Abstract

A total of 25% of 38 teacher in SMP Negeri 10 Semarang conducted a portfolio assessment. Observation results obtained attitudes and low process skills. Learning achievement of new motion system material is 44% complete Minimum Mastery Criteria (KKM) 75%. Alternative learning models used to overcome these problems are project-based learning (PjBL) with portfolio assessment. The purpose of this study was to analyze the completeness of attitude, science process skills, improvement of learning achievement, and differences in learning achievement of students in the material of the motion system with PjBL models using portfolio assessment. The design of this study was Pretest and posttest control group design. Completeness of attitudes, skills, learning achievements were analyzed by the proportion of one party. Improved learning achievement with the N gain test. Anava 1 way is used to see the difference between the two learning achievement scores of Experiment Groups 1, 2 and Control. Independent t-test is used to see Learning Achievement Levels for Experiments Groups 1 and 2. The results showed that: (1) the attitudes of the experimental class students reached completeness asan 63 (72.79) with a percentage of 81.26%; (2) the science process skills of the experimental class students reached completeness ≥ 63 (70.83) with a percentage of 90.63%; (3) Learning achievement results are stated to be completed individually with a value of ≥ 71 (mean 79.28) and classical with ≥ 80% (84.38%); Learning achievement in the motion system material with PjBL model using portfolio assessment increases with N-gain of 0.65 (moderate); (4) F count > F table (6,699> 3,094), so Ho is rejected, so there is significant differences between experimental class 1, experimental class 2, and control; (5) the value of t count < t table (1.165 <1.998) then Ho is accepted, which means that there is no significant difference between the experimental group 1 and experiment 2.

Abstract

Abstract

The objective of this study is to find out the effectiveness of group work strategy in maximizing the students' courage in delivering questions during the online classes. In particular, this study will examine theories on learning, online learning, group work, and courage in delivering questions as part of character building. The approach to be applied in this research is quantitative methods. The research design implemented in this study is classroom action research for 36 students of Class XII IPS 1 at SMAN 9 Semarang. The technique of collecting data uses observation techniques, interviews, and documentation studies. The results show that Learning with the group work can increase the courage of students to ask questions up to more than 75% which shows the effectivity of the strategy and the teacher's strategy in determining the persons involving in a group work plays a significant role in the success of group work and the motivation to deliver questions during the online classes.

Abstract

Background: The occurrence of ischemia causes a loss of energy to switch to anaerobic processes resulting in acidosis due to reduced Adenosina Triphosphate (ATP). This condition makes neuron cells apoptotic. Apoptotic of several biochemical substrates in the brain, such as Glial Fibrillary Acidic Protein (GFAP) exit into the circulatory system which is associated with dysbiosis through immunological pathways. Objectives: To determine the effect of giving enteral formula containing protein, phosphatidylcholine, phosphatidylserine, and inulin on GFAP levels in patients with acute ischemic stroke Dr. Kariadi Hospital.Materials and Methods: This study was done in a single-blind RCT. Eighteen ischemic stroke patients were randomly divided into intervention (9 subjects) and control groups (9 subjects). The intervention group received 69 g of the powdered enteral formula three times a day for seven days. The formula contained protein (15 g), phosphatidylcholine (128 mg),  phosphatidylserine (32 mg), and inulin (3 g). The subject who had diabetes mellitus received for 14 days at a dose of 34.5 g per day (7.5 g protein with additions 64mg phosphatidylcholine, 16mg phosphatidylserine, 1.5 g inulin). The control group received the standard enteral formula from the hospital, which contains (11.8 g protein without additions protein, phosphatidylcholine, phosphatidylserine, and inulin). GFAP levels by ELISA method (Enzyme-linked immunosorbent Assay) at pre and post-intervention.Results: There was a trend of decreasing GFAP levels before and after in the intervention group towards a better direction from 8.37±4.25 to 8.30±4.9 compared with the control group which experienced an increasing trend from 5.4±1.8 to 7.5±4. There was no significant difference in GFAP levels after intervention between groups (p = 0.7).Conclusions: The addition of protein, phosphatidylcholine, phosphatidylserine, and inulin had no significant effect on GFAP levels.

Abstract

Background: Many studies on pressure injury prevention bundles have been conducted outside the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). The bundles, which include multi interventions, have proven effective in reducing pressure ulcer incidents compared to a single intervention. However, the existing review studies on pressure injury prevention in ICUs still only investigate a single intervention rather than multi interventions. Only few reviews, to our knowledge, involves prevention bundle strategies in the ICU.Purpose: This study aims to review the effects of the pressure injury prevention bundles of care on the incidents of pressure injury in critically ill patients and the intervention measures of the care bundles. Methods: This review searched published articles from several databases, namely EBSCO, ScienceDirect, PubMed, ProQuest, Google Scholar, and Scopus from 2009 up to 2020. PRISMA flowchart was used to select relevant articles using several inclusion and exclusion criteria, resulting in 17 article from 50 eligible full-text articles for assessment. The included studies were assessed for their quality using Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI) critical appraisal tools. The synthesis was then conducted narratively. Results: As many as 17 studies, which mostly had good quality yet evidence level of II, were included in the analysis. The findings showed that the pressure injury prevention bundles of care decreased pressure injury incidents as many as 4.3%-36.2% in developed countries and 4.16%-21% in developing countries. Moreover, the bundles of care which significantly reduced the incidents of pressure injury consisted of 7 intervention measures, which were pressure injury risk assessment using Cubbin Jackson scale, skin assessment and care, repositioning, nutrition, education, support surface, and medical device care. Conclusion:The review concluded that the pressure injury prevention bundles of care in critically ill patients significantly reduced the incidents of pressure injury. The study recommends more studies with stronger evidence levels to carry out and utilize 7 intervention measures as a preventive standard of care in critically ill patients.
