Abstract

[Title: Development of Student Worksheets based on Practicum with Direct Learning Models to Improve Students' Science Process Skills]. This research aims to develop student worksheets based on practicum with direct learning models that valid, practical and effective to improve students' science process skills. This research is a development study using 4D stages with the subject of 30 students of class X1 IPA1 MAPK Syeh Zainuddin Anjani. The developed student worksheet was validated by three competent validators using validation sheets. The practicalities of the worksheets developed were measured using student response questionnaires, while the effectiveness of worksheets was measured using an observation sheet of students' science process skills by two observers. Research data were analyzed descriptively and quantitatively. The results showed that the student worksheets with tissue culture material were quite valid (a score of 3.9), the students' responses after learning showed a high percentage with a very strong category (81%-100%), while the students' process skills improved at each meeting in the good category. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the student worksheets based on practicum with direct learning models were valid, practical, and effective to improve the students science process skills of MAPK Syeh Zainuddin Anjani.

Abstract

This is aimed todeterminethe effect of 2,4-D and BAP onshoot regeneration of peanut (Arachis hypogaea L.) Kelinci variety. This research was conducted in tissue culture laboratory of BBI-PPH Narmada. Competely randomized design (CDR) was applied on this rescarch which involved 2 factorial concentration of (0-4 mg/L) 2,4-D and (0-2 mg/L) BAP for both shoot regeneration on MS medium speed of the emerging shoots, number of shoots, theroots appear, and the amount ofroots. Statistical analysis showed that 2,4-D and BAP affect the speed of the emerging shoots, number of shoots, rootsand the number of days appear roots, and there is the effect of the combination of 2,4-D and BAP. Fastest emerging shoots obtained on MS medium with the addition of 2mg/LBAP with an average of 90.33days and the highest number of shoots contained on MS medium with the addition of 1mg/LBAP with an average of 4.33 shoots. While the earliest root formation was found on MS medium with the addition of 1mg/L2,4-D.

Abstract

The problem that happened in MTs NW Darussholihin Wassyakirin is creative thinking skill and cognitive learning result of student is still less satisfactory, proved by the value of MID semester under KKM (Criteria Completed Minimal). This is because the learning process is not effective because the use of methods or learning models that are not effective. The purpose of this research is to know the influence of CPS (Creative Problem Solving) model of creative thinking skill and students' cognitive learning outcomes. This type of research is quasi experimental research with pretest postest control group design research design. The instrument used in this research is the observation sheet of learning implementation (RPP), test of creative thinking skill and test of cognitive learning result of the students. Data collection techniques are observations and tests, while data analysis techniques are descriptive and t-test. The results showed that the data presentation of creative thinking skills of students in the experimental class is 85.33 with very high category while the result of cognitive learning posstest students get the average value in the experimental class that is 80.83 and the control class is 78.67. The result of study posttest showed that the average learning result of the students in the experimental class and the control class were 86 and 76. Based on the t-test analysis with separated variance formula with 5% significant, student learning result obtained tcount of 2,581 and ttable value of 2.048, means tcount is greater than ttable value (2.581 > 2.048) so that (Ho) is rejected (Ha) accepted. Based on these results can be concluded that the model of learning CPS (Creative Problem Solving) effect on student cognitive learning outcomes, and average creative thinking skills achieve high categories.

Abstract

The formulation the problem asked in this study is “is there any significant influence of cooperative TGT learning model towards students’ critical thinking ability?” Meanwhile, this research is aimed to know whether or not there is any significant influence of cooperative TGT learning model towards students’ critical thinking ability.  The type of the research in this study is experimental research in which the researcher uses nonequivalent control group design. The population of the study is the whole number of the VII grade students of SMPN SATAP 1 Wanasaba. The researcher takes the two classes as the sample of the study; those two classes are VIIA as the experimental group and the VIIB as the control group of the study. The result of data analysis in this study show the result that the result gained by the students before having the treatment is lower than students’ score after having the treatment. The result of t-calculation shows that the t-test is 0.678 and the value of t-table at the significance level 5% is 1.679. Based on the result of data analysis, it can be inferred that the t-test is higher than the value of t-table which means that the alternative hypothesis is accepted and the null hypothesis is rejected. Thus, the study concluded that there is any significant influence of cooperative TGT learning model towards students’ critical thinking ability.

