Abstract

Desa wisata merupakan salah satu atraksi wisata yang dapat dikembangkan serta memberikan kontribusi yang positif bagi masyarakat. Dalam membangun desa wisata hal yang penting ialah sebuah komitmen antara pemerintah serta aparat desa, tokoh masyarakat dan organisasi desa untuk menjadikan desa sebagai desa wisata. Berdasarkan hasil kajian potensi pengembangan desa wisata Kecamatan Pagerageung Tasikmalaya Dinas Pariwisata dan Kebudayaan Provinsi Jawa Barat masih perlu peningkatan pengetahuan sumber daya manusia, maka diperlukannya peran akademisi untuk memberikan literasi desa wisata pada masayarakat desa di Pagerageung. Artikel ini menjelaskan tentang program pengabdian kepada masyarakat melalui pengembangan desa binaan berbasis kemitraan di Kecamatan Pagerageung Tasikmalaya. Metode yang digunakan adalah survey awal, pelatihan, pendampingan, monitoring dan evaluasi. Survey awal yang dilakukan berfokus pada potensi desa wisata, pemahaman desa wisata di masyarakat, serta masalah yang ada di masyarakat dalam membangun desa wisata. Survey awal dikaji untuk memberikan pelatihan dan pendampingan sesuai dengan kebutuhan masyarakat dalam pengelolaan desa wisata. Dengan metode tersebut diharapkan dapat turut membantu mengembangkan desa wisata dan menyelesaikan masalah yang ada di masyarakat dalam mengelola desa wisata, selain itu artikel ini juga menjelaskan pentingnya literasi desa wisata untuk masyarakat sebagai pemegang peran penting dalam mengembangkan desa wisata.

Abstract

This research aims to find out if work motivation (x) affects the performance of employees (y) sales people at Harris Hotel & Conventions Kelapa Gading. This research includes quantitative research using validity tests, reliability, classic assumption tests, simple linear regression and determination coefficient tests. The sample in this study amounted to 30 respondents with saturated sample techniques, which is the technique of sampling when all members of the population are relatively small, fewer than 30 people or studies who want to generalize with very small mistakes. Another term of saturated sample is census, where all members of the population are sampled. The data collection techniques used are observation methods and questionnaires. The results of the study that Work Motivation had a significant effect supported by the dimensions of Physical Needs and Self-Actualization Needs that had a significant influence on the Performance of The Maid with a simple linear regression equation value of Y = 3,196 + 0.226 . The advice given to the company is to conduct a briefing to the sales people of Harris Hotel & Conventions Kelapa Gading in developing work motivation and maintaining and improving the performance of the work that has been given.

Abstract

The online learning process is considered a new challenge in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0, especially in the midst of a pandemic like today. This is related to the current condition of Indonesia in the midst of the Covid-19 virus outbreak where students are required to study at home. Digital-based learning models have been massively maximized in almost all of Indonesia during the pandemic. The purpose of this research is to analyze the digital-based learning model due to the COVID-19 pandemic in the online class of the Tourism Vocational School in Bandung Raya. The research method used is quantitative with descriptive study analysis of data in the form of a questionnaire. The results of the study are expected to be able to answer the problems of this research which includes the implementation of online learning during the Covid-19 virus pandemic.

Abstract

Hotel system learning at the secondary and higher education levels in Indonesia is currently still using manual systems, which is not suitable for the current digital technological development used by the hotel industry. Background Problems: Some of the current hotel information system learning simulation software that has been developed tend to be too expensive and unaffordable for educational institutions in Indonesia. Novelty: The purpose of developing this application is to be used in the world of tourism and hospitality education in Indonesia. Research Methods: Research and Development approach we use to develop this application. Finding/Results: This study develops a hotel information system learning application called TE Hotel Simulator that uses a role-playing system for its users. The existing roles are as a reservation officer, front office clerk, and housekeeping officer. This application works with the Android operating system that can be accessed using a mobile phone or tablet. This application is supported by a backend system through the website www.tesim.id. Conclusion: TE Hotel Simulator is still in beta version and should be developed into a more interactive application so the learning process could gain more experience for students

Abstract

Online learning during this Covid-19 Pandemic faces various obstacles, the lack of supporting internet network facilities in each area, and the lack of teaching materials, especially in digital modules, it gives teachers more assignments than providing learning materials in class. This phenomenon must be addressed immediately by creating an Android-based digital module that was used during classroom learning. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) using the ADDIE (Analyze – Design – Development – Implementation – Evaluation) model. This Android-Based Interactive E-Module learning media can be used offline, designed and developed using software to convert word files into ePub extension files. This media consists of concept maps, material descriptions, learning videos, and interactive quizzes packed all in one form, hoping that students can be more active in the learning process in class. This discovery is expected to answer the goals of this research, which include creating digital e-modules in the front office learning at tourism schools

Abstract

Social media marketing in Instagram provides an opportunity for consumers to interact better with the hotel industry, it also has greater cost effectiveness, in addition to the application, more and more unique features are emerging, making it easier for marketers to be as creative as possible. The emergence of Instagram with unique features that can be accessed around the world encourages the hotel industry to use it to market products and provides opportunities for consumers to interact better with companies so that they have higher effectiveness. The purpose of this study is to explore the reasons for the hospitality industry to use Instagram as a marketing medium as well as topics that are often researched in previous journals regarding the application of Instagram as social media marketing in the hospitality industry. The method used is qualitative with a systematic literature review approach to find relevant theories on this topic and then identified, assessed, and synthesized according to a predetermined explicit method so that the SLR approach provides clarity, transparency and impartiality as well as inclusive coverage in certain areas. The result of this research is that hotels use Instagram social media as their marketing because Instagram has many features such as hashtags and stories that can reach a broad audience. In addition, posting in image format also has a big impact on customer decisions. However, this is not the full power of Instagram marketing. On the other hand, earlier research mostly discuss aouut the application of social media marketing in hotels.

