Abstract

Penelitian Pemanfaatan Limbah Sayur Kubis Brassica oleracea dan Buah Pepaya Carica papaya Sebagai Pakan Cacing Tanah Lumbricus rubellus sudah dilakukan selama dua bulan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pertumbuhan cacing tanah pada tiga jenis pakan yaitu kotoran sapi, limbah sayur kubis, dan limbah buah papaya. Limbah sayur kubis dan limbah buah papaya difermentasikan selama tujuh hari. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen dengan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL), tiga perlakuan dan lima ulangan. Pengamatan dilakukan setiap dua minggu selama delapan minggu. Data dianalisis dengan analisis varians (ANOVA) dan dilanjutkan dengan uji Duncan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan perlakuan dari limbah buah pepaya mempunyai nilai pertumbuhan berat 0.16 – 0.20 g, limbah sayur kubis dengan berat 0.12-0.14 g, dan kotoran sapi dengan berat 0.10 – 0.12 g. Pertumbuhan panjang dari limbah buah pepaya yaitu 0.9 -1.2 cm, limbah sayur kubis dengan panjang 0.89 – 0.99 cm, dan kotoran sapi 0.63 – 0.90 cm. Penggunaan limbah buah pepaya memberikan hasil terbaik dengan pertumbuhan berat 0.16 – 0.20 g dan panjang 0.9 -1.2 cm. Kata Kunci : Cacing Tanah, Limbah Kubis, Buah Pepaya, Pertumbuhan.

Abstract

The research aimed to improve student’s questioning ability and communication activness through of  Inquiry model. The research was a Classroom Action Research that performed within 3 cycles used  Inquiry model. The research partisipans were 38students of XI IPA 4 SMA N Karangpandan academic year 2015/2016. The validity of the data used technique of triangulation method. The research used qualitative descriptive analysis techniques. The  research result showed improvement of students’s quantity question from71 questions in cycle I to 72 questions in cycle II, and 108 questions in cycle III. Student’s question quality improved from C1 to C4 in the kognitif level of thingking. Improvement in each indicator of communication activeness showed 44,08% in listening teacher during class, 43,41% in listening peer presentation during class, 61,84% in answering question asked by teacher or friend, 46,05% in asking question during class, and 63,15% in giving opinion during discussion.The conclusion of the research showed improvement of student’s questioning ability and communication activness through Guided Inquiry model.

Abstract

ABSTRACT- The purpose of this research is to know the comparison of problem based learning models with Guided discovery learning to activities of students of X grade students at SMA Negeri 1 Ngawi in academic year 2013/2014. This study was a quasi experimental research. The research design was used post-test only nonequivalent control group design. This research applied problem based learning models and Guided Discovery Learning at experimental group. The population of this research was all of X grade students at SMA Negeri 1 Ngawi in academic year 2013/2014. Sampling techniques used cluster sampling that choosed X MIPA 4 experiment group I and X MIPA 6 as Experiment group II. Techniques of collecting data were test and non-test methods. The test method examination test. The non-test method included observation of activities student and documentation.  The hypotheses analyzed by t-test. This research concluded that there are differences activities of student to application of problem based learning and Guided Discovery Learning of grade students at SMA Negeri 1 Ngawi in academic year 2013/2014.Keywords : activities., problem based learning., Guided discovery learning.

Abstract

ABSTRACT ? This research aims toimprovebiologi?s  science skill process towards students in grade of X-8 of SMA Negeri 1 Sukoharjoby implementation of Think Talk Write strategy based on contextual learning. This research belongs to Classroom Action Research. Qualitative research paradigm is used asan approach to view all the obtained data.This Classroom Action Research is performed and consist of3 cycles. Each cycles consist of four stages namely planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Data for each cycle were gathered by using 3 kinds of data collection procedures, questionnaires, observations, and interviews. All the obtained data then were analyses descriptively to ascertain whether the applications of Classroom Action Research is considered as effective or otherwise. From the results, it can be concluded that the implementation of Think Talk Write strategy based on contextual learningtowards students of class X-8 SMA Negeri 1 Sukoharjo academic year 2010/2011 has given a good effect. According to theobservationof student activities indicators is rise from  62,25% to the 77,08% during the 1st Cycle and rise up to 82,25% during the last Cycle. As compare to the previous observationthe result of thequestionnaireupon the same indicators is rise from 65,02% to the 70,69%duringthe 1st Cycle and ended with  77,55 % during the last Cycle. Yet it can be concluded that the application of Think Talk Write strategy based on contextual learning could improve the science skill process. Abstract

