Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk menganalisis pertambahan bobot badan ayam pedaging di CV Arjuna Grup berdasarkan tiga ketinggian tempat yang berbeda di kabupaten Malang. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada tiga ketinggian yaitu dataran tinggi Peniwen, dataran sedang Buring, dan dataran rendah Turen pada tanggal 20 Agustus – 20 November 2019. Materi yang digunakan pada penelitian ini sebagai berikut ternak broiler dari DOC - umur panen, dengan populasi yang berbeda dari 30 peternak. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif dengan pengambilan sampel responden dilakukan secara purposive sampling, sedangkan metode pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara, quisioner. Berdasarkan penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa analisis pertambahan bobot badan dari 30 peternak yang bermitra di CV. Arjuna Grup, rataan nilai bobot badan yang tertinggi terdapat pada dataran tinggi sebesar bobot badan 1,79. Saran yang dapat diberikan adalah untuk memperoleh pertambahan bobot badan ayam pedaging yang baik oleh peternak yang berada pada tiga ketinggian tempat yang bermitra di CV Arjuna Grup, maka dalam hal ini prusahaan inti tetap harus mengontrol dan bersinergi dengan baik, salah satunya pada hal cara menganalisis pertambahan bobot badan ayam pedaging di CV Arjuna Grup berdasarkan tiga ketinggian tempat yang berbeda di kabupaten Malang

Abstract

The research was conducted on farmer-based system that is integrated beef cattle business with agricultural land in Situbondo. Situbondo is an agricultural area that has potential as regional business development effort of cattle with rice fields. This research was conducted in Situbondo on 5 August to 12 September 2014. The choice of location research is done intentionally (purposive) in consideration because the area is one of the fields and the majority of people work as petani.Tujuan of this study was to determine the magnitude household income of cattle on beef cattle business integration system and to determine the household income of paddy farmers' efforts. Samples were observed in this study were 39 respondents, and data analysis using the formula to determine the income analysis-cattle farmers' income, the contribution formula to determine the contribution of farming to income-livestock farmers. The results showed that revenues in the system integration business beef with rice fields Rp. 28,434,100.1. Suggestions in the study should be the ranchers and farmers of system integration in Situbondo increase to the maximum all the factors affecting the production of beef cattle business productivity, thereby automatically breeders and farmers' income will also

Abstract

This research is attempt to bring out marketing mix that dominate the consumer behavior in purchasing beef, to know marketing factors model that recognized by consumer to purchase the beef and to know what marketing strategy implemented by Hypermart MATOS. The research conducted from May to July 2018 involving 100 respondents. A purposive sampling methods was carefully used in determining respondents. Research is conducted by gathering data from primary source that is questionnaire and secondary source directly collected from the firm. Primary data analysis processed in order to highlight factor model that considered by consumer and SWOT analysis to describe company’s condition in specifying marketing strategy. The result shows that marketing mix most considered by consumer to purchase the beef including the product it self, place and promotions influences 26,414 percent, 26,165 percent and 22,778 percent, respectively. Factor model we considered including: factor 1 : competitive price and product it self such variable X5 (flavor), X7 (color), X8 (expiration date), X11 (price changes); factor 2 : the package involving variable X1 (packaging form), X2 (the package easy to open), and X3 (packaging materials); factor 3 : display product on show case as variable X4 (product display). Each factor model has their impacts 33,474 percent, 14,948 percent and 11,413 percent, respectively. Marketing strategy growth and build consists of market penetration by selling product in lower price to market segment which is sensitive to price, product development (diversification) referred to product factor model and price comparison, packaging and displays by giving recipes information from each type of beef and market development in order to fit demography condition and beef consumer characteristics in Malang.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to know the extraction method of caterpillar pupa without detrimental to chemical composition to know the amount of pupa production of German caterpillar with two extraction methods per 100 grams of pupa To know the content of dry matter, organic matter, crude protein, crude fat, crude fiber and amino acid lysin, methionine, and vitamin E pupa oil of German caterpillar. The study was conducted from February to April 2017, at the Lab. Central University Tribhuwana Tunggadewi. Oil extraction analysis was conducted in the chemistry laboratory of Tribhuwana Tunggadewi University and chemistry laboratory of Poltek Malang. German caterpillar research material, German caterpillar pupa, pupa caterpillar germany extracted by maceration and sokletasi. German caterpillar pupa is obtained from German caterpillar breeders in Amadanom, Dampit, Malang Regency. This research uses two different extraction methods, namely cold extraction method (maseration method) and using heat method (soxhlet method). The conclusions of both research methods are known that the quantity of German caterpillar yield using soxhlet extraction method is more than the maceration extraction method. However, for the quality of the two methods it is still necessary to do further analysis to know the exact comparison of the two methods.

