Abstract

The objective of this study was to find out the best practice and the factors influence the best practice of Sangkan Gunung rural tourism operator in Karangasem Regency, Bali. The research method employed was structured observation, documents analysis and in depth interview. The findings reveal that, green initiatives help to cut down the running cost and Sangkan Gunung rural tourism adopts the best practice that suit its operation and environment. The Pilot project in Sangkan Gunung rural tourism proposes to regard sustainability issues in the context of rural tourism product quality, integrating sustainability aspects into a running and well recognized rural tourism quality scheme. Abstract

Purpose: This research was conducted to know the implementation of corporate social responsibility activities at Grand Inna Kuta hotel, which is focused on the implementation corresponding to international regulation, national regulation, and local regulation concerning of corporate social responsibility (CSR). Research methods: By using descriptive qualitative method, this research describes CSR activities which refer to world tourism code of ethics, Indonesian republic government regulation, and local regulation which is the last in its relation with local culture i.e. Tri Hita Karana. Results and discussion: The result shows that there are 6 corporate social responsibility activities which conducted by Grand Inna Kuta namely; blood donor activity, beach cleaning activity, trees plant activity, tribute to the village, social assistance, and social assistance during Covid 19 pandemic. Conclusion: All the activities are a reflection of the local culture theory Tri Hita Karana which means harmonic relationship between human and God, human and human, and human and ecology.

Abstract

Abstract Purpose: The purpose of this research is to know the implementation of green tourism business scheme by the management of the Cau Belayu tourism village to be a sustainable and environmentally friendly tourist destination. Research methods: This research is using descriptive analysis research with qualitative description. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and related documentation. The selected informants are determined based on the criteria from the author. Data were analyzed using activities that occur simultaneously, namely data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions or verification. Results and discussion: The result shows that the development of tourism in Cau Belayu village is welcomed by the surrounding community because it is considered to have a positive impact on their lives and there are 10 green tourism business schemes which can be implemented in Cau Belayu tourism village to support a sustainability tourism village activities, namely compulsory, management and marketing, social involvement and communication, energy, water efficiency, purchasing, waste, travel, natural and cultural heritage, and innovation. Conclusion: The management of Cau Belayu tourism village is generally growing and developing well, but it is still not optimal because there are still several obstacles. The implementation of 10 green tourism business schemes in particular has not been fully implemented, however, the direction of the Cau Belayu tourism village management policy has led to green tourism business schemes.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to determine the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats of marketing communication in building brand image, to find out the marketing communication strategy that should be used by marketing communication departments in building brand image. Data collection methods used were observation, interviews, documentation and questionnaires. The analysis techniques used are qualitative descriptive analysis, quantitative descriptive analysis, Internal Factor Analysis Summary (IFAS) Matrix, External Factor Analysis Summary (EFAS) Matrix, Internal-External Matrix (IE), and SWOT Analysis. The results showed that there were internal and external factors that influence marketing communication conducted by the marketing communication department at The Westin Resort Nusa Dua, Bali. Based on the results of IFAS matrix analysis, the main strengths are good relations with all partners, the media, influencers, guests and also the community, while the main weaknesses are responding to complaints and providing solutions to trip advisor reviews, OTA reviews and also social media. Based on the results of the EFAS matrix analysis, it is known that the main opportunity is technological development while the minor threats faced are The Westin Resort Nusa Dua, Bali position in the competition and natural disasters such as volcanic eruptions, earthquakes, floods, etc. The results of the IE matrix research showed the company position in the Growth (Cell V). SWOT analysis produces 6 alternative marketing communication strategies that can be used in building brand image.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to develop a model for the use of information technology in Tourism Villages by mapping the use of information technology on all aspects of tourism villages based on the concept of green tourism that focuses on environmental preservation and community welfare. The method used in this research is an information research framework consisting of stages of literature review and environmental aspects, analysis, construct identification, model development, model evaluation, and model application methods. The results of the research are in the form of a model for the use of information technology in green tourism-based tourism villages along with the method of applying the model. This model consists of two connected constructs, namely the use of information technology and green tourism. The implementation of this model in tourist villages is explained in the method of applying the model which contains a mapping of information technology needs and implementation steps based on the classification of tourist villages, namely pioneering, developing, advanced and independent. This model can be used as a reference for tourism village managers in utilizing information technology according to their needs.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the level of receptionist service quality in increasing guest satisfaction at Hotel Yusro Jombang, East Java. The number of samples used was 60 respondents, with a purposive sampling data collection technique. The primary data collection method for service quality variables is using a questionnaire that has been tested for its validity and reliability. The analysis technique used is Customer Satisfaction Index, Servqual, and Importance Performance Analysis, presented in a Cartesian diagram. This study indicates that there is a negative, positive and neutral gap between guest perceptions and expectations. Customers are satisfied with the services provided because the value of the positive gap is more than the negative. The quality level of receptionist service in improving guest satisfaction at Hotel Yusro Jombang has been good, because the value of customer satisfaction index (CSI) of 90.22% is in the range of 81%-100%, meaning, in general, the guest satisfaction index at Hotel Yusro Jombang is on the "very satisfied" criteria. Next, based on the result of importance-performance analysis, each indicator's position in the cartesius diagram found an indicator that is a priority to be fixed, i.e., indicator in the A quadrant and an indicator that is an achievement to be maintained indicator which is in the B quadrant. As for indicators that are considered most satisfying by guests, they are X3 indicators, X5 indicators, and X10 indicators, each of them has a score of 0.04.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to determine the potential of Rawa Pening area which can be developed as a new nature-based tourism area in Central Java, Indonesia. The research method is qualitative research. This method of data collection during the Covid 19 pandemic used more secondary data than primary data. The interview method with resource persons through field survey method is carried out to complete the analysis of this research. The findings resulting from this research are on several potentials that can be developed, both physical and non-physical potentials. The results of this research are ideas and suggestions through the plan of design ideas or initial concepts in developing new nature-based tourist areas.