Abstract

Pandemi Covid-19 berdampak mendorong para pelaku usaha pariwisata untuk menerapkan protokol kesehatan dalam pencegahan penyebaran Covid-19. Penyesuaian pelayanan prima dalam industri pariwisata sangat dibutuhkan di era new normal. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk merancang upaya peningkatan kapasitas pelayanan prima di era new normal dan implementasinya. Untuk menunjang tujuan tersebut, maka tujuan lainnya yaitu mengidentifikasi persepsi guru sekolah menengah kejuruan. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilakukan di SMKN 2 Pangandaran menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode action research. Tahapan kegiatan ini mencakup persiapan, inisiasi, implementasi, dan sosialisasi program. Hasil kegiatan focus group discussion dengan guru-guru sekolah menengah kejuruan menunjukan bahwa persepsi guru sekolah menengah kejuruan mendukung dalam penyusunan panduan pelayanan prima di era new normal, hal tersebut diindikasikan oleh terbatasnya bahan ajar yang sesuai dengan kondisi saat ini. Luaran dari kegiatan focus group discussion berupa media pembelajaran buku saku dan video tentang pelayanan prima di era new normal. Sosialisasi program pengabdian dilakukan di SMKN 2 Pangandaran melalui simulasi sesuai jurusan yang ada yaitu perhotelan, tata boga, dan usaha perjalanan wisata.

Abstract

Permasalahan dan tantangan dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan mitra yang siap untuk bersaing dalam melayani wisatawan dapat dilakukan melalui interpretasi seni budaya.  Tujuan kajian ini adalah untuk mengetahui potensi seni budaya sebagai daya tarik wisata sehingga dapat menunjang dalam perancangan media interpretasinya. Kajian dilakukan selama enam bulan di Desa Lamajang dengan Pokdarwis Suryaloka sebagai mitranya. Pendekatan kegiatan menggunakan metode penyuluhan berupa transfer ilmua pengetahuan kepada mitra dan pendampingan. Data primer didapatkan melalui obervasi, focus group discussion, dan wawancara, sementara data sekunder didapatkan melalui beberapa dokumen penelitian terdahulu, situs web, dan dokumen kebijakan. Analisis data kualitatif deskriptif menjadi metode analisis pada kajian ini. Hasil kajian menemukan bahwa adanya warisan budaya takbenda dilamajang menjadi sumber bagi rancangan tata kehidupan Desa Lamajang. Empat tahapan dalam tata kehidupan Desa Lamajang meliputi tahapan kelahiran, anak-anak, remaja, dan dewasa. Setiap tahapan memiliki makna seni dan budaya yang unik dan bermakna bagi masyarakat Desa Lamajang. Interpretasi tata kehidupan Desa Lamajang melalui media visual berpeluang memberikan edukasi selain bagi wisatawan yang berkunjung maupun bagi masyarakat Desa Lamajang.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has affected several industries, one of which is the tourism industry such as hotels, restaurants, retailers and various tourist attractions in Indonesia being closed due to this pandemic. One of the affected tourist attractions is the Alamendah Tourism Village, which is located in Bandung Regency, West Java. This study aims to determine the marketing strategy as a recovery effort in the Alamendah Tourism Village during the COVID-19 pandemic. The marketing strategy carried out in this study is from the 7P aspect in the marketing mix, namely Product, Place, Promotion, Price, People, Physical Evidence, and Process. This study uses a qualitative approach with descriptive analysis methods, the resource persons in this study consisted of the managers of the Alamendah Tourism Village, the Bandung Regency Culture and Tourism Office and Tourists. The results of this study indicate that the marketing strategy carried out by the Alamendah Tourism Village before and during this pandemic had positive changes, which initially only depended on offline marketing to become online and added new tour packages, namely Virtual Tours.

Abstract

Employee performance is very important for a company to realize the company's goals. Without good performance, it is difficult for a company to achieve optimal results. Optimizing human resources is the main focus of the organization in improving performance. So it can be said that human resources are a key factor in obtaining good performance. Front Office employees must carry out their roles and functions properly because otherwise the operations of other departments will be disrupted. Front Office employees must always maintain their good performance. However, in practice, there are still many obstacles experienced by Front Office employees, one of which is the performance factor in discipline, communication, and accuracy at work. So to analyze these problems, the authors made direct observations, designed and made a list of questions related to research, and disseminated them to Front Office employees at the Sintuk Bintang Hotel. Furthermore, the authors conducted interviews with the Front Office Manager and also Personnel and conducted a literature study to find and use the theoretical foundations related to the problem under study. The result of this research is that discipline gets a bad score, while communication and discipline are still in the category of adequate assessment. From these results, it is hoped that the hotel management will be open to suggestions given by employees so that communication can develop and run well and conduct regular training to get good Front Office employee performance.
