to the opposite sex. Abstract

Jseven Coffee Pekanbaru uses marketing communication techniques by way of Word of Mouth, where this communication technique is considered the most appropriate and effective to be used as promotional media. The reason is because word of mouth communication is considered more convincing based on information on a product because the source is satisfied with the quality of the product and also this technique is considered to be easier and right on target than other types of promotion. Satisfied consumers will of course disseminate this information to other consumers, so that this benefits JSeven Coffee Pekanbaru and also for potential customers. The purpose of this study was to find out how much influence Word Of Mouth has on the purchasing decisions of Jseven Coffee Pekanbaru customers. The theory used in this study is the Stimulus Response theory. The research method used in this study is a quantitative research method, with data collection techniques, namely, distributing questionnaires directly to visitors of Jseven Coffee Pekanbaru with a sample size of 100 respondents determined through the Accidental Sampling technique. The data analysis technique in this study used a simple linear regression analysis technique. The results of this study indicate that the value of the regression coefficient in this study is Y = 2.108 + 279 (X). The constant number (a) is 2.108 and the coefficient of the variable X is 1.112. Meanwhile tcount (9.188) is greater than ttable (1.984). Based on the statistical calculations obtained, the hypothesis for this study is that Ha has a significant influence between the influence of Word Of Mouth (X) on the purchasing decision of Jseven Coffe Pekanbaru visitors (Y). So that means Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected. Based on the correlation interpretation guidelines, a correlation coefficient (r) of 0.291 is obtained, it means that the relationship between the Word Of Mouth variable and the purchasing decision of Jseven Coffee Pekanbaru visitors is in the weak category. Furthermore, the value of the coefficient of determination (Rsquare) is 0.85. This means that it can be explained that the purchasing decisions of Jseven Coffee Pekanbaru customers are influenced by word of mouth while the rest are influenced by other variables not examined in this study.

Abstract

The current Zoom application is not only a complement to the learning process, but has transformed into the best solution so that it can be said to be one of the needs for achieving effective learning during a pandemic like today. One of the academic activities of users of the Zoom Application is the University of Riau's Communication Studies Students Batch 2018, 2019, and 2020 who activelyuse the Zoom Application. According to CMC (Computer Mediated Communication) Theory, the CMC pattern allows a person to communicate using computer-based communication tools or gadgets supported by internet devices and applications that allow us to carry out various activities virtually such as discussing, reading, watching and accessing required sites. The method used in this research is to use quantitative research methods, and the type of research approach used is descriptive research. The data collection technique is an online questionnaire for Communication Studies Students at the University of Riau class, 2018, 2019 and 2020 as a research population with a total of 609 students and a sample of 85 students obtained through the slovin formula which is determined by purposive sampling technique and tested through the help of the SPSS application . The results of the research hypothesis using the "t test" the effect of communication effectiveness on learning achievement is 13.789 > 1.986. It is proven that tcount > ttable with a significance level of 5% with dk = n-2, then Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. Shows that there is a significant influence between the effectiveness of communication on learning achievement in Communication Studies Students at the University of Riau during the Covid-19 pandemic. From the calculation results it can be concluded that there is an influence of X on Y by 68% with a fairly strong category. The results of the research on the effectiveness of communication using the Zoom application can be seen from 6 indicators according to Hardjana, namely indicators of receiver or user, message (content), time (timing), communication media (media), message (format), message source (source)
