Abstract

The purpose of implementing this PKM is to improve the understanding and skills of Chemistry Education lecturers and students in the use of e-learning through the Google Classroom application in chemistry learning. In addition, it is also to increase the number of lecturers who use Google Classroom. The training was conducted at the FKIP Tanjungpura University Hall. Participants consisted of lecturers and students from the 2019/2020 class. The  activity was divided into five sessions. The first session was preparation. The second session was the delivery of material about google classroom by Rody Putra Sartika, M.Pd, and Husna Amalya Melati, M.Sc. The third session was a demonstration of using the Google Classroom application as a learning media. The fourth session was mentoring. During this activity, the participants were allowed to ask questions about things they did not understand. The last session was an evaluation of the activity implementation. The training results concluded that the training went well and received a positive response from the participants. The knowledge and skills of participants have increased. The number of lecturers using Google Classroom increased from 20% to 47%. With the use of Google Classroom in chemistry learning, it is hoped that it will improve the quality of graduates from Chemistry Education Study Program

Abstract

Freedom to learn is the Ministry of Education and Culture's new policy. Freedom to learn is getting the attention of the community, especially teachers. The objective of this study was to describe the level of student approval towards this policy. To achieve the objective, survey research was conducted. A total of 42 students of the Chemistry Education Program who were taking the Chemistry Teaching and Learning Strategies Class were asked to fill out a questionnaire. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan tingkat kelayakan dan respon calon guru (mahasiswa) terhadap Chemistry Quartet Card (Chemqurca) pada materi sistem koloid di SMA Negeri 8 Pontianak. Bentuk penelitian adalah penelitian dan pengembangan (R&D) yang mengadopsi model pengembangan ADDIE. Penentuan respon mahasiswa dilakukan dengan memberikan angket respon kepada 12 calon guru (mahasiswa) pendidikan kimia Universitas Tanjungpura Pontianak. Hasil pengolahan data menunjukkan bahwa Chemistry Quartet Card (Chemqurca) yang dikembangkan layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran ditinjau dari persentase kelayakan bahasa 96,6%, kelayakan media 95,8%,kelayakan materi 91,6% dengan skor total rata-rata 94,6% dengan kategori sangat layak. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan angket respon mahasiswa dengan persentase 88,3% dengan kategori sangat baik. Dengan demikian, hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Chemistry Quartet Card (Chemqurca) yang dikembangkan layak digunakan sebagai pembelajaran pada materi sistem koloid.

Abstract

According to the observation that had been done before, it can be concluded that there was lack of attractiveness of LKPD, and learning by using lecture method made students less active while teaching and learning process. Thus, the researcher upgrading such as LKPD development that has learning method in form of guided inquiry. The purpose of this study is to implement LKPD towards guided inquiry that suitable to use and find out teacher’s respond. The methodology that used in this research is Research and Development by applying ADDIE model, but it has been determined to ADD that is Analysis, Design, and Development. In this research, the subject of the research is LKPD and the object is the teacher. The instrument to collect the data is language feasibility assessment sheets, materials, graphs and questionnaires for teacher’s respond. Moreover, the result after analyzing the data by carried out on expert validation of materials, graphics and language respectively are 94%, 94%, and 91% with very decent category. Therefore, the result of teacher’s respond that collected from questionnaire on LKPD that has been developed by using guided inquiry, shown the percentage is 80%. It is very feasible to be applied as a supplement in chemistry teaching and learning process.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui respon mahasiswa terhadap pembelajaran menggunakan model siklus belajar 5E pada hukum dasar kimia. Untuk menjawab permasalahan digunakan metode pra-eksperimen dengan desain one-shot case study. Subjek penelitian adalah 25 mahasiswa PGMIPAU Tahun 2014. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan komunikasi tak langsung. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh informasi bahwa mahasiswamemberikan respon yang baik terhadap pembelajaran menggunakan model siklus belajar 5E pada materi hukum dasar kimia. This study was aimed to know students’ responses towards 5e learning cycle model on law of fundamental chemistry course. One-shot case study design was used to answer the research problem. Research subject are 25 students of PGMIPAU class. Indirect communication technique was usedto collect data. Result of this research informed that students had given good responses towards 5e learning cycle model on law of fundamental chemistry course.   Kata-kata kunci:Model siklus belajar 5E, respon, hukum dasar kimia.

