Abstract

Small medium enterprises performance was determined by some factors such asproduction efficiency, marketing strategy, or financial adequacy. But, there is one factor which isimportant for SMEs performance, the enterpreneur itself specially its characteristics. This studyexamined the effects of individual personality, self-efficacy, and locus of control on small mediumenterprises performance in Banyumas. This study used the big five personality approach tomeasure individual characteristics which consists of openness to experience, conscientiousness,extrovertion, agreeableness, and neuroticism (OCEAN). This research used subjective perceptionto measure SMEs performance. This study used survey research design and respondents wereSMEs entrepreneurs located in Banyumas (N = 105). Result of the multiple regression analysisshowed that agreeableness and self-efficacy had a significant and positive effects on SMEsperformance. On the contrary, neuroticism had a significant and negative effect on self-efficacy.Other individual personalities (openness to experience, conscientiousness, and neuritcism) andlocus of control had no significant effect on SMEs performance. Abstract

The aims of the study are investigate and examine the effects of The Big Five Personalitytoward career success in thecontext of public sector organization. The scope of thisstudy is the entire of structural employeeson the tax office which is operating in Purwokerto, Cilacap, Purbalingga and Kebumen. The sample of data were taken from 188respondents. Proportionate stratifiedrandom sampling method was used to determine the respondents. Survey by questionnaire is applied in this study. The analysis tool in this study is regression analysis. Based on the results of hypothesis testing, there are four revelations: First, neuroticism has negative impact on subjective career success. Second, extroversion has positive effect on objective career success. Third, agreeableness has negative impact on objective and subjective career success. Fourth, openness to experience has negative impact on objective career success. The implication of this study is that personality is important in workplace because it can facilitate career. Organizations need to give special attention on the personality of employees including in recruitment process, training and employees development. Keywords: career, personality, the big five

Abstract

AbstractThis study examined the effects of effective design training, organizational support, supervisor support and self-efficacy on transfer of training effectiveness in public hospital in Banyumas. Respondents were nurses in five public hospital located in Banyumas (N = 346). Result of the multiple regression analysis showed that effective design and training retention had significant and positive effects on self-efficacy and transfer of training effectiveness. Besides that, self-efficacy itself had a significant and positive effects on transfer of training effectiveness. Other factors, organizational support and supervisor support had no significant effect on self-efficacy and transfer of training effectiveness. Implications for future research and practice are discussed.Keywords: training design, self-efficacy, transfer of trainingAbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh beberapa faktor yang menjadi anteseden keefektifan transfer pelatihan. Faktor anteseden tersebut adalah desain pelatihan efektif, dukungan organisasional, dukungan supervisor, dan self-efficacy. Penelitian dilakukan di lima rumah sakit umum daerah di wilayah Banyumas dan sekitarnya. Responden penelitian ini adalah perawat yang pernah mengikuti pelatihan (N = 346). Hasil analisis dengan menggunakan multiple regression analysis menunjukan bahwa desain pelatihan efektif, retensi pelatihan, dan self-efficacy memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap kefektifan transfer pelatihan. Selain itu, hasil penelitian juga menunjukan bahwa self-efficacy ditentukan oleh desain pelatihan efektif dan retensi pelatihan. Di sisi lain, dukungan organisasional dan dukungan supervisor tidak memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap self-efficacy dan kefektifan transfer pelatihan. Pembahasan dan saran untuk penelitian selanjutnya diuraikan di bagian akhir artikel. Kata kunci: desain pelatihan, self-efficacy, transfer pelatihan

Abstract

The aims of this research were to investigate the influence of proactive personality on perceived career success, proactive personality on internal as well as external networking behavior, the influence of internal as well as external networking behavior on perceived career success, and to investigate the role mediating of internal as well as external networking behavior on relationship between proactive personality and perceived career success. This research was conducted at PD BPR BKK Purbalingga. Target population of this research was all employees in centre office and branch office which comprise of 129 people. This research used survey method with simple random sampling as sampling technique. Based on the calculation with Slovin formula, the sample size was 98 respondents. Furthermore, the technique of data analysis applied in this study was multiple regressions. Based on the result of data analysis, it could be concluded that proactive personality had positive and significant influence to perceived career success. Proactive personality has positive and significant influence to internal as well as external networking behavior. Internal and external networking behavior had positive and significant influence to perceived career success. Furthermore, internal as well as external networking behavior partially mediated between the relationship of proactive personality and perceived career success.

Abstract

This study examined the mediating effects of organizational commitments on the relationship between job satisfaction and job performance. It also examined the effect of job satisfaction on organizational commitment, the effect of organizational commitment on job performance and the direct effect of job satisfaction on job performance.Respondents were the nurses of a private hospital located in Yogyakarta (N = 151). Using hierarchical regression analysis, there are three main findings. First, organizational commitment had no mediating effect on the relationship between job satisfaction and job performance. Second, job satisfaction had an effect to organizational commitment. Third, organizational commitment had no effect on job performance and job satisfaction had a direct effect on job performance. Implications for future research and practice are discussed.

Abstract

Monitoring and evaluation (monev) are important to analyze the achievement goal through many activities so corrective policies shoud be done immediately. This research evaluates the government performance of Pemalang regency using 117  indicators based on PP No.6/2008. Some data SKPD are displayed from 2005 until 2007. However, data used to compare indicator among regencies are only displayed in 2006.
