Abstract

Public service advertisement is a message that offers a product or service addressed to the public through a media to increase the sensitivity of the community to the concern of sea turtles in this area whose habitat is very worrying about the activities that have been carried out by the mapak turtle sea turtle, fisheries and marine services in efforts to introduce and protect these turtles so that their habitats continue to be maintained properly by doing this design in order to attract the attention of the Lombok community and tourists. With the development of media technology is very large in Indonesia and outside Indonesia with the promotion of media as well as providing education to participate in developing. This certainly makes a change in the way to advertise the increase in the community of chilli turtles who are very concerned about the habitat of many Lombok people who are less informed or don't know. With the existence of this design as one of the results of developments that have become part of the lives of global society, the global community has exchanged information to raise the level of their knowledge. The design of this public service advertisement as one of the solutions to promote the breeding of sea turtles in Lombok and inform the public to start caring about sea turtles whose habitat is in Lombok is designed to use through this documentary film will greatly explain the things that happen to the sea turtles in Lombok assisted by the fisheries and maritime agency to provide data and participate as an activity that is about protecting sea turtles and marine biota in Lombok.

Abstract

This increasingly promising tourism growth is also utilized by the people of NTB, not only in the Mandalika area, NTB tourism has spread widely to remote villages, one of which is in the villages of Sesot, Pakuan, and Buun Sejati, West Lombok which are managed by Pokdarwis Gatari Mass. chaired by Hazudin Nur. The community must be able to compete to become a favorite tourist destination today that is able to attract as many tourists as possible and with this tourism awareness group, another challenge arises, namely, a characteristic that represents Pokdarwis Gatari Mass so that it can give a good impression of the goals, vision and mission achieved. So it takes an intense, quality, and continuous communication that can be used to overcome the challenges that arise. It can be concluded briefly that the logo is able to present as a promotional media for Pokdarwis.

Abstract

Proses penelusran makna dalam karya desain memiliki posisi penting, dalam memahami setiap massage yang disampaikan melalui sebuah karya. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dimulai dari pengumpulan data dan menghimoun instrumen penelitian meliputi menghimpun data, mereduksi data, menganalisa hingga menarik kesimpulan yang utuh terkait berbagai permasalah dalam konteks kajian yang dilakukan. Analisis ini menggunakan pendekatan ilmu semiotika yang dikembangkan Rolan Barthes sebagai kajian tanda dan petanda. Kajian pemaknaan dalam analisis ini terfokus pada kajian bahasa verbal dan bahasa visual. capaian lain yang ingin dianalisis dalam kajian ini ialah konsep pemaknaan pemaknaan tingkat pertama (denotasi) dan lapisan pemaknaan tingkat kedua (konotasi). Kajian semiotika menjadi pilihan analisis sikarenakan metode kajian semiotika masih relevan digunakan untuk menelusuri berbagai aspek sosial sebagai representasi pedesain terhadap dunia luar, yang bersentuhan langsung dengan dirinya maupun tanggapan-tanggapanya terhadap lingkungan sekitarnya.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe development of t-shirt design in this decade cannot be separated from how the development and cultural identity in which the design work is presented. Design exploration with a combination of locality values ​​has become an important issue for design products in several t-shirt outlets in Lombok, one of which is Gandrung Lombok. The concept of regional culture became the thematic for the Gandrung Lombok t-shirt design, in addition to other themes. The purpose of this study is focuse on exploring the value of tradition in the concept of Gandrung Lombok t-shirt design as a representation of local cultural values ​​reflected in t-shirt design works on the market. This research uses naturalistic qualitative research methods, by extracting data with natural settings that occur in the field. In this study, findings can befound in the form of Gandrung Lombok designers, who have a strong awareness of making local cultural identities the subject matter of their t-shirt design works in the market. There is an exploration of concepts and ideas in every existing t-shirt design. The exploration in question is changed in two patterns, namely deformation (addition) and stylization (reduction) of shape with a mix of pop colors. Some of the thematics in the design of the Gandrung Lombok t-shirt are, sasak flute blower, drum beleq, songket weaving motifs and mask craft designs. Overall, the elements and ideas for creating the Gandrung Lombok t-shirt design with the theme of tradition are rooted in local activities and culture, namely Lombok culture.

Abstract

The occurrence of dialogue between artists, works of art, and devotees, makes works of art become an important medium in a communication process. The communication process that occurs in the activity of interpreting works of art is called aesthetic communication. The term aesthetic communication is an option in the activity of interpreting the use of a work of art. Although a work of art is a personal expression of every artist, after the work is born, it will become a form that is ready to be enjoyed by the art public. To capture the value contained in existing works of art, the aesthetic communication process is very important, as we can see in I Wayan Pengsong's painting. One of the strengths of Pengsong's painting lies in his efforts to build and record various aspects of the culture on the island of Lombok as the subject matter of his work. The aesthetic communication process in Pengsong's painting is in the process of using the cultural and visual values ​​that exist in the artist's work, which is presented in a work. The process of meaning that exists in Pengsong's works is handed back to all appreciation in an effort to interpret and give meaning to these works, based on various aspects of the process of interpreting the works of art.

