Abstract

PT. Fontana Resources Indonesia adalah suatu perusahaan yang bergerak dalam bidang penambangan batubara. Perusahaan ini berlokasi di Desa Butong, Kecamatan Teweh Selatan, Kabupaten Barito Utara, Kalimantan Tengah. Sistem penambangan yang digunakan oleh perusahaan adalah sistem tambang terbuka dengan metode penambangan open pit. Kegiatan pengupasan tanah penutup pada pit 2A di blok B06S04 menggunakan kombinasi 1 alat muat berupa Excavator Volvo EC – 750E dan 4 alat angkut berupa Articulated Dump Truck Volvo A40F. Blok B11S04 menggunakan kombinasi 1 alat muat Excavator Volvo EC – 750E dan 4 alat angkut Articulated Dump Truck Volvo A40G. Pada bulan Oktober 2018 total produksi aktual pada blok B06S04 dan B11S04 adalah 302.400 BCM/bulan sedangkan target produksi perusahaan sebesar 344.000 BCM/bulan sehingga target produksi overburden belum tercapai. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu mengetahui keserasian antara alat muat dan alat angkut; menganalisis faktor yang menghambat produktivitas alat muat dan alat angkut; mengaplikasikan langkah-langkah untuk mengoptimalkan produktivitas alat muat dan alat angkut; dan mengetahui produktivitas alat angkut setelah dilakukan perbaikan faktor penghambat. Faktor yang menyebabkan target produksi tidak tercapai diantaranya kondisi dan geometri jalan yang belum maksimal. Setelah dilakukan analisis perbaikan kondisi dan geometri jalan dengan memperbaiki lebar jalan lurus dan miring, jari-jari tikungan, superelevasi, crosslope, grade, dan rolling resistance maka diperoleh peningkatan produktivitas alat angkut pada blok B06S04 dan B11S04 menjadi 347.265 BCM/bulan.Fontana Resources Indonesia Ltd is a company of coal mining which is located in Butong Village, South Teweh District, North Barito Regency, Central Kalimantan. This company employs quarry mining system with open pit mining method. The activity of overburden at pit 2A Block B06S04 uses the combination of one Excavator Volvo EC – 750E and four dump trucks named Articulated Dump Truck Volvo A40F. Meanwhile, Block B11S04 uses the combination of one Excavator Volvo EC – 750E and four dump trucks named Articulated Dump Truck Volvo A40G. In October 2018, the total actual production at Block B06S04 and B11S04 was 302,400 BCM/month, whereas the production target of company was 344,000 BCM/month. Thus, the target of overburden production was not achieved. This research aimed at investigating the combination of dump truck and excavator, analyzing factors hindering the productivity of dump truck and excavator, implementing some phases to optimize the productivity of both equipment, and investigating the productivity of dump truck after improving the barrier factors. Basically, factors causing the underachievement of production target were less optimum road geometry and condition. Some improvements must be undergone on the road geometry and condition such as improving the width of straight and tilt roads, turn radius, super elevation, cross slope, grade, and rolling assistance. After conducting the analyses on those improvements, the productivity of dump truck at Blocks B06S04 and B11S04 can be increased to 347,265 BCM/month.

Abstract

The mining industry in Indonesia plays an important role as the source of state income and the part of industrial progress of a nation. The majority of mining industry in Indonesia is an open pit., including clay mine that mined by United Tractors Semen Gresik Ltd in Temandang Village, Tuban. An open pit is a mining method that is directly exposed to the free air because it is above the earth’s surface. Therefore, weather factor greatly affects the productivity of the open pit apart from the factors of work effectiveness and material hardness. The result of the study showed that Temandang area has rainfall 135 mm/month. The average of the small production was 76.000 tons per month, so it becomes the researcher’s attention to analyze how great the rainfall influenced the production decrease. To achieve the production capacity target, an analysis by using linear regression equation, in which equation formula of the best statistical test result is as follow : Log P = 0,5025 x [ log {(Pr x JK)1,99 x (CH)-0,001}] + 0,0013. The calculation result by the mathematical model equation above showed that the effect of rainfall on production decrease was very small. Thus, the working hour and productivity greatly affected the production. So, if the production needs to be increased, then the working hour must be increased
