Abstract

Contravention and community alteration are a couple that influences each other. Contravention inevitably drives community alteration. Community alterations also inevitably lead to the contravention. These conditions can manifest in large or small sizes. Every society that exists on this earth in their life will certainly experience what is called changes. These changes will be known if we compare by examining association at a particular time which we then reach with the state of society in the past. Changes that occur in the community are a continuous process. This situation means that every organisation will, in fact, experience changes. This study aims to collect argumentative views on the relationship between contravention and community alteration. The conclusions of this study have a significant impact in providing illustrations and projections of what social situations occur before and after contraventions or community, alterations arise. This research is a discourse relation analysis research. This type of research analyses the relationship between two or more variables and then describes each contextual factor. This study concludes that the argumentative view of implying and exposing the relationship of contravention to community alteration is vital and sensitive.

Abstract

The fundamental essence of a country born by a nation is bound by traditional values that crystallize in philosophy and have existed long before the country was founded. It must refer to the traditional values of the country. Indonesia has significant problems as well, also, with a series of complications and distortions in formulating nominations for solutions to each situation. The philosophy that becomes the reference and the fundamental values of the tradition is believed to solve these problems. If the philosophy of the convention is by religious values, only religion can subdue belief in the truth of traditional customs for the nation that was born. As a religion of rahmatan lil'alamin, Islam has a universal nature, meaning that Islamic teachings can cover all aspects of living. This research urgency is that the community, especially the Batak tribe, can revitalize their life orientation, including the exposure of building structures and infrastructure in line with the Poda Na Lima philosophy, by first finding the relevances between the things that are important to them in their status as Muslims and Bataks. The method used in this study is a qualitative method using a critical discourse analysis approach. From the presentation of the results of this study, it is apparent that the five points of Poda Nalima contain teachings and education that have extraordinary values and become a philosophy and rule of life in society. The whole of the contents of the Poda na lima is in line with and relevant to the teachings of Islam.

Abstract

Language is a tool to convey messages from articulators to auditors. Thus, the core of the language process is how messages can be conveyed effectively and efficiently using the way that is considered the best. Language always experiences development and change. These developments and changes occur due to various factors, such as social, economic and cultural dynamics. Using two languages side by side may cause language distortion in its implementation. The problem that emphasizes is the shifting of the Betawi dialect in the family domain, especially the Betawi descendants who live in Jakarta. This study aims to determine the form of shifting the Betawi dialect. Data was provided using questionnaires, and random interviews aimed explicitly at some Betawi communities in the family domain. Then the data describe phenomenologically by looking at the basic principles of speech components as a reference for the analysis. From the research that has been done, the results obtained that the dialect shift that occurs in Betawi occurs in the generation of children and parents. This form of shift can be identified in the use of shifting Betawi vocabulary into other vocabularies. Other languages are dominated by Indonesian, indirectly the Betawi community's second language. At the same time, the causes of shifting dialects in the Betawi community include the influence of language variations and the lack of loyalty of the local community.

Abstract

Language is both a product and a very important medium of civilization. This condition makes the role and condition of language very crucial in civilization. Like the Betawi language, which is currently threatened with latent and slow extinction. It is feared that this condition will lead to the loss of Betawi's original values and culture, not its people biologically. This research tries to find an effective and efficient construction in preserving endangered languages. In the case of the Betawi language, an approach that pays attention to the cultural dynamics that occur within the Betawi community is the key to success. The conscientious situation of the Betawi people in loving and being passionate in defending their language is also an absolute requirement in the process of preserving this endangered language.

Abstract

This research paper employs a conceptual analysis to investigate the contrasting online behaviors between Asian and European internet users, commonly known as netizens. The study aims to identify the differences in online consumer habits between the two regions and analyze the key drivers that influence these behaviours. The research is particularly significant for businesses intending to target online consumers in Asia and Europe, as it provides insights for developing more effective, region-specific marketing strategies. The paper reveals that one of the most prominent differences between Asia and Europe is the number of netizens, with Asia having a substantially larger internet user population. This not only reflects the market size but also points to different levels of digital engagement between the two continents. Despite this, a shared preference for using smartphones and tablets for online shopping is observed across both regions, aligning with the global trend toward mobile e-commerce. However, regional variations exist within this general trend, making the landscape complex and nuanced. Asia demonstrates immense market potential due to rapidly growing digital economies in countries like China, Japan, and South Korea, and regions such as Southeast Asia. In contrast, Europe has potential e-commerce markets in countries like Germany, Poland, and Norway, but certain nations lag in the development of social delivery networks and services. This suggests varying degrees of market readiness between the two regions. The paper identifies multiple factors shaping the e-commerce landscape, including demographics, cultural differences, preferred payment methods, prevalent e-commerce platforms, mobile shopping trends, and cross-border shopping practices. In summary, the study underscores the need for businesses to have a nuanced understanding of these regional differences to craft more effective marketing strategies and provide an optimized online shopping experience.