Abstract

Implementation of biology learning in class VIIIB SMPN 3 Batukliang North 2016/2017 academic year experiencing problems caused by the learning process is not effective because of the use of ineffective learning model. The purpose of this research is to know the influence of learning model Reciprocal Teaching with Example Non Example Technique to activity and result of cognitive learning of student on subject matter of various system in human life of class VIIIB SMPN 3 Batukliang Utara. Instruments used in this research are observation sheets for student learning activities and tests for students' cognitive learning outcomes. The results showed that there was an increase in student learning activity, for the average of student learning activity in the control class of 2.9 which included in the category is quite active, while for the experimental class of 3.5 with the active category. The result of post-test of cognitive learning of students get the average value in the experimental class is 85.8 and the control class is 80. The t-test analysis at the significance level of 5% obtained tcount of 3.12 while the ttable value with dk = 54 of 2, 05. This means that the tcount is greater than the ttable value (3.12> 2.05). Thus it can be concluded that there is influence of learning model Reciprocal Teaching with Example Non Example Technique to student cognitive learning result.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of practicum based direct learning models on science process skills and students' critical thinking skills. This type of research is a quasi-experimental design with Pretest-posttest Control Group Design. Sampling technique using Cluster Random Sampling. The sample in this study were students of class XI IPA 4 as the experimental class and XI IPA 3 as the control class. The research instrument used in the form of learning implementation observation sheets, observation sheets of science process skills and tests of students' critical thinking skills. The data obtained were analyzed using t-test. The results of the data analysis show that the implementation of learning in both classes reaches very good categories. Data analysis of students 'science process skills shows that students' science process skills differ. Students' critical thinking ability in the experimental class using practicum based direct learning models is higher than the control class. The average students' critical thinking skills in the experimental class reached 73.5 and control class 58.6. Hypothesis test analysis using t-test is known that tcount is greater than ttable (3.45 > 2.04), therefore the hypothesis is accepted. Based on the results of these studies it can be concluded that the practicum based direct learning model influences students 'critical thinking skills and students' average process science skills reach good categories.

Abstract

ABSTRACT: In general, this study aims to determine the effect of concentration of NAA and Kinetin the number of shoots and roots in chrysanthemum plants in vitro. The explants were used chrysanthemum sterile. The background of this research is the growing demand for chrysanthemums from year to year as an ornamental and medicinal materials. The research is a scheme would experiment with completely randomized (CRD) with three replications. The medium used was MS medium with added plant growth regulators NAA at a concentration of (0-3) mg / L and the concentration of Kinetin (0-3) mg / L. The parameters in this study is the number of shoots and roots. Data were analyzed using ANOVA two-lane data obtained when normal and homogeneous, when the F test results were significantly different (significantly) conducted a further test by test Honestly Significant Difference (HSD) at the 5% significance level. Using the Kruskal-Wallis test if the data obtained is not normal and is not homogeneous, when the F test results were significantly different (significantly) conducted a further test with Mann-Whitney test at a significance level of 5% and using descriptive if the data obtained are not eligible to be tested parametric and non-parametric. Outcomes of this study are: (1) article published in the journal ISSN.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of practicum-based direct learning model on science process skills and students' critical thinking skills. This study is a quasi-experimental research with the Pretest-posttest Control Group Design. The sampling technique using Cluster Random Sampling. The sample in this study were students of class XI IPA 1 (18 students) as the experimental class and class XI IPA 2 (18 students) as the control class in AL-Hamzar High School Tembeng Putik. The research instruments used were learning implementation observation sheets, the science process skills observation sheets, and learning achievements tests. The data obtained were analyzed using the t test with the help of SPSS 16. The results of data analysis showed that the implementation of learning in the first meeting reached 81% and the second meeting 96% with a very good category. The students’ science process skills in both classes show that students' science process skills varies. The students’ critical thinking ability in the experimental class was higher than the control class. The results of pretest data analysis showed that students' critical thinking ability in the experimental class was 35.5 while the control class was 49.5. Students' critical thinking ability in post-test increased in the experimental class to 73.5 while the control class was 58.6. The results of the t-test show that tcount > ttable (3.45 > 2.04) so it can be concluded that the practicum-based direct learning model was affect toward students' science process skills and  critical thinking ability.

Abstract

Seiring dengan meningkatnya jumlah penduduk di suatu wilayah, akan mengakibatkan bertambahnya volume sampah. Pola konsumsi masyarakat ikut memberi kontribusi dalam peningkatan volume sampah yang semakin beragam. Sejauh ini penggelolaan sampah yang dilakukan oleh masyarakat di lingkungan RT 04 Pejeruk Bangket masih terbatas pada sistem pengumpulan sampah, pengangkutan sampah, dan pembuangan ke TPSA, sedangkan daya tampung TPSA semakin terbatas. Solusi untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut adalah dengan memberdayakan masyarakat dalam pengolahan sampah skala rumah tangga dengan metode komposting. Sasaran kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah ibu rumah  tangga dan pemuda di lingkungan RT 04 Pejeruk Bangket. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan menggunakan metode ceramah, diskusi dan demonstrasi. Pelaksanaan kegiatan dilaksanakan mulai bulan Desember 2019 ? Februari 2020. Pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian secara keseluruhan terlaksana dengan baik. Hal ini terlihat dari jumlah peserta pelatihan sebesar 85.07%, pengetahuan dan keterampilan peserta dalam menguasai materi sebesar 73.13%, dan respon peserta pelatihan 91.88%. Faktor pendukung kegiatan pengolahan sampah skala rumah tangga adanya dukungan dari Kepala Lingkungan, Ketua RT 04 dan antusiasme peserta pengabdian, sedangkan faktor penghambat kegiatan adalah sinergi antara masyarakat dengan pemerintah lokal belum optimal

The results showed that there was an increase in student learning activities, for an average student learning activity in the control class of 2.9 which was included in the quite active category, while for the experimental class by 3.5 with the active category. The results of students' cognitive learning post-test obtained an average value in the experimental class of 85.8 and a control class of 80. The t-test analysis at the significance level of 5% was obtained tcount of 3.12 while the value of ttable with dk = 54 of 2, 05. This means that the value of t is greater than the table value (3.12> 2.05).