Abstract

Usaha keripik belut goreng berada pada Desa Pandak Gede, Kediri, Tabanan. Usaha ini menghasilkan produk berupa belut goreng tepung dan belut bumbu kesuna cekuh. Permasalahan yang dihadapi mitra yaitu keterbatasan alat produksi, kurangnya variasi produk mitra, pekerja belum menggunakan APD dan memperhatikan kebersihan, serta belum tertatanya proses produksi. Solusi permasalahan yaitu memberikan bantuan alat produksi, memberikan pemahaman mengenai pentingnya penggunaan APD, memberikan pelatihan dan pendampingan penambahan variasi produk keripik belut pedas dengan leveling, memperbaiki kemasan produk menggunakan sealer disertai label dan tanggal kadaluarsanya. Berdasarkan hasil evaluasi beberapa capaian telah tercapai yaitu peningkatan produksi dan penghematan waktu produksi sebanyak 50%, penambahan jenis produk baru, produk keripik telah dikemas dan menggunakan label.

Abstract

Purpose: This study was conducted to determine the application of advertising and telemarketing by a 4-star hotel located in Payangan, Gianyar, Bali, Indonesia and their effect on increasing room revenue. Research methods: Data collection techniques used are observation, interviews and documentation. The data analysis technique used is multiple regression analysis which aims to determine the magnitude of the influence of advertising and telemarketing to increase room revenue of the hotel, and processed with SPSS 25. Advertising carried out is in the form of print advertisements through brochures or flyers, newspapers, and magazines, electronic advertisements through the internet and social media, as well as special advertisements. Findings: Based on the results of SPSS 25 calculations on multiple determination analysis, it is known that the coefficient of determination is 66.6%, which means that the contribution of advertising (X1) and telemarketing (X2) variables is 66.6% to the rise and fall of room income at the hotel. While the remaining 33.4% is influenced by other factors not included in this study. Implication: Partially or simultaneously, the two independent variables have a positive effect on room income.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of implementation of Balinese cultural value named Tri Hita Karana in increasing room occupancy at Hilton Bali Resort located in Nusa Dua, Bali. Data collection technique used were by questionnaire, interview, and document study and data analysis method were mixed (quantitative and qualitative) methods, with a concurrent mixed method strategy, especially the concurrent triangulation. The results of this study indicate that Tri Hita Karana in this hotel has a 16.6% effect on increasing room occupancy. It means Tri Hita Karana has a positive and significant effect on increasing the room occupancy.