Abstract

Abstract This study aims to determine the feasibility and response of the practicum assistant to the authentic assessment instrument in the practicum of making basic chemistry solutions at the Chemistry Education FKIP of Tanjungpura University. The form of this research is research and development (R&D) which adopts the Jerrold E. Kemp development model. The subject of this study was an authentic assessment instrument in the laboratory for making basic chemistry solutions that were tested on 20 lab assistants at the Chemistry Education FKIP of Tanjungpura University. The data collection instruments used was the feasibility assessment sheet and the practicum assistant questionnaire. The results of data processing indicate that the authentic assessment instrument developed is very feasible by seeing the results of the content validity with a value of one in terms of material and language aspects. Based on the calculation results of the practicum assistant questionnaire response to the authentic assessment instrument that was developed is very well (85.90%). This shows that the feasibility assessment and the response of the practicum assistant to the authentic assessment instrument are very suitable for use in the practicum process. Abstract

This study aims to produce a science learning module on additives based on local wisdom that is feasible to use. This research is a development research using a 4-D model by Thiagaradjan. The data collection technique used is indirect communication with data collection tools, namely evaluation evaluation. The feasibility of the module is seen from three aspects, namely content, language, and graphics. Each aspect is assessed by two experts each. The results showed that the additive module based on local wisdom in the community processing of Karimunting Village was very suitable for use in science lessons with a percentage score on the aspect of content and food presentation 88.5%, language 81.3%, and graphics 92.3%.

Abstract

AbstractCollaboration skills is one of the most important skills in the 21st century. Collaboration is an effort to achieve common goals that have been determined through the division of tasks / works, not as a work group but as a work unit, all of which are directed towards achieving the goals. This study aims to describe the collaboration skills of XI students at SMA Islam BAWARI Pontianak on reaction rate material. Indicators of collaboration skills are contributions, time management, problem solving and working with others. This research uses a descriptive method. The subject of the research was the XI grade students of SMA Islam BAWARI Pontianak in the academic year 2019/2020 which consisted of 35 students. The instrument used was the student collaboration skills assessment sheet and interview guidelines. The results show that the collaboration skills of XI grade students based on the categories of highly skilled, skilled, and moderately skilled skills are 31.4%, 40% and 28.6%. Each indicator show that the level of collaboration skills of contribution, time management, problem solving, and working with others are respectively 74.3% (skilled), 67.8% (skilled), 73.6% (skilled) and 71.4% (skilled).Keyword:  Collaboration Skills,  Contributions, Time Management, Problem Solving,  Working With Other

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there is as significant difference achievement between those who are tought using Sikakimi Media and without between those who are tought using Sikakimi Media who are the topic structure material and to determine the effect size of Sikakimi on students achievement. To achievement the aims, a quasy experimental design was conducted to classes from populations which consists of four classes whwre choosen as samples though random sampling technique. The samples were X IPA 1 class as experimental group and X IPA 3 as countrol group. Acoording to research design, with classes were given a set of test before and after treatment. To achieve the first aim, data were tested using U-Man Whitney test and to achieve the second data were tested using glass test. Acoording to U-Man Whitney data analysis, probality velue was 0,001 which meant there was a significant difference in achievement between both classes. Acoording to glasses test, the effect size score was 0,76 which mean Sikakimi had 27,64% in the medium category.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describe the ability of scientific literacy junior high school students in natural science subjects. The methodology of this research is descriptive qualitative. The total of students who involved in this qualitative research from SMP Negeri 2 Pontianak and SMP Negeri 10 Pontianak are 124. The value of scientific literacy skill used written tests which are given to the students by multiple choice and essay tests. The answers of the students are analyzed by the aspects of scientific literacy. Based on the analysis, the average percentage results of each aspect of scientific literacy are content knowledge in explaining scientific phenomena (27.25%), procedural knowledge in interpreting data and evidence scientifically (53.34%), epistemic knowledge in interpreting data and evidence scientifically (17.4%), and epistemic knowledge in evaluating and designing scientific inquiry (33.23%). Based on the grades achieved by students, it is divided into three categories of grades, high, medium, low. Based on the results of research the average scientific literacy ability of students included in the low category with a percentage of 73.02%. This proves that a small proportion of students have scientific literacy skills.
