Abstract

Abstract : The purpose of this study was to describe the physics students achievement and describe the activities of students by gender with the implementation of collaborative learning model in MA Al Ihsan Boarding School Kampar. This research was conducted in class X MA Al Ihsan Boarding School Kampar from December 2014 through March 2015 by the research subjects consisted of 17 students in class of Ibnu Sina (boys) and 19 students in class of Al Khawarizmi (girls). The design of this study is the One Shot Case Study applied to two different classes. The research instrument is the form of sheet posttest and observation sheet to observe the activity of student activity during learning activities. Scores of achievement and student activity observation results were analyzed using descriptive analysis. Descriptive analyzes were conducted to determine the absorption, the effectiveness of teaching and learning activity levels between class boys and girls. The average score of student achievement girls was 50.11% (category quite good) and boys is 53.41% (category quite good). While the average score of student activity during the students learning is at high category with a score of 91.10 % for girls and 91.87 % for boys. Student achievement and learning activities of students in physics in boys is better than the achievement and learning activities of girls. So, it can conclude that by applying the collaborative learning model in boys is more effective than girls in the class X MA Al Ihsan Boarding School Kampar.Key Word : Achievement, Collaborative Learning, Gender, Student Activity.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to empirically analyze physics learning media in three-dimensional animation by using Blender application on subject of atomic core for senior high school. This research is the Research and Development type use ADDIEmodel of instructional Design. The subject of this study is the physics learning media in three-dimensional animation using Blender application on subject of atomic core for senior high school. The data in this study is a media assessment score which is given by the respondents through questionnaires. The respondents consisted of 11 teachers of physics (Expert), 20 teachers of physics (Expert User) and 22 students (User) in SMA Pekanbaru. Furthermore, the data were analyzed for validity test through product moment correlation technique and reliability test through Cronbach's alpha technique. Based on data analysis, the value of r count of validity of the assessment score which is given by respondents to the physics learning media is greater than r table. And reliability assessment score which is given by respondents to the physics learning media, has a Cronbach's alpha of greater than 0.7. It can be concluded that the physics learning media in three-dimensional animation using Blender application on subject of atomic core is valid and reliable by teachers and students so that proper used for physics learning media in senior high school.Key Words: Empirical Analysis, Three-Dimensional Animation, Blender Aplication

Abstract

Abstrak : Microscopic physics education subject like core atom is invisible physics subject that needed multimedia to help the students understanding the subject. All this time student understanding about this subject was still low and it make some of student afraid about this subject. Start from how important to understand this subject so we need to make the solution. Learning multimedia which base on three-dimensional animation that can create something abstract to be more real is the solution that given on this research. It was create by Blender application and designed by ADDIE design model that be based on pedagogic, program and learning subject. Result of this research is Blender application with 500 MB size that can be open by computer with processor dual core or equal and RAM 2GB as the minimum capacity. The validation data is 4,515 in very high category. It was found that is good to continue this research so that this learning multimedia can help students to understand about core atom subject.Keyword: Learning Multimedia, 3D Animation, Aplikasi Blender

Abstract

Abstract: The study was aimed to determine the level of attitudes toward student science, student’s cognitive abilities and determine the relationship between attitudes toward science with the cognitive ability of physics science students in grade VIII SLTP in coastal areas (Kecamatan Pulau Merbau). The survey method was used as research method. The data of attitude toward science of student’s was obtained from questionnaire scores. Meanwhile the data of student’s cognitive ability was obtained from the result of mid term test. The results showed that the attitudes toward science of VIII grade students in coastal areas (Kec. Pulau Merbau) were in high category. While the cognitive abilities of students were in the low category. After the significance test was done, there was no significant influence between attitude toward science students with cognitive ability of students in class VIII SLTP in coastal area (Kecamatan Pulau Merbau).Keywords: Attitudes towards science, cognitive ability

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine the effect of learning inquiry trainingmodel on simple harmonic motion lessons to the students' science process skills ingrade X SMA Negeri 1 Tualang. The type of this study was quasi experiment with IntactGroup Comparison design and involved 1 control class and 1 experimental classconsisting of 68 students. The instrument used in this research is a science skill testconsisting of 18 validated description questions. The result of the analysis shows thatthe six aspects of science process skill consist of observation skills, collecting andprocessing the data, planning the experiment / research, formulating and testing thehypothesis, formulating the explanation and drawing conclusions in the experimentalclass with the treatment using inquiry training model higher than the control classUsing conventional models. Based on the data analysis and discussion it can beconcluded that the inquiry training model positively influences the science process skillson simple harmonic motion lessons.Keywords: Inquiry training model, Process Science Skill, Simple Harmonic Motion

