Abstract

AbstractThe Rara dialect Dayak language hereinafter abbreviated (BDBDR) is one of the regional languages in Bengkayang Regency. Speakers of this language are spread around Seluas Dusun Piju, Bengkayang Regency. This research was motivated by: (1) BDBDR language is used in formal and non-formal situations, namely as a means of communication between speakers of the Dayak Bakati Rara dialect community, (2) BDBDR is a verbal variety that is very easy to change due to the influence of other languages. (3) the writer wants to describe BDBDR to other speakers. The general problem that will be discussed in this study is how the affixation of the Rara dialect of Dayak Bakati is limited to three sub-problems, namely: form, function and meaning. The purpose of this study is to describe the form, function and meaning of the Dayak Bakati Rara dialect. This research uses a descriptive method. This form of research is qualitative. The data source in this study is BDBDR spoken by the Dayak Bakati Rara dialect in the Piju hamlet of Seluas sub-district. The data in this study are affixes of the Rara dialect of Dayak Bakati which are contained in words spoken by the Dayak Bakati community in the Piju hamlet of Seluas sub-district. The techniques used in the research are: skillful looking techniques, image show techniques, interview techniques and documentary studies. The tools used in this study are the researchers themselves, recording devices, pictures, folklore, song lyrics of the Dayak Bakati language in the Rara dialect.Keywords: Dayak Bakati language, affix, Rara Dialect

Abstract

Abstract The film was chosen as the object of study because it is an audio visual media that can be witnessed directly by the characters who speak and the response of the speakers in the film. The purpose of this research is to describe the forms of compliance and deviations in the politeness of language, and the application in teaching materials in schools through film media. Politeness is a rule of behavior that is determined and agreed upon by a certain community in social life. This research was conducted in descriptive method. The form of this research was qualitative research. The source of the data was focused on Marmut Merah Jambu movie, therefore the analysed data was the speech of the characters. This study contained 62 data from 33 speech data that obeyed the politeness principle and 29 speech data that violated the politeness principle. The results showed that more speeches obeyed the principle of politeness in language. The deviations of politeness principle were wisdom maxim, generosity maxim, appreciation maxim, simplicity agreement maxim, and sympathy maxim. The speech of the characters in Marmut Merah Jambu movie could be a learning material at school on Grade X odd semester on “Anecdote Text”. Keywords: Language

Abstract

Data untuk penelitian ini diperoleh dari Kecamatan Paloh, Sajingan, Subah dan Teluk Keramat Kabupaten Sambas dan dari Kecamatan Entikong, Sekayam, Beduai dan Kembayan Kabupaten Sanggau. Teknik yang dipergunakan untuk pengambilan data adalah teknik survey. Alat pengumpul data terdiri atas format isian data untuk mengumpulkan data mengenai lulusan SD dan data mengenai lulusan SD yang melanjutkan ke SMP dan pedoman wawancara untuk menghimpun informasi yang bersifat kualitatif dari sumber data seperti Kepala Dinas dan Kepala Cabang Dinas Pendidikan. Data diolah dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif. Masalah yang dikemukakan dalam penelitian ini adalah gambaran aksesibilitas dan partisipasi masyarakat dalam Pendidikan Dasar 9 Tahun berdasarkan angka transisi dan faktor-faktor penghambat dalam pelaksanaan Program Wajib Belajar 9 Tahun di daerah perbatasan di Kabupaten Sambas dan Sanggau. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) sebanyak 456 atau 18,38 % dari 2479 orang lulusan Sekolah Dasar dan/atau sederajat di 4 kecamatan daerah perbatasan di kabupaten Sambas pada tahun 2008/2009 tidak melanjutkan sekolah ke tingkat Sekolah Menengah Pertama dan/atau sederajat; (2) sebanyak 305 atau 17,93 % dari 1701 orang lulusan Sekolah Dasar dan/atau sederajat di 4 kecamatan daerah perbatasan di kabupaten Sanggau pada tahun 2008/2009 tidak melanjutkan sekolah ke tingkat Sekolah Menengah Pertama dan/atau sederajat; (3) faktor-faktor penghambat meliputi: sosial-budaya, ekonomi, geografi dan demografi. Abstract

