Abstract

The level of achievement of student learning does not occur by itself, but there are various factors that influence it such as, motivation, habits of study, students’ attitude toward the learning environment and the students’ perception toward the lecturers in the classes. The causality between those psychological factors toward the achievement of the students learning is very complicated to be investigated. Therefore, to accommodate the problem, a relevant statistical technique which enables the researcher to solve the problem is required. The statistical technique used is Structural Equation Modeling (SEM).Keyword: Structural Equation Modeling, achievement, psychological factors.Tinggi rendahnya pencapaian belajar mahasiswa bukanlah terjadi dengan sendirinya, melainkan ada berbagai faktor yang mempengaruhinya diantarannya adalah faktor motivasi, kebiasaan belajar, sikap mahasiswa terhadap lingkungan belajar serta persepsi mahasiswa terhadap dosen di kelas. Kausalitas antar faktor psikologis di atas terhadap prestasi belajar mahasiswa sangatlah rumit untuk diteliti. Oleh karenanya, untuk mengakomodasi permasalahan di atas, diperlukan teknik statistik yang relevan dan mampu memecahkan masalah tersebut melalui indikator-indikator faktor tersebut. Teknik statistik yang dimaksud adalah Model Persamaan Struktural (MPS).Kata kunci: Model Persamaan Struktural, prestasi, factor-faktor psikologis.