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this study was to improve the cognitive learning outcomes of students with the implementation of Susan Loucks-Horsley's learning model in the environmental pollution material in class VII of SMPN 40 Pekanbaru. The population in this study was 201 grade VII students of SMPN 40 Pekanbaru. The sample was taken by simple random sampling so that a sample of 80 grade VII students was obtained which consisted of 40 students in the experimental class and 40 students in the control class. The type of this research is included in pre-experimental design. The design used is Intact Group Comparison. The instrument of this study is in the form of multiple choice written cognitive learning outcomes. Data was collected by giving posttest to the study sample. Data analysis in this study used descriptive analysis and inferential analysis. The results of the study showed that in the experimental class the average absorption capacity of students reached 72.125% with a good category and a control class of 66.625% with a fairly good category. From the average absorptive score obtained, the effectiveness of learning in the experimental class and the control class is in a different category, which is effective and quite effective. Based on the results of inferential analysis, there are significant differences in the cognitive learning outcomes of students between classes applying the Susan Loucks-Horsley model and the class applying conventional learning to environmental pollution material. Thus, the Susan Loucks-Horsley learning model can improve the science learning outcomes of science in grade VII SMP 40 Pekanbaru.Key Words: Susan Loucks-Horsley Learning Model, Cognitive Learning Results, Middle School Science Learning, Environmental Pollution

Abstract

 The purpose of this research was to find improvement the student physics learning motivation in teaching physics through applying quantum teaching by multi intelegences approach implementation by the first year students at SMA N 1 Kampar on academic year 2005/2006. Improvement learning motivation is seen 15 learning motivation indicators. The subject of the research is the student X3 class of SMA N 1 Kampar the sample taken was 37 student. Research instrument used of collecting data in this research  is questioner first motivation and questioner end motivation. The student motivation data analysis by descriptive analysis and differential analysis. The descriptive analysis showed that : (1) The motivation student learning as the topic rectiliniear motion through applying quantum teaching by multi intelegences approach implementation is categorized high and (2) Improvement the student physics learning motivation through applying quantum teaching by multi intelegences approach implementation 16,2 %.

Abstract

 This research purpose to design an instrument capable to run directly bipolar transistors function as an amplifier in current, AC voltage, and as switching. This type of research is research and development, which is developing a basic application instrument for bipolar transistors. The testing to bipolar transistor elementary application instrument use measuring instrument of microampere meter, voltmeter, a generator function, and digital oscilloscope. The reached result indicates that this instrument can prove to gain the current and gain voltage of the transistor. That thing is seen from existence mean gain current 119,99 - 480. While voltage gain 1,46 - 5,29. Transistor application for switching found the fact that transistor starts to have as switching at the voltage base-emitter 0,58 - 0,7 Volt, the result is equal to a bipolar transistor barrier voltage to emission a current from pin emitter to pin collector.

Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to produce of IDEAL problem solving model learning devices for problem solving skil in static fluid material that is valid for use. IDEAL problem solving model is expected to make it easier to understand and develop problem solving skil for students. The device consist of a learning implementation plan, student worksheets, and cognitive test. This research and development (R&D) research uses the 4D model. This research is only limited to the development. The results showed that the learning device using the IDEAL problem solving model was declared valid with overall score of the device being 3,50 with very high category. Thus, the IDEAL problem solving is feasible to be used for learning physics on static fluid material.Key Words: Physics Learning Device, IDEAL Problem Solving Model, Static Fluid Material.

Abstract

Abstract: The learning device developed in this research was a physics learning tool in the form of a concept understanding test instrument. The purpose of this research is to produce a valid concept understanding instrument on the material of vibrations and waves. This research is expected to be a reference in making a valid test instruments, especially on the vibrations and waves material. The type of research is Research and Development (R & D) by using the ADDIE Model. However, this research is only limited to the development stage. The research instrument was used a validation assessment sheet for the Concept Understanding Test Instrument used by the validator to assess learning devices. The analysis data for this research was used descriptive analysis by calculating the validity score of each indicator of the learning devices. The results showed that the Concept Understanding Test Instrument was declared valid with the overall percentage of the device is 83.75% in the Very High category. So that it was declared acceptable for use in learning to test the level of conceptual understanding on the subject matter of vibrations and waves in class VIII of Junior High School.Key Words: Test instrumen of concept understanding, ADDIE model, vibrations and waves.