AbstractBMDK is a language used by Madurese Ketapang people who live in Kauman Village, Benua Kayong Subdistrict, Ketapang District. A common problem in this research is the relation of meaning of basic adjective in BMDK. The general problem is subdivided into two sub-connections of the meaning of synonyms of the basic adjective and the relation of the meaning of antonyms of the basic adjective in BMDK. The method used in this research is descriptive method with the form of skin research. Based on the research results in BMDK there are synonyms and antonyms that are analyzed based on the basic adjectives. In this study there are thirteen pairs of basic adjective synonyms divided into three types of synonyms namely total and complete synonyms, total but complete synonyms and synonyms are total but not complete, whereas synonyms are not total and not complete is not found in research this. There are twenty-four basic antimony antimiments in this study that are divided into three types of antonyms, namely absolute antonyms, polar antonyms, and multiple antonyms, whereas hierarchial anonymous anonymous antonyms are not found in this study.Keyword: Relation, mean and adjective.

Abstract

AbstractThe purpose of this research is to describe the implementation and evaluation of active learning strategy type i am the learning skill of writing short story in grade X student A MAS Yasti Singkawang. The method of this research is qualitative research design method of action class that includes 3 cycles. The results showed that students short story writing skills can be improved by the application of active learning strategy type i am the evidenced by the value of the process and the value of writing short stories. In the first cycle shows that the process of writing short story writing is included in the good category while the result of writing short story students reaches 33%. In the second cycle of learning process of writing short story included in good category while the result of writing short story of student reach 57%. In the third cycle of learning process of writing short story included in the good category while the result of writing short story students reach 90% and has reached and exceeded the classical that is determined that is 75%. Keywords: Active Learning Strategy Type I Am The, Writing Skills, short stories

Abstract

AbstractThe research on the pronouns' deiksis, place, and time on the novel Genduk Karya Sundari Mardjuki focuses on the description of the use of pronouns dexterity, place and time. This is in accordance with the formulation of the problem, namely: (1) How is the use of pronouns deiksis at Sundel Mardjuki's Sundel Genduk? (2) How is the use of place deixis at Sundari Mardjuki's Sundel Genduk? (3) How is the use of time deixis in Sundel Mardjuki's Sundel Genduk? This study aims to Describe the use of pronouns deiksis, place, and time on Sundel Mardjuki's Sundel Genduk and conclude it. This research uses descriptive and qualitative method. Sources of data and research data are novel Genduk Sundari Mardjuki and quotations or sentences that show the use of pronouns deiksis, place, and time. Data collection techniques used are documentation and data collection tool is a researcher as a key instrument by recording data that are quotations or sentences containing pronouns deixis, place, and time. Abstract

AbstractThe background of this research in the first place is the low ability of kindergartners at Town For Kids Pre-school in learning and conversing in Indonesian on daily basis. To solve this problem, the researcher uses audio visual media to enhance the learning process of Indonesian Language. The problem formulation in this research is audio visual media can enhance the learning process of Indonesian Language in Town For Kids Pre-school Pontianak. The purpose of this research is to describe the planning, implementation and the result of applying audio visual to complement the learning of Indonesian Language in Town For Kids Pre-school.The students score result in the ability aspect  of mentioning animals names in the first cycle is 59,1 %, the second cycle has an improvement of 22,7 % which resulted in 81,8 % of the students in class have been capable of mentioning the variety of animals names in Indonesian language. In the third cycle, almost every student in the class is included into very well category. Moreover, in the aspect of stating ideas in cycle I has gotten score of 46,4 %, the students haven’t been capable in retelling the story from a movie, in the cycle II the same result has improvement of 22,71% to 69,31%. After applying the action in cycle III the final result of the scoring is 94,3%, which has an improvement of 24,99%. Almost every student is capable to retell the content of video shown in perfect sentence and more than one perfect sentence.           Keywords: Audio Visual Media, enhacing, Indonesian Language learning

