Abstract

Shewhart X chart is widely used in statistical process control for monitoring variable data and has shown good performance in detecting large mean shift but less sensitive in detecting moderate to small process shift. X chart with variable sample size and sampling interval (VSSI X chart) is proposed to enhance the ability of detecting moderate to small process shift. The performance of VSSI X chart is compared with those of Shewhart X chart, VSS X chart (Variable Sample Size X chart) and VSI X chart (Variable Sampling Interval X chart). Performance of these control charts is presented in the form of ATS (Average Time to Signal) which is obtained from computer simulation and markov chain approach. The VSSI X chart shows better performance in detecting moderate mean shift. The simulation is then continued for VSSI X chart and VSS X chart with minimum sample size n 1=1 and n 1=2.

Abstract

The effectivity improvement of production facility in factory is not only on facility manitenance but also on human resources. Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) gives an optimal solution to effectivity improvement. A case study of TPM implementation have done in non sewing department of PT Kerta Rajasa Raya. Kerta Rajasa Raya. Kata kunci : TPM, MTTF, Autonomous Maintenance.

Abstract

A Modified Giffler and Thompson algorithm combined with dynamic slack time is used to allocate machines resources in dynamic nature. It was compared with a Real Time Order Promising (RTP) algorithm. The performance of modified Giffler and Thompson and RTP algorithms are measured by mean tardiness. The result shows that modified Giffler and Thompson algorithm combined with dynamic slack time provides significantly better result compared with RTP algorithm in terms of mean tardiness.

Abstract

This paper discusses the concept of studies an Available to Promise (ATP) system by looking beyond what traditionally highlighted in literature concerning Supply Chain. Advanced ATP systems are implemented in practice depends on the company's strategy. However, The performance measures of ATP system become very important and more complex in order to measure the efficiency and effectiveness of ATP system in a supply chain. This paper concludes seven factors influence ATP system in a supply chain.

Abstract

This paper discusses the application of Robust Hybrid Genetic Algorithm to solve a flow-shop scheduling problem. The proposed algorithm attempted to reach minimum makespan. PT. FSCM Manufacturing Indonesia Plant 4's case was used as a test case to evaluate the performance of the proposed algorithm. The proposed algorithm was compared to Ant Colony, Genetic-Tabu, Hybrid Genetic Algorithm, and the company's algorithm. We found that Robust Hybrid Genetic produces statistically better result than the company's, but the same as Ant Colony, Genetic-Tabu, and Hybrid Genetic. In addition, Robust Hybrid Genetic Algorithm required less computational time than Hybrid Genetic Algorithm
