ORIENTASI NILAI BUDAYA DANPOTENSI KONFLIK SOSIAL BATAK TOBAMUSLIM DAN KRISTEN DI SUMATERA UTARA(Studi Kasus Gajah Sakti Kabupaten Asahan)*Sakti RitongaIAIN Sumatera Utararitongasakti@ymail.comAbstractIn socio-cultural sense, cultural value orientation of Batak Toba people could be the media of social integration as well as potential in engendering social conflict. The meaning of Toba cultural value orientation in practical terms differs between those of Muslims and Christians. Migration process, cultural adaptation and Islam, each implys important roles in this regard. Yet, a long course of history, these processes tend to bring theme into two social groups competing with one another.This paper focuses on the analysis of cultural value orientation of Batak Toba and its relation to potential as well as social conflicts of Batak Toba community of Gajah Sakti of Asahan district, North Sumatra. The author found that the levels of Batak-value is lower among those Muslims of Toba compare to their Christians counterparts. It is based on the fact that the teaching of and their submission to Islam give rise a cultural conception of selection process at the level of conceptual and practical. Potential conflicts of Batak Toba than is higher to the other sub-tribes of Batak. The sources of conflict related to the struggle of realizing the value of culture, among others hamoraon, which is a source of perpetual conflict among Batak Toba.

Abstract

AbstrakPenelitian ini berfokus kepada habitus orang tua kelas buruh bangunan dalam memberikan pengetahuan pada anak di Desa Tembung Pasar VII Beringin Gang Singkong Kecamatan Percut Sei Tuan Kabupaten Deli Serdang. Dalam latar belakang penulisan ini di lihat dari kebiasaan anak buruh bangunan dalam berbicara pada orang tua dan temannya dengan perkataan yang kotor dan kasar serta tidak patuh terhadap aturan yang di berikan orang tua akan membawa anak tersebut tumbuh dan berkembang menjadi calon buruh bangunan selanjutnya. Objek penelitian ini di lakukan di Desa Tembung Pasar VII Beringin Gang Singkong Kecamatan Percut Sei Tuan Kabupaten Deli Serdang, Sumber data yang diperoleh dari orang tua yang bekerja sebagai buruh bangunan tersebut. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa habitus yang diberikan orang tua kelas buruh bangunan dalam pengasuhan anak menanamkan anak tentang aspek nilai-nilai sosial dalam kehidupan yaitu, nilai perubahan nasib, dan nilai kepatuhan. Nilai-nilai tersebut dipengaruhi oleh faktor pekerjaan orang tua kelas buruh bangunan. Kata Kunci : Habitus Orang Tua, Buruh Bangunan, Nilai-nilai Sosial Kehidupan.

Abstract

This study aims to find out how to prevent radicalism and terrorism through understanding multiculturalism education at Al-Hidayah Sei Mencirim Islamic Boarding School. As a theoretical basis in analyzing the problems in this qualitative research, theories about radicalism, terrorism and multicultural education are used, so that researchers are required to obtain data and information by conducting indepth interviews and observations. This research uses a qualitative approach that is descriptive. The informants in the study were Buya Ghazali who served as the leader of the Al-Hidayah Sei Mencirim Islamic Boarding School, Ummi Ksrtini Banurea and Ummi Putri who worked as teachers at the Al-Hidayah Sei Mencirim Islamic Boarding School. The data collection technique used by researchers is by conducting interviews, observation and documentation, using a phenomenological study approach, namely researchers trying to find meaning from the phenomenon of preventing radicalism and terrorism through understanding multiculturalism education at the Al-Hidayah Sei Mencirim Islamic Boarding School. School. The data analysis used in this research is descriptive analysis, which summarizes all the data that has been collected from the interviews. The results of this study indicate that multiculturalism education can prevent the development of radicalism and terrorism. With multiculturalism education, the students of Al-Hidayah Mencirim Islamic Boarding School can understand the importance of tolerance and mutual respect for differences according to Islamic law.