Abstract

Abstrak: Latar belakang dilakukannya penelitian ini kerena penggunaan bahasa Indonesia yang baik dan benar pada Surat Keterangan yang dikeluarkan pihak Kelurahan Saigon. Masalah yang dibahas dalam penelitian ini adalah penggunaan bahasa Indonesia pada Surat Keterangan yang dikeluarkan pihak Kelurahan Saigon. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penggunaan bahasa Indonesia pada Surat Keterangan yang dikeluarkan pihak Kelurahan Saigon. Baik pada pemilihan kata, keefektifan kalimat, dan penggunaan ejaan. Metode penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif dengan bentuk penelitian bersifat kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data adalah studi dokumenter. Alat pengumpul data adalah peneliti sebagai instrumen kunci. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data ditemukan bahwa pada Surat Keterangan yang dikeluarkan oleh Kantor Kelurahan Saigon Kecamatan Pontianak Timur Kota Pontianak dalam kurun waktu empat bulan mulai dari Januari hingga April 2015 terdapat 11 kesalahan pemilihan kata atau diksi, 38 kesalahan dalam keefektifan kalimat, dan 90 kesalahan penggunaan ejaan.   Kata Kunci: Penggunaan, Bahasa Indonesia, Surat Keterangan. Abstract: Motivation of this research becaused the use of Indonesian Language well and trully in information letter that issued by Saigon village office. The problem that discussed in this research is an use of Indonesian language in information letter which issued by Saigon village office. The purpose of this research is to describe use of Indonesian language in information letter which issued by Saigon village office. Either on the word election or diction, effectiveness of sentence, use of spelling. This research method is descriptive method while the form is qualitative. The data is collected using documentary study technique. The collector instrument  of data is the researcher as the key instrument. Based on the data analysis that found on information letter that issued by Saigon village office Pontianak Timur district Pontianak city during 4 months starting from January to April 2015 there are 11 mistakes of word election or diction, 38 mistakes of effectiveness of sentence, and 90 mistakes of use of spelling. Abstract

AbstractThis research is based on the low skills of students in reading. The low level of students 'skills in reading is caused by a lack of interest in students' learning in reading and lack of concentration in reading. This study focused on reading biographical material using the Cooperative Talking Stick model. The formulation of the problem in this study is how planning, implementation, and results of intensive reading learning using the Cooperative Talking Stick model. The purpose of this study is to describe the planning, implementation, and learning outcomes of reading biographical texts using the Cooperative Talking Stick model. The method used in this research is descriptive method. The forms of qualitative and quantitative research, and the design is Classroom Action Research (PTK). The instruments used were assignment of questions reading biographical texts, teacher assessment sheets, and observation sheets of students' attitudes and activities. Research data is processed qualitatively and quantitatively. This research was carried out 2 cycles 1 cycle 1 meeting. After getting action in the first cycle the percentage of completeness became 73.33%. An increase in cycle II was 92.59%. Thus, learning to read biographical texts using the Cooperative Talking Stick model in students of class X of Social Sciences 3 Tekarang State 1 High School has increased. Cooperative Talking Stick learning model is in accordance with the characteristics of high school students, therefore it is better to use Cooperative Talking Stick learning models for learning. Keywords: Reading Biographical Text, Cooperative Talking Stick

Abstract

AbstractThe term of costum ceremony in Dayak Bakati? community at Segiring Village is seen from the inventory, the lexical meaning, and the cultural sense. The research method was descriptive linguistics. The research approach was semantic approach. The source of research was the speech of Dayak language Bakati? Segiring dialect spoken by native speakers of Segiring village, Tujuh Belas Subdistrict, Bengkayang Regency. The technique of research was interview, record, notebook, and documentation. The tool of data collection was voice recorder and notebook. Based on the research, the researcher collect 64 terms in the nyabakng ceremony. The data was obtained from the interview and recording process. The terms of the traditional ceremony in the study consisted of 12 tool terms, 48 material terms, 3 terms of offender, and 1 place term. The term of ceremony consist of two terms, 39 terms of monomorfemis (single word) and the 25 terms of phrases. The term in the costum ceremony has a 64 terms of lexical meaning, and 50 terms of cultural sense.Keywords: Terminology, Nyabakng traditional ceremony, Dayak Bakati?.
