Abstract

This article aims to expalin identity construction of the Hatuhaha muslim community in Pelauw territory,one which use ritual as its main arena. Data on ma’atenu ritual was collected through of ma’atenuimplementation, and interviewing of informants in Pelauw.There are ritual partisans and ritual leaderswho use symbols in the ritual. The article relates the present ritual to their historical evens and the currentcondition of local community. This research concludes that (1) the ritual has been a useful and strategicmedia for identity construction, and (2) through the ritual implementationof ritual, the interpersonalolidarity of Pelauw poeple or Hatuhaha muslim community has been well-developed, it is knoum locallythe maningkamu relation.

Abstract

Relasi dialogis antara kebudayaan lokal atau adat dengan agama tidak dapat dipisahkan dari sejarah kelompok-kelompok masyarakat beragama di Indonesia sekarang. Artikel ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan bentuk dialog adat dan agama di kalangan KMH di Maluku Tengah sebagai upaya memahami pola-pola dialog adat dan agama secara khusus Islam di Indonesia. Tulisan ini dibangun dari hasil penelitian lapangan di Pulau Haruku Maluku Tengah tahun 2009, menggunakan paradikma penelitian kualitatif. Penelitian ini menemukan bahwa (1) telah terjadi relasi dialogis antara agama (Islam) dan budaya lokal (=adat) sejak Islam diterima sebagai “ideologi” baru kelompok-kelompok masyarakat di kepulauan Indonesia. (2) terdapat tiga model dialog antara adat dan agama yang dijumpai pada masyarakat Islam di Indoneisa, yakni model “dominasi” model “akomodasi” dan model “kontekstual”. --------------------------The dialog between local culture and religion cannot be separated with the history of religious communities in Indonesia. This article is aimed to describe a form of dialogue between local culture and religion among Muslims of Hatuhaha community in the Central Moluccas. It is particularly to understand forms of dialogue between local culture and religion, specifically Islam in Indonesia. This article is based on a field research in the Haruku island of Central Moluccas in 2009 by using qualitative method. It has been found that, firstly, there has a constructive dialogue between Islam as a religion and local culture since the religion was accepted as a “new ideology” within island communities in Indonesia. Secondly, there are three models of dialogue between the religion and local culture, i.e. “domination”, “accommodation”, and “contextual”.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This paper is a critical effort made to respond to the reality of what happened in Maluku related to the widespread development of capitalism. With reviews that uses narrative approach, then this article seeks to present issues related to the influence of capitalism and the hegemonic power (governmental) on the Maluku people who have an impact on the welfare and comfort of their lives, a small community. It must be recognized that this writing is still far from eligibility as a good writing. However, with the existing shortcomings we try to explain it, assisted by the use of the theory of the takeover secretly (the silent take over), Hertz and hegemony (Gramsci), so this article can explain about problems multiulturalisme as teriadi in Maluku. Abstract

The phenomenon of radicalism and religious extremism has strengthened in Indonesia in the last decade, even though Indonesia is known as a friendly and tolerant country. In fact, the religious education provided from elementary school to university has apparently not been able to build an inclusive religious perspective and attitude. It is assumed that religious education, including Christian Religious Education, which is taught is still oriented towards teaching a narrow doctrine so that many do not see diversity as an important context in the religious learning process. This article aims to promote inclusive religious education as the foundation of religious moderation in Indonesia. This study uses a qualitative approach, with the method of analyzing the results of previous studies related to the policy and implementation of religious education in Indonesia, as well as conducting observations and interviews regarding the practice of religious education in schools on a macro basis, and making comparisons with the results of available research. This study finds that a paradigm shift in religious education is needed, both at the level of policymakers and education implementers. This study offers an inclusive religious education paradigm, which is seen as being able to change the perspective and attitude of exclusive religion because it prioritizes mutual trust and respect for human equality. AbstrakFenomena radikalisme dan ekstrimisme agama semakin menguat di Indonesia pada dekade terakhir ini, padahal Indonesia dikenal sebagai negara yang ramah dan toleran. Bahkan, pendidikan agama yang diberikan sejak masa Sekolah Dasar hingga perguruan tinggi rupanya belum mampu membangun perspektif dan sikap beragama yang inklusif. Diasumsiskan bahwa pendidikan agama, termasuk Pendidikan Agama Kristen, yang diajarkan masih berorientasi pada pengajaran doktrin yang sempit, sehingga belum banyak melihat keberagaman sebagai salah satu konteks penting dalam proses pembelajaran agama. Artikel ini bertujuan mempromosikan pendidikan agama inklusif sebagai fondasi moderasi beragama di Indonesia. Kajian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, dengan metode analisis terhadap hasil kajian sebelumnya terkait kebijakan dan implementasi pendidikan agama di Indonesia, serta mengadakan pengamatan dan wawancara sehubungan dengan praktik pendidikan agama di sekolah secara makro, dan melakukan perbandingan dengan hasil-hasil penelitian yang tersedia.  Studi ini menemukan bahwa diperlukan perubahan paradigma pendidikan agama, baik pada level pengambil kebijakan maupun pelaksana pendidikan. Kajian ini menawarkan paradigma pendidikan agama inklusif, yang dipandang dapat mengubah perspektif dan sikap beragama eksklusif, karena mengutamakan sikap saling percaya dan penghargaan terhadap kesederajatan umat manusia.
