Abstract

Abstract-monitoring technology is an area or region now isgrowing rapidly, this refers to the interest to be used.Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) is a type of camera thatwas used for the supervisor of the building or room, but itcan also be used to monitor the condition of congestion androad conditions. The problems are the installation ofCCTV is not always right on target because it is onlyinstalled for trend following, without looking at theconditions that will be installed, so it becomes less thanoptimal. Many of the problems in need of supervision bythe Government. Problems such as road density, accidentprone area, business area, area schools, parking area andpopulation density at the location of the road is a problemthat requires supervision. In order for the supervision canbe done with the optimal technological devices are usedthen the information and communication technology, theutilization for surveillance of a region commonly referredto with the Smart Monitoring, the device that can be usedis CCTV. In order to target the right CCTV installationrequires a calculation and analysis of the right against theconditions of the point to be fitted, to allow the installationof CCTV can be right on target and not just follow thetrend of development of the technology. Many of theproblems that have to be analyzed before the installationof CCTV, to find the solution of many problems, thisresearch using methods MCDM method Simple AdditiveWeighting (SAW). Based on the results of the calculationof 40 data points of observation in the city of XYZ with 10categories, problems and preferences 3 weights usedproduce a value Vi maximum 4 point, and that point isrecommended for CCTV installed.Keywords: SAW, CCTV

Abstract

Manufacturing Process Laboratory of Mechanical Engineering of University Brawijaya still applies the manual system in carrying out preventive maintenance. This has caused delays of action for machine maintenance and difficulties encountered by the manager or head of the laboratory with accessing to data on preventive maintenance matters to obtain the required information. Besides, there has been no encoding on the machines, components, and spare parts so that the search for information on the machines and spare parts took a long time. Therefore, a Maintenance Management Information System, which integrates Database science, Preventive maintenance, and machine tools, was created where the steps included developing the prototype. The instrument used in creating the information system was Microsoft Access 2016. Based on the testing results, the Maintenance Management Information System could generate report recaps, daily reports, warnings of available spare parts stocks, and tools and search menu. Accordingly, the information system could meaningfully assist the head of the laboratory in managing the maintenance of machines.

Abstract

PT. APW is a manufacturing company of the bus body. One of the production process department in PT. APW is frame work department. It is in charge of making the bus body frame. The problem faced in this department is inadequationvof the current system. It is because the work is done manually and is not by using computer applications with database systems. The study used the assembly information management system based on Group Technology to help its assignment of bus body frame assembling process and the work report. Management Information System Design Assembly (SIMPER) were performed by using the Microsoft Access 2013 to produce a prototype application SIMPER consisting of phase identification, analyzing, planning, designing, implementating and testing. By designing this SIMPER prototype application, it is expected to meet the needs of users of information systems in Production Manager, SPV and Admin employees.

Abstract

Leakage tube after tube expanding process is still occurred in PT. BBI Pasuruan due to imperfect material deformation. Material deformation cause by a change in material form due to external forces such as temperature, friction force, compressive force, and the torque style. Deform 3D was used in this investigation to determine the material deformation processes. Taguchi method design of experiment was also used to minimize the bad cause of the poor performance is also influenced by several variables or factors on the characteristics of the desired quality. The results shows that the combination to prevent deformation of the material in the condenser tube are the friction between the tool and the tube expander of 0.787 inch, the material used is stainless steel ASTM A 249 grade 2, tube expanding process temperature optimum of 89.6 F, and expander velocity of 0.708 inches per second.Keywords: Taguchi method, design of experiment, tube expanding, material deformation