Abstract

This research aimed to analyze and evaluate and identify the carcass profile of male limousin crossbreed cows slaughtered at The Slaughterhouse (RPH) Malang city. Three hundred male limousin crossbred cows, which are slaughtered within four months, were selected as study material. The identification of male limousin crossbred cattle based on physical characteristics documented in the RPH antemortem document and direct visual observation on the unique characteristic of brown and blackish-brown colors, horns, and black hooves, and tail hair, and compact body shape. The variables observed in this study included slaughtered age, body weight, carcass weight, carcass percentage, carcass components percentage, and carcass quality grade. The results showed that the average age was 34.86±3.04 months, with a mean bodyweight of 532,44±62,47 kg, carcass weight 287,76±45.22 kg, and carcass percentages 54.11±6,16 % with carcass components percentage: meat 82,15±1,56 % and bone 17,85±1,56 %, as well as carcass quality grade at the choice grade, according to the USDA. The carcass production profile of male limousin crossbreed cattle in Malang city slaughterhouse is not optimal according to male limousin cows' genetic potential related to the environment's adaptation process and the feed is given. Therefore, the carcass production profile shows the male limousin crossbreed cattle carcass potential to meet the meat needs, especially for Malang consumers.

Abstract

Jenis ektoparasit yang tinggi dapat mengakibatkan kematian pada ternak ayam. Kurangnya penelitian mengenai ektoparasit membuat informasi jenis ektoparasit yang menyerang ayam serta dampak ektoparasit terhadap ternak maupun peternak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) Mengetahui jenis ektoparasit yang terindentifikasi pada ayam petelur dan afkir. (2) Untuk mengetahui bagaimana cara menangani ektoparasit yang teridentifikasi pada ayam petelur dan afkir di peternakan rakyat dI Desa Gadingkulon Kecamatan Dau Kabupaten Malang. Jawa Timur. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif. Data dipilah dalam bentuk presentase dengan cara mengelompokkan kutu yang dikoleksi berdasarkan genus, bagian tubuh inang. Selanjutnya dibuat dalam bentuk presentase dominasi dan presentase sebaran kutu pada ayam. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa 100% ayam terinfeksi ektoparasit. Pada ayam produksi ditemukan 4 spesies kelompok kutu yaitu Menopon gallinae, Goniocotes gallinae, Goniodes, Lipeurus caponi. sedangkan pada ayam afkir ditemukan 4 spesies kelompok kutu yaitu Menopon gallinae, Goniocotes gallinae, Goniodes, Lipeurus caponis. Jumlah ektoparasit yang teridentifikasi pada ayam produksi lebih sedikit dibandingkan dengan ektoparasit yang ditemukan pada ayam afkir. pada ayam produksi jumlah keseluruhan ektoparasit yang teridentifiksi di Desa Gadingkulon Kecamatan Dau Kabupaten Malang. Jawa Timur yaitu 352 genus. Sedangkan pada ayam afkir jumlah keseluruhan ektoparasit yang teridentifikasi yaitu 357 genus.

Abstract

Batu Tourism City is a city with many tourist destinations where there are many places to eat around tourist attractions and hotels that require businesses and households to meet the needs of food ingredients, one of which is beef, both fresh and processed. The research was conducted in Pasar Besar, Pasar Gentengan, and Pasar Pesanggrahan in Kota Wisata Batu on April 8, 2021 – August 8, 2021. The aim of this study was to determine the factors that influence public purchasing decisions for fresh and processed beef simultaneously and partially. The sampling of the research was carried out using the accidental sampling method with a total of 100 respondents. The samples used are consumers who buy fresh and processed meat in the three markets. Primary data processing analysis uses multiple linear regression approach with SPSS 22 measuring instrument. The results of calculating primary processing that all independent variables, product, price, place, promotion, and service provide a positive relationship and correlation of 0.724 or 72% on consumer purchasing decisions. in buying fresh and processed beef products at the study site, while the remaining 28% was influenced by independent variables outside the study. The conclusion that can be drawn from the results of the study is that the independent variables that have a dominant influence are the price and place variables which have an influence of 0.299 and 0.274 respectively. The promotion variable produces a value of 0.089 so it has no significant effect on consumer purchasing decisions. Suggestions from the research are that the market should promote directly through print media so that consumers can find out and automatically increase consumer interest in buying fresh and processed meat in Batu Tourism City.

