Abstract

Indonesia as the world's major producer and supplier of rattan, but most of Indonesia's rattan production relies on natural rattan sources. The fact that natural rattan is generally harvested after the age of more than 4 years, is not proportional to harvesting at any time, and threatens the preservation of rattan, so research on rattan cultivation is important. This study focuses on the growth and absorption of Noko rattan seedlings varieties (Daemonorops sp.) in response of organic and inorganic fertilization. Research was conducted in the glass house of UNTAD, using factorial design of 2 (two) factors. Factor I consists of 2 (two) levels, namely: (B0) without bokashi, and (B1) bokashi 10 t / Ha. Factor II consists of 7 (seven) variations of Nitrogen and Phosphorus treatments. The results showed that the treatment of organic fertilizer and inorganic fertilizer had no significant effect on dry weight or nitrogen uptake (N) or N network. However treatment with bokashi showed a tendency of dry weight and alsoN uptake or N tissue higher than treatment without bokashi. In this study, treatment with bokashi added Urea fertilizer gives the best influence on the growth of Noko rattan seedlings.

Abstract

Effect of Frequency and Application of Abamectin Insecticides on Population Abundance and Attack Level of Leafminer Liriomyza, spp. (Diptera: Agromysidae) is one of the main pests on the Lembah Palu red onion, where this pest is relatively new in the Palu Valley. The aim of the study was to examine the effect of frequency and application of insecticides on population abundance, and the attack rate of L. chinensis (Diptera: Agromyzidae) on the Lembah Palu red onion plant under applied and unapplied insecticide. The treatment of abamectin insecticide was applied once a week with a concentration of 1 ml of formulation per liter of water, beginning at the age of 2 MST and ending at 7 MST. The results showed that there were 2 species of Liriomyza, spp associated with Palu valley red onion i.e. Liriomyza chinensis and Liriomyza sativae. This research found that the application of Abamectin insecticides significantly affected population development and the percentage of Liriomyza, spp. on the lembah Palu red onion.

Abstract

The purposes of this research the examine the effectiveness various concentrations neem leaf ekstract on the intensity of attack Liriomyza spp on shallot Lembah Palu variety . Field research was carried out in Guntarano Village, Tanantovea Subdistrict, Donggala Regency, Central Sulawesi. This research conducted from February to April 2016 .The experiment was done using Randomized Complete Block Design with three replications, consists of six treatments, i.e. P0 : control (without aplication neem leaf ekstract); P1: neem leaf ekstract 10 gr /litre; P2 : neem leaf ekstract 20 gr / litre; P3 : neem leaf ekstract 30 gr / litre; P4 : neem leaf ekstract 40 gr / litre; P5 : neem leaf ekstract 50 gr / litre. To find out the effect of threatment, the analysis of variance, and the real influence is continued with the standard Ī¬ = 0.05 BNT test. The results showed that use of seed and leaf extracts of neem plant can control Liriomyza spp attack, only 3,04 percent of attack rate and shallot Lembah Palu variety productivity is 3,02/area.

Abstract

Bakteri endofit memiliki kemampuan untuk hidup dan menginvasi jaringan tanaman serta mempunyai sifat antagonis terhadap patogen tanaman dengan berbagai mekanisme. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui mekanisme dan persentase daya penghambatan oleh isolat bakteri endofit asal padi lokal Kamba secara in vitro dalam mengendalikan penyakit bercak ungu pada tanaman bawang merah. Pelaksanaan penelitian bertempat di Laboratorium Mikrobiologi Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Alkhairaat Palu. Metode penelitian secara kualitatif dengan melakukan uji reaksi hipersensitivitas pada daun tembakau dan pengujian kemampuan isolat bakteri endofit dalam menghasilkan senyawa HCN. Secara kuantitatif dengan mengamati daya hambat dari isolat bakteri endofit terhadap cendawan pathogen uji. Penelitian menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap yang terdiri atas 4 perlakuan isolat bakteri endofit (RKGU4, RKGU7, RKGU8 dan RKGU15) dengan 3 ulangan. Dari hasil penelitian diperoleh 2 isolat bakteri endofit yang memiliki kemampuan terbaik dalam menghambat pertumbuhan koloni cendawan Alternaria porri yakni RKGU8 dan RKGU15. Selain itu kedua isolat tidak berpotensi sebagai patogen berdasarkan uji reaksi hipersensitivitas serta memiliki kemampuan dalam memproduksi senyawa HCN. Isolat bakteri endofit memiliki potensi untuk dikembangkan sebagai agens pengendali hayati yang ramah lingkungan.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the level of insecticide use and the intensity of pest leafminer fly attacks on local shallots in Palu in Guntarano Village. The research was conducted in Guntarano Village from April to July 2021. This study used a direct survey method using a structured questionnaire to obtain primary data by interviewing 10 respondent farmers. Respondents were selected based on their daily activities as local shallot farmers in Palu. Determination of respondents was carried out using a simple random sample method, while the observation of the percentage of Liriomyza sp pests was carried out at intervals of once every 7 days for 1 month. The results showed that the respondent farmers in cultivating shallots controlled herbivorous insects with the application of insecticides, with an interval of 1-3 times a week as many as 90% of respondent farmers had never participated in Integrated Pest Control (IPC) training activities. Farmers who used doses while the average percentage of Liriomyza, sp was the highest in the fourth week of 49.55%.

Abstract

Lahan kering yang pasif dan iklim yang cukup kering menjadi polemik pada petani Desa Sibedi, sehingga memanfaatkan lahan dengan tanaman yang mudah dibudidaya pada lahan kering dan memiliki manfaat ekonomi seperti tanaman sereh wangi merupakan jalan keluar bagi petani di Desa Sibedi. Tanaman sereh wangi memiliki banyak manfaat bagi kesehatan masyarakat, selain itu pengolahan tanaman sereh wangi dengan teknologi sederhana dapat meningkatkan perekonomian petani. Pengabdian pemanfaatan tanaman sereh wangi melalui pelatihan pembuatan sabun organik dan teh herbal ini bertujuan menambah pengetahuan, keterampilan dan kreatifitas petani dalam mengolah hasil pertanian yang berdampak pada peningkatan ekonomi petani di Desa Sibedi. Metode penelitian dimulai denga observasi, yang dilanjutkan dengan pelatihan yang dilakukan menggunakan metodeĀ  presentasi dan demonstrasi. Hasil pelatihan sabun organik dan teh herbal, memberikan informasi dan pengetahuan pemanfaatan Tanaman Sereh Wangi, serta transfer teknologi metode pembuatan sabun organik dan teh herbal dari Sereh Wangi kepada petani petani, dimana produk ini adalah produk yang mudah dibuat, bermanfaat bagi kesehatan, dan dapat dijual untuk meningkatkan ekonomi petani.
