Abstract

Translation has an important role in the dissemination of knowledge, religious teachings, and culture existing throughout the world. The ex-Regent of Bandung R.A.A. Wiranatakoesoema V gave contribution to Sundanese language with his translation work in the field of religion. He translated the works of E. Dinet and Sliman bin Ibrahim by using two writing models, namely combining modern European writing in the form of prose, in line with traditional Sundanese writing traditions, called dangding. His work was published in 1941 entitled Riwajat Kangdjeng Nabi Moehammad, peace be upon him. This book became an early historical literature of prophets printed using Latin and Arabic characters, and it contributed to the translation style in the Sundanese Land.

Abstract

Deradicalization of religion will run on an ongoing basis when the power of the state is actively involved in it. That involvement can be shaped at the same time planning the implementation of policies, programs and budgets. In addition, the deradicalization of religion tends to be effective in the group of the owner of a basic understanding of religious inclusive. However, the practice of deradicalization of religion in Jama'ah Tabliq, which incidentally exclusive and fundamentalist, sustained even likely to be effective with minimal intervention of state power. This study aimed to describe the problem by uncovering and explaining the program that has been implemented Jama'ah Tabliq movement in deradicalization on those who embrace religious radicalism; The doctrine of Jama'ah Tabliq movement that managed to lose the attitude of the radicalism followers; and success factors Jama'ah Tabliq movement in conducting deradicalization. The approach in analyzing is the theoretical framework of power relations and the construction theory of history. With using qualitative methods and techniques as well as the locus descriptive analytical research and case studies Tablighi Jamaat movement in Garut, Indonesia, and Yala, Thailand, this research shows that, the first, deradicalization Tablighi Jama'a religious in the main program in the da'wah movement emphasizing the missionary movement of peace; the second,  Jama'ah Tabliq doctrine, 1) the doctrine of ikromul Muslims, the honor and respect of every Muslim. 2) The doctrine or the doctrine of proselytizing and sermons. Jihad political set up and establish an Islamic State or seize political power of infidel countries is not mandatory, mandatory preached about the truth of Islam. 3) "four things that should not be done", namely the one discussed politics both inside and outside the country and discuss khilafiyah or differences of opinion in matters of religion; And third, the effectiveness and sustainability of the deradicalization of inter Jama'ah Tabliq are factors source of knowledge and practice everyday, the book "Fadhaiul Amal," which teaches the spirit and practice of peace.  Referring to the book Jama'ah Tabliq develop the message to the model maqomi, intiqoli, ta'lim wata'lum, infirodi, non-political, and amaliyah dizkr.

Abstract

Perkembangan Islam di dunia tidak hanya sebatas ranah akidah saja, tetapi juga pada ranah-ranah yang lain seperti ranah sosial, politik, ekonomi, dan pendidikan. Di Afrika, negara-negara yang menjadi basis Islam sejak zaman klasik hingga zaman modern diantaranya, Mesir, Sudan, Ethiopia (Afrika Timur), dan Maroko (Afrika Barat). Perkembangan Islam di berbagai bidang inilah yang menjadikan Islam sempurna dan mudah diterima di semua kalangan. Meskipun begitu seiring berjalannya waktu akibat dari pengaruh dari agama-agama lain seperti Kristen menyebabkan munculnya minoritas Muslim. Beberapa faktor yang menyebabkan terbentuknya minoritas muslim yaitu, tanah-tanah muslim di kuasai oleh pejaja, gerakan pindah agaman dari non muslim menjadi muslim, emigrasi muslim ke daerah-daerah yang penduduk muslimnya kecil. Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan mengkaji kehidupan sosial, politik, ekonomi dan kultural Muslim minoritas di kawasan Afrika Barat dan Afrika Timur. Adapun metode yang penulis gunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan penelitian library research (Studi Literature). Hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa paradigma ras dan kebudayaan menjadi permasalahan yang sangat krusial dan kaum muslimin umumnya senantiasa terjerumus pada simbol-simbol keagamaan sehingga kestabilan politik akan tetap sulit di capai. Kehidupan sosial-budaya masyarakat Minoritas Muslim di Afrika sering kali terjadi diskriminasi oleh pihak mayoritas. Keadaan ekonomi masyarakat Muslim minoritas di Afrika sebagian besar masyarakatnya bergantung pada pertanian. Keadaan kultural masyarakat minoritas Muslim di Afrika masih mempertahankan kepercayaan adat, melakukan ritual untuk leluhur.