Abstract

The current development of the plants that have medicinal properties have progressed whereby drug discovery as well as a sophisticated new technology into alternative solutions in the pharmaceutical world progress. Utilization of the yard are generally not utilized properly has many benefits especially in terms of increasing the family income, for example as the granary of life and living pharmacy, so it needs to be developed intensively. Simple technology that can be implemented that should bring some broad benefits to society not only in the process of self-sufficiency, but also can be directed toward health independence through several development Family Medicinal Plants (TOGA). TOGA synonymous with herbal raw materials for herbal medicine which are domination with a bitter taste, has no aesthetic value and is rarely consumed by the public.  This causes difficulty in the development of the value of medicinal plants. to know and understand the background of the community in understanding the background of TOGA, how to grow TOGA plants, and their use to revitalize the TOGA program, especially in Sidorejo Village. This service activities subsequently conducted outreach activities about the benefits of medicinal plants, how crops TOGA is good and right as well as the provision of some medicinal plants will be planted in the yard of the village TOGA post. Of community service activities, it is concluded that the lack of knowledge of the public in knowing the types of plants TOGA and the efficacy of various plants TOGA limited and the lack of land use that are owned by citizens.

Abstract

The research was conducted using a survey method at the KOP SAE, Pujon, Malang in March 2020 with the consideration that the SAE Dairy Cooperative in Pujon is one of the largest dairy cooperatives in Malang which supplies a lot of milk to several dairy processing industries. The data used are primary and secondary data, where primary data is obtained from the results of questionnaires filled in by respondents from research sites, journals, and books to support research results. The number of samples selected was 100 people using the purposive sampling method. The data analysis method used the descriptive qualitative analysis method by obtaining the correlation between marketing mix variables (product, price, place, promotion, and people) on consumer purchasing decisions in buying fresh milk products and processed products at the KOP SAE, Pujon, Malang Regency. The conclusion of the research is that product variable, place variables, and promotion variables have a dominant influence on consumer purchasing decisions in buying fresh and processed milk products with significance values of 0.285, 0.256, and 0.223 respectively. While the service and price variables simultaneously provide a positive relationship and correlation with sequential values of 0.211 and 0.164, therefore it is considered less significant in influencing consumer decisions in buying fresh and processed milk products in the KOP SAE, Pujon, Malang.

Abstract

Ulat hongkong (Tenebrio molitor L) merupakan bagian dari “aneka ternak” yang sangat mudah diterapkan bagi ibu rumah tangga baik sebagai mata pencaharaian utama maupun sampingan. Ulat hongkong merupakan komoditas yang digunakan sebagai makanan burung, ikan, reptile, pangan, dan sebagai bahan baku kosmetik. Dalam masa hidupnya, ulat hongkong melewati beberapa siklus yaitu telur, larva, kepompong (pupa), dan kepik / serangga. Bagi peternak ulat hongkong, 4 tahapan siklus ini harus dilakukan sendiri karena tidak ada pasar yang hanya menjual bibit berupa ulat muda maupun kepiknya saja. Kelembaban dan suhu merupakan masalah yang seringkali dialami oleh peternak ulat hongkong karena sangat berpengaruh pada siklus produksi terutama perubahan ulat dewasa menjadi kepik. Suhu dan kelembaban yang yang terlalu panas atau terlalu rendah akan menyebabkan pembentukan kepik dari ulat dewasa menjadi tidak serempak sehingga ulat yang lambat berkembang akan mengalami kematian akibat diinjak-injak atau dimakan oleh ulat yang sudah berubah menjadi kepik. Untuk mengatasi hal ini solusi yang dilakukan adalah (1) identifikasi masalah pokok yang mempengaruhi perkawinan ulat hongkong (2) Penjelasan mengenai siklus hidup ulat hongkong dan factor-faktor yang mempengaruhi pertumbuhannya (3) Penerapan teknologi modifikasi ruangan perkawinan ulat hongkong melalui pemasangan exhaust dan pemasangan thermometer digital yang secara otomatis menyala sendiri sesuai suhu ideal ruangan perkawinan ulat (4) Pendampingan dan pelayanan konsultasi dilakukan selama seluruh kegiatan pengabdian yaitu 8 bulan penuh, yang meliputi terhadap semua kegiatan dan praktek hingga mengetahui dampak dari teknologi yang ditransfer bagi tingkat kematian kepik dan peningkatan produksi. Dari hasil pelaksanaan pengabdian masyarakat ini disimpulkan bahwa penerapan teknologi melalui modifikasi ruangan menggunakan exhaust dan thermometer digital otomatis dapat menurunkan tingkat kematian kepik ulat hongkong sebesar 20%, peningkatan kuantitas ulat hongkong sebesar 16,7 % dan peningkatan pendapatan sebesar 70,9%.