Abstract

The Betawi language, the native tongue of Jakarta's original community, is currently facing a critical situation due to the fast-paced developments in the city's civilization. As a result, urgent and effective preservation measures are necessary to safeguard the Betawi language. Concerns arise from the fear that the Betawi language might vanish and become extinct, leading to the failure of passing down Betawi values, technology, traditions, and culture to future generations. Losing these traditional values and cultural heritage would mean the decline of an entire civilization. The research aims to evaluate the present condition and status of the Betawi language and employs Social Semiotics, Demography, and Sociology as its main disciplines. To avoid being solely reliant on numbers, a qualitative approach is adopted, focusing on expression, nuances, and preferences. The findings of this research indicate that the current state of the Betawi language is more precarious than in the past, and its negative impact on the Betawi community is significant. However, it is believed that the educational approach holds promise in supporting efforts to preserve the Betawi language. Nevertheless, a comprehensive preservation strategy should be developed, with collaboration from various contextual segments to ensure the survival of the Betawi language.

Abstract

The study aims to delve deeply into the communication challenges faced by individuals with specific language disorders caused by brain damage, such as Transcortical Aphasia. These disorders not only serve as an obstacle to these individuals' social and personal adjustment but also lead to further complications like social isolation due to mispronunciation and feelings of embarrassment. This research posits that the challenges these individuals face are not only their own but extend to those around them who wish to communicate effectively with them. Employing a hybrid methodology that integrates both qualitative and quantitative analyses, the research scrutinizes the effectiveness of Multisensory Stimulation therapy as a learning method for individuals with language disorders. The study is framed as classroom action research, designed to evaluate the real-world implications of implementing such a therapy in a learning environment. The overarching conclusion of the study suggests that Multisensory Stimulation therapy has a considerable positive impact on improving language abilities and social interactions for people with Transcortical Aphasia. However, the research also underscores the need for further refinement in the implementation strategies, tactics, and learning models based on Multisensory Stimulation therapy. It calls for the adaptation and coordination of these learning methodologies to adhere to principles of effectiveness and efficiency rigorously. By doing so, the study aims to contribute to a more nuanced understanding of language disorders and offer tangible solutions for improving the quality of life for affected individuals and their social circles.

Abstract

In this comprehensive research, we delve into an analytical examination of the official statements made by the government concerning the COVID-19 pandemic situation. The primary objective of this investigation is to decipher and understand the nuances of the government's communication to ensure that the general populace is not misinformed or led astray by any ambiguities present in these statements. To lay a theoretical foundation for this analysis, we have employed the principles of semantic studies, which provide valuable insights into the meanings and interpretations of words and sentences.Given the nature of our research, a descriptive methodology has been chosen. This approach is deemed most appropriate because it offers a detailed representation of the collected data. To gather this data, extensive observations were conducted, specifically focusing on the portrayal of government declarations in various mass media outlets. By scrutinizing these pronouncements, we aim to shed light on areas where the government's messaging might be unclear or open to various interpretations. The culmination of this research presents an elucidative account, highlighting the instances and specific terminologies where the government's communication appears ambiguous. This ambiguity, whether intentional or accidental, has the potential to impact public understanding, especially concerning the pressing matter of the COVID-19 pandemic. Our findings underscore the need for precise, clear, and unequivocal communication, particularly in matters of public health and safety.

Abstract

This study embarks on an exploration to address the complex issue of defining religious obligations within the framework of Indonesian society. It is particularly important to understand these obligations in the context of Indonesia's foundational ideology, Pancasila, the foremost principle of which affirms a belief in a Single, Supreme God. Given the legal and ethical complexities involved, a juridical-normative approach is employed as the analytical lens to scrutinize and understand policy-related aspects surrounding the religious obligations in Indonesia. The juridical-normative methodology is particularly useful for unearthing and interpreting governmental policies and societal norms that influence religious adherence in the country. Although the Indonesian government does not explicitly mandate its citizens to follow only the religions it formally recognizes namely Islam, Christianity, Buddhism, and Hinduism there exists an underlying tension between formal recognition and actual practice. The findings indicate that in practice, adherents of other local belief systems such as Sunda Wiwitan, Kaharingan, and Parmalim, which have been passed down from generation to generation, often face discriminatory treatment that belies the spirit of the Pancasila's first principle. The study reveals a nuanced picture where, on the one hand, there is an officially sanctioned list of recognized religions, and on the other, a ground reality where not all spiritual paths are treated equally. This divergence between policy and practice raises questions about the extent to which Indonesia's constitutional laws and its foundational Pancasila ideology are applied uniformly across its diverse religious landscape. The study serves as a steppingstone for further dialogue and research into the complexities of religious obligations and freedoms within Indonesia, particularly in the context of its legal and ethical framework.