Abstract

Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengisahkan hagiografi dari seorang pendiri Kesultanan Kadriah Pontianak bernama Sultan Syarif Abdurrahman al-Qadri. Adapun metode yang digunakan  adalah Pendekatan penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan folklore (tradisi lisan). Karena dalam folklor terkandung unsur-unsur budaya lisan, maka dalam hal ini diambil dua narasumber yang merupakan keturunan dari Sultan Syarif Abdurrahman al-Qadri, bernama Syarif Iskandar dan Syarif Ahmad. Adapun hasil dari pembahasan ini yaitu sebuah urban legend atau legenda masyarakat urban di daerah Kalimantan Barat mengungkap asal-usul nama Pontianak. Disebutkan jika nama Pontianak berasal dari kata Kuntilanak, sosok makhluk astral yang digambarkan berjenis kelamin perempuan dan berambut panjang. Syarif Abdurrahman terpaksa melepaskan tembakan meriam untuk mengusir hantu itu sekaligus menandakan di mana meriam itu jatuh, maka di sanalah wilayah kesultanannya didirikan. Sultan berhasil mengalahkan hantuk Kuntilanak tersebut dan mendirikan Kesultanan Pontianak. Tembakan meriam Sultan dan pengikutnya tersebut sampai saat ini sudah menjadi sebuah tradisi warga Pontianak, terutama dalam menyambut hari raya Idul Fitri dan dijadikan sebagai ajang perlombaan meriam karbit sehingga menjadi sebuah destinasi wisata warga lokal

Abstract

Shaykh Badruzzaman is a figure of great influence who teaches the Tijaniyah Order in Garut. Syaikh Badruzzaman's specialty or Karomah was already visible when he was born until the colonial period. His journey in studying which made Syaikh Badruzzaman explore knowledge from various teachers, so that he had rejected the teachings of the Tijaniyah order at first and even came to the leaders of the Tijaniyah order to discuss. This is interesting, where he initially rejected and finally accepted and even received an Ijazah and spread the Tijaniyah order in Garut. The purpose of this research is to find out that there is Karomah what is in Syaikhuna Badruzzaman that appears since he was born, then how his thoughts in accepting and developing the teachings of the Tijaniyah tarekat. In this research, the methods used are the stages of heuristics, criticism, interpretation and historical historiography. The results of this study show that Syaikh Badruzzaman has several Karomahs, among others, when he was born, a very large light beam appeared, when reciting the Al-Quran he always slept, but when asked, he could explain in detail and correctly, when the lights went out in the pesantren when the students were reciting the Koran, there was light from Syaikh Badruzzaman's body, and other karomahs. In the teachings of the Tijaniyah tariqah he refused, but after a while he changed without knowing why, then hesitated, then accepted it and came to Shaykh Ali bin Abdullah At-Thayyib and then spread it.

Abstract

This research focuses on a philological study aimed at unraveling and understanding the process of Walangsungsang's search for Islam, the main character in the manuscript "Lampahing Para Wali Kabeh." This manuscript holds significant historical and religious value in Javanese culture. The objective of this study is to analyze and interpret the philological context surrounding Walangsungsang's journey in comprehending Islam. The research methodology involves a critical analysis of the text of "Lampahing Para Wali Kabeh" and related historical sources. A philological approach is applied to comprehend Walangsungsang's role within the social, cultural, and religious context of the past. Textual and linguistic analyses are used to gain profound insights into the Islamic teachings presented in this manuscript. The findings reveal that Walangsungsang is a character on a quest for meaning and truth within Islam. His spiritual journey is reflected through the events he experiences and dialogues with the "Wali Kabeh" (The Enlightened Ones). The manuscript also portrays how Islamic teachings were conveyed within Javanese culture during that period. This philological study contributes to a deeper understanding of the process of Islam's adaptation and assimilation in Javanese society in the past. Additionally, this research provides insights into the role of literature in conveying religious messages and spiritual values to the present generation
