Abstract

The formmulation of the problems in this study were: (1) whether independent learning afected the learning achievement of class VIl A students of SMP Negeri 1 Lakudo, (2) whether learning motivation affected the learning achievement of classVIll A students of SMP Negeril Lakudo; and (3) whether independent learning andlearning motivation affected the learning achievement of class VIlI A students of SMPNegeri 1 Lakudo. This stucdy was Er-Post Facto research, which was conducted in class VIll A of SMP Negeril Lakudo, even semester of the 2019 2020 school year. Data collectionim this stucy was carried out using a research instrument in the form of aquestionnaire. Population in this research were l08 students. Sampel in this researchwere 33 students by using random sampling technique. The data obtained were thenamalyzed by descriptive anahsis and inferential analysis and tested the hypothesis inthe form of the t-test. The study results obtained: (1) the minimum and maximum scores of the independent learning questionnaire were 94 and 121, the minimum and maximum Scores of the learning motivation questionnaire were 91 and 136, and the minimum and maximum scores of student learning achie vement were 60 and 83; (2) the mean Score of the learming independence questionnaire was 67, the mean score of thelearning motivation questionnaire was 71 and the student achievement average score was 68; and (3) based on the results of hypothesis testing with t-test, the value of tount 7.867 with a significance value of p = 0.001 was obtained. So that there was asignificant relationship between learning independence and learning motivation onstudents' achievement.

Abstract

Problem statement of this research was how cordthe level of reliability of the test mede by Mathematics teacher at the Junior High School Level in Baubau City according to the Classical Test Theory. Objective of this research was to analysis and to describe the level of reliability of the test made by Mathematics teacher at the Junior High School Level in Baubau City according to the Classical Test Theory. This research used quantitative research according to the Classical Test Theory. Data collection technique in this research used research instrument of multiple choice answer sheet at Junior High School student in VIII grade who took the end of the even semester test for Mathematics for the 2020/2021 academic year along with the answer key using ITEMAN application. Based on the research outcome, it was concluded that the level of reliability of the test made by Mathematics teacher according to the Classical Test Theory at the Junior High Schoool Level in Baubau City which was analyzed by the ITEMAN program had a reliability level based on the criteria category consisting of 7 school namely SMP Negeri 4 Baubau was 0.844 > 0.600 very high category, SMP Negeri 2 Baubau was 0.719 > 0.600 and SMP Negeri 18 Baubau was 0.778 > 0.600 high category, SMP Negeri 8 Baubau was 0.410 > 0.600 enough category, SMP Negeri 10 Baubau was 0.337 < 0.600 low category, SMP Negeri 6 Baubau was -0.173 and SMP Negeri 16 Baubau was -0.448 < 0 unreliable category.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan prestasi belajar siswa kelas VIIIB SMP Negeri 3 Baubau pada Pokok Bahasan Faktorisasi Aljabar. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas yang terdiri dari 1 siklus dengan subjeknya adalah peneliti dan guru sedang objeknya adalah siswa kelas VIIIB SMP Negeri 3 Baubau yang berjumlah 21 siswa. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh adalah nilai rata-rata 41,91 dan ketuntasan pembelajaran mencapai 48%, kemudian hasil belajar siswa setelah tindakan pada siklus 1 meningkat dengan nilai rata-rata 71,22 dengan ketuntasan belajar 81,22%. Kemudian rata-rata hasil observasi pertemuan I sampai pertemuan ke-IV terhadap guru dengan presentasi 86,7% (sangat tinggi), sedangkan rata-rata hasil observasi terhadap siswa dengan presentasi 80% (tinggi). Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa pendekatan pembelajaran Berbasis Masalah dapat meningkatkan prestasi belajar siswa kelas VIIIB SMP Negeri 3 Baubau pada Pokok Bahasan Faktorisasi Aljabar.

Abstract

Rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah apakah peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah melalui pendidikan matematika realistik lebih baik daripada pembelajaran konvensional. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah melalui pendidikan matematika realistik. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah desaqin dua kelompok dengan pretest dan posttest. Populasi penelitin adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 1 Tomia. Sampel penelitian adalah kelas VII A sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VII B sebagai kelas kontrol menggunakan teknik cluster random sampling. Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini dilaksanakan dengan menggunakan instrumen penelitian yaitu esay test. Analisis statistik yang digunakan adalah N Gain score untuk tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh terdapat perbedaan nilai rata rata kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika. Pada kelas eksperimen diperoleh nilai rata rata 78,34 dan kelas kontrol sebesar 54,22. Maka kriteria keektifan didasarkan pada gain score diperoleh presentase kelas eksperimen sebesar 78% termaksud dalam kategori tinggi maka H0 ditolak H1 diterima. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa yang diajarkan dengan menggunakan pendekatan matematika realistik lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa yang diajarkan dengan pembelajaran konvensional.

Abstract

Culture and Mathematics cannot be separated. One of Buton's cultures, namely the Kangaru Traditional Dance, cannot be separated from Mathematics. In this dance, contains mathematical concepts in it. The problem is that most Butonese people do not know that a local culture such as the Kangaru Traditional Dance contains mathematical concepts. The purpose of this study was to determine the philosophical meaning of set and geometry in the traditional dance of Kangaru, Wakalambe Village and Boneatiro. This research is a qualitative exploratory research. Where this type of research aims to determine the meaning of each element in the Kangaru Traditional Dance. Data collection techniques in this study used techniques to find reliable sources in the network and used interview techniques for informants or sources online (via telephone). Testing the validity of the data in this study using source triangulation with cross-check technique. The results showed that there was a philosophical meaning that presented the elements of the Kangaru Traditional Dance in sets and geometry. The results of this research will be published through scientific seminars and journals with ISSN as well as obtaining IPR with the hope that the community can transform it into a spirit of mathematics in everyday life.

Abstract

The formulation of the problem in this research was whether there was an effect of self-confidence on the mathematics learning achiavements of VIII grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Buton Tengah?. The purpose of this research was to determine the effect of self-confidence on mathematics learning achievement of VIII grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Buton Tengah. This research was an ex-post facto research. The population in this research were all students of VIII grade as SMP Negeri 1 Buton Tengah which consisted of 5 classes. The sample was taken as much as 20% of the total population using random sampling tachniques at SMP Negeri 1 Buton Tengah. Data collection techniques in research used a questionnaire. Based on the result of calculations using simple regression, the linear regression equation was obtained: Y = 73.108 + 0.071X. with a t value of 0.528,it was significant at 0.602>0.05. This indicuted that H0 was accepted, or H1 was rejected. This meant that there was no effect of students self-confidence on students’ mathematics learning achievements at SMP Negeri 1 Buton Tengah.

Abstract

This study aimed to develop a hypothesis learning trajectory that can help students understand the concept of volume polyhedron based on van Hiele's theory. This study used a design research method with a type of validation studies to create a design framework for learning trajectories passed by students in mathematics learning. The study focusedon the first stage, i.e. preliminary design to develop a sequence of volume learning activities to polyhedron used the stages of the van hiele theory. The results of this study show the learning activities that will be traversed by students and teachers in understanding the concept of volume up the flat side space through the four stages of van Hiele i.e. 1) visualization stage at  which students find the prism volume; 2) analysis phase at which students find the volume of cuboid obtained from the prism volume; 3) informal deduction phase at which student finds the volume of the cube from the building of the cuboid with the same length and height; 4) formal deduction phase at which student to find the formula for the volume of pyramid.