Abstract

Eksplorasi bentuk tulisan Arab dalam lukisan kaligrafi merupakan usaha menemukan sesuatu bentuk tulisan baru yang diekspresikan dalam lukisan kaligrafi Masbuchin tentu berbeda dengan tulisan klasik. Kebaruan bentuk tulisan ini berfokus pada tulisan kaligrafi Arab yang di ambil dalam Al-Qur’an dan di ekspresikan melalui lukisan. Ekspresi bentuk tulisan yang dicapai oleh seniman tentu sangat dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain yang dapat membentuk tulisan yang baru juga dalam lukisan. Bentuk tulisan Kaligrafi Arab oleh Masbuchin merupakan hasil eksplorasi dari  bentuk tulisan yang ada dalam Al-Qur’an disebut dengan tulisan klasik. Lalu diekspresikan dalam bentuk lukisan dengan gaya yang berbeda dari sebelumnya. penelitian ini berakar dari sebuah pertanyaan masalah yaitu faktor apa saja yang mendorong terjadinya eksplorasi bentuk tulisan dalam lukisan kaligrafi Masbuchin. Tulisan adalah faktor utama yang selalu dipersoalkan dalam dunia seni kaligrafi melalui seni lukis kaligrafi yang sedang berkembang di kalangan masyarakat saat ini. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan sudut pandang semiotika Pierce sebagai alat analisis. Adapun jenis metode yang digunakan yaitu metode observasi analisis berdasarkan prinsip yang berlaku pada umumnya yang dapat mengungkapkan hasil yang semestinya. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan beberapa faktor dalam penelitian, seperti faktor keindahan atau estetis dan faktor makna instrinsik yang terkandung pada ayat yang ada dalam Al-Qur’an, tentu sangat berdampak pada lain. Dampak dari faktor inilah yang membentuk sebuah bentuk baru yang diekspresikan oleh seniman dalam tulisan kaligrafi Arab yang ada pada lukisan kaligrafi Masbuchin.

Abstract

Doing a community service on workshop on the perspectives of Classroom Action Research (CAR) along with writing its proposal towards Islamic Senoir High School’s teachers is based on urgent necessity letting them develop their knowledge on CAR as well as their writing skills of CAR’s proposal. It is worthy that workshop program is considered as an effective imput for the teachers to do CAR as one the parts of those’s instructional responsibility in purpose of improving learning-teaching activities in his/her classroom. CAR must have been as an important problem-solver to make the classroom’s problem up by doing it that it would have yielded the potential methods to undertake an effective classroom’s activities. The methods used used is based on the solution offered, giving the perspectives on CAR along with traning the teachers to write its proposal. This community program suggests that workshop on Classroom Action research was favorably conducted. It was assessed through questionnaires to require the teachers’ perception on workshop activities, namely their perception on knowledge and understanding on the perspectives of CAR 2.9. Furthermore the teachers’ competency on proposal writing activities were assessed 2.8. the assessment was adapted on Likert’s scale (1-4).

Abstract

The existence of the GP Mandalika series logo design is very important to do to brand existing activities. In this paper, the author will specifically make a study of the meanings and signs implied in the GP Mandalika logo. This paper aims to make a study and analysis of the meanings and signs contained in the GP Mandalika series logo design. The type of research method used in this paper is qualitative research, with the analytical method using Charles Sander Peirce's semiotic triadic theory. In this theory there are three important points as a sub-study. Such as object, interpretant and representamen. These three points in Peirce's triadic theory are known as the semiosis process, which is also a study process in analyzing the meanings and signs of the GP Mandalika series logo design. Some of the results of the studies found in this study, are that there are several elements of visual communication design in the GP Mandalika series logo. The logo elements are in the form of monograms and wordmarks which are also a trademark for racing events at the Mandalika GP series. The monogram is an abstract form consisting of a mosaic of constituent letters in the abbreviation GP Mandalika. The wordmark on the GP Mandalika series logo uses the Arial typeface which has been modified in several parts. The combination of letters and the use of the right colors strengthens the identity of the logo. Overall, the design of the GP Madalika series logo can represent the cultural identity of Indonesia, especially Lombok and the competitive sport of racing through the shape of the existing logo. It is hoped that the existence and business of cultural branding and activities will continue to be carried out as an effort to preserve the locality values they have. Keywords: analysis, signs, GP Mandalika Series. AbstrakKeberadaan desain logo GP Mandalika series, sangat penting dilakukan untuk membranding kegiatan yang ada.  Pada tulisan ini, penulis akan secara khusus membuat kajian tentang makna dan tanda yang tersirat pada logo GP Mandalika. Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk membuat kajian dan analisis makna dan tanda yang terdapat pada desain logo GP Mandalika series. Jenis metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam tulisan ini ialah penelitian kualitatif, dengan metode analisis menggunakan teori triadik semiotik Charles Sander Peirce. Dalam teori ini terdapat tiga point penting sebagai subkajian. Seperti objek, interpretan dan representamen. Ketiga poin dalam teori triadik Peirce ini dikenal sebagai proses semiosis, yang sekaligus sebagai proses kajian dalam menganalisis makna dan tanda pada desain logo GP Mandalika series. Beberapa hasil kajian yang ditemukan dalam penelitian ini, ialah terdapat beberapa elemen desain komunikasi visual pada logo GP Mandalika series. Elemen logo tersebut berupa monogram dan wordmark yang sekaligus menjadi trademark event balap di GP Mandalika series. Monogram berupa bentuk abstrak yang terdiri mozaik huruf penyusun dalam singkatan GP Mandalika. Wordmark pada logo GP mandalika series menggunakan jenis huruf arial yang telah dimodifikasi pada beberapa bagian. Kombinasi bentuk huruf dan penggunaan warna yang tepat menguatkan identitas pada logo tersebut. Secara kesluruhan desain logo GP Madalika series dapat mewakili identitas budaya Indoneisa, khususya Lombok dan kompetitifnya olahraga balap melalui bentuk logo yang ada.