ABSTRACT - The research objective was to determine the effect of the application of guided inquiry approach to basic science process skills of students in grade VIII Junior High School 7 Surakarta on the basis of competency describes the circulatory systems of humans and their relationship to health. The research uses quasi-experimental research method. The population in this study were all students in grade VIII first semester of Junior High School 7 Surakarta school year 2011/2012, samples were taken with Cluster Random Sampling a number of two classes, namely class control and class experiments. Experimental class totaled 30 students and a control class numbered 30 students. To meet the requirements of the test sample is carried out initial balance ability between the experimental group and control group by t test. Research data in the form of student basic science process skills that include observation, clasifikation, measuring, prediction, conclution, and communication. Research data of basic science process skills outcomes derived from the observation sheet. Analysis of the data in this study using two-sample t test on mini tab 16. T test were selected after the test is a prerequisite Anderson-Darling normality test and Levene's homogeneity test. The results showed that application of guided inquiry learning have a significant influence on basic science process skills of students in grade VIII Junior High School 7 Surakarta. Abstract

ABSTRACT ? Aims of this research are to know the influence of  Card Sort With Mind Mapping  learning strategies toward student?s  achievement in studying biology of  SMA N Banyudono Boyolali. This research was quasi experiment research using quantitative approach. The research was designed using posttest only randomized control group by using the experimental classes (application of Card Sort with Mind Mapping  strategy) and control classes (conventional learning). Population studies are all students of SMA N Banyudono Boyolali  in academic year 2011/2012. Sampling techniques with cluster random sampling, so chosen XI IPA 1 as the experiment class and XI IPA 2 as the control class. Data was collected using questionnaire, essay test, observation sheet, and document. The data were analyzed by t-test. The conclusion of this research were science process skills was  significantly affected by Card Sort  with Mind Mapping  and  the application of  Card Sort  with Mind Mapping  has taken effect on student?s cognitive and psychomotor, affective achievement in studying biology of SMA N Banyudono Boyolali. This research is considered quasi-experiment research.  The research was designed using Posttest-Only Control Group Design by applying Student Created Case Studies learning method l with picture media in experimental group and lectures methods, discussions, and experiment  in control group.  The population of this research were all strudents in X grade of SMA Negeri 1 Mojolaban in academic year 2011/ 2012. The sample of this research was established by Cluster Random Sampling, in order to obtain class X-3 as experimental group and class X-2 as control group.  The data was collected by using tests, documentation and observation form.  The hypothesis was analized by using t-test. Abstract

ABSTRACT ? This research  aims at improving the creativity of learning biological science through active learning by using mind-map method towards eleventh grade students of science 3 program (XI A3) at SMA Negeri 1 Ngemplak, Boyolali. This research is a Classroom Action Research which was conducted in two cycles. Each cycle consists of four stages: planning, action, observation, and reflection. The subject of this research is the eleventh grade students of science 3 program (XI A3) at SMA Negeri 1 Ngemplak, Boyolali in 2010/2011 academic year. The data of this research were collected through observations, questionnaires, and interviews. The technique of data analysis uses descriptive analysis technique and the data validity was obtained by using the technique of triangulation method. The result of this research shows that the Classroom Action Research which was done through active learning by using mind-map method can give improvement towards the creativity of learning biological science towards the eleventh grade students of science 3 program (XI A3) at SMA Negeri 1 Ngemplak, Boyolali. It can be seen from the result of observations, questionnaires distribution, and interviews. The overall mean of percentage achievement score for each indicator based on the observation of students? creativity in the first cycle is about 76% and about 84.67% in the second cycle (with 8.67% increase). Meanwhile, the overall mean of percentage achievement score for each indicator based on questionnaires of students? creativity in the first cycle is about 77.43% and about 78.87% in the second cycle (with 1.44% increase). Based on the result, it can be concluded that the implementation of active learning by using mind-map method can improve the creativity of learning biological science towards the eleventh grade students of science 3 program (XI A3) at SMA Negeri 1 Ngemplak, Boyolali. Abstract

ABSTRACT ? The purpose ofthis study was to improvestudent science process skills on Biology teaching by implementation of Active Learning with Silent Demonstrationand increaselearning outcome by improvingstudent science process skills. This research usedclassroom action research. The experiment was conducted in two cycles, with each cycle consisting of the planning, acting, observation, and reflection. Subjects were students of class VIII-DSMP Negeri 14 Surakarta academic year 2010/2011. Source of data derived from teacher and student information, places and events on going learning activities, and documentation. Techniques and tools of data collection are questionnaire, observation, and interviews. Technical analysis of data is using qualitative descriptive. Data validationis use methods triangulation Result of the research showed  that with action performing brazes to pass through Implementation of Active Learning with Silent Demonstration can improve science process skillsin biology learning in class VIII-DSMP Negeri 14 Surakarta academic year 2010/2011. It wasgone upon on questionnaire result, observation and interview. The average percentage each indicator of student activities based on observation  for  pre cycle is 36,62%, a cycle of 68,94% and 78,28% for cycle 2. The conclusions that application of Active Learning with Silent Demonstrationcan improve student science process skillsand learning outcome by improvingstudent science process skills.
