Abstract

Has been studied to determine the ability of creative thinking and mastery of the concept of students in learning biology class XI SMA Negeri 2 Pekanbaru. Research was conducted in January to March 2011 with sample student is 1 and XI IPA 2 SMA Negeri 2 Pekanbaru. This research is an experiment with a class XI IPA 1 as a classroom experiment and XI IPA 2 as the control class. The parameters used in the study of creative thinking skills and mastery of the concept of students. The result of creative thinking skills can be seen from the tests given to students in grade experiment that is equal to 69.40 with less category, while the control class at 56.60 with less category. The result of student’s mastery of concepts can also be seen from the tests given to students in grade experiment that is equal to 80.08 with a high category, while the control class at 68.29 to the medium category. Student learning outcomes can also be seen from the experimental class at 74.74 and 62.45 for the control class. Based on research that has been done, the model Problem Based Learning (PBL) in teaching biology showed better results in terms of creative thinking skills, mastery of concepts and student’s class XI IPA SMAN 2 Pekanbaru in Academic Year 2010/2011.Keywords: Creative Thinking, Concept Mastery, Problem Based Learning (PBL)

Abstract

Introduction Environmental damage in Indonesia is now seen to be severe and shows an increasing trend. The environment is the environment around humans, a place where organisms and inorganisms develop and interact. Environmental problems that arise are caused by moral and human behavior so that environmental awareness becomes very important to build a balance with nature.Method Descriptive quantitative research type. The sampling technique used was simple random sampling with a sample of 30 people. The research instrument used in this study was a questionnaire with a Likert scale. Data were analyzed with Pearson correlation using SPSS 23 for windows.Results Data were analyzed using the simple linear regression method, so as to obtain a significance of 0.100. This means that there is no relationship between environmental ethics with environmental awareness.Conclusions and Suggestions Based on the research that has been done, it can be concluded that there is no relationship between environmental ethics and environmental awareness.Keywords: environmental ethics, environmental awareness ABSTRAK Pendahuluan Kerusakan lingkungan di Indonesia saat ini sudah terlihat parah dan menunjukkan kecenderungan yang terus meningkat. Lingkungan hidup adalah lingkungan di sekitar manusia, tempat dimana organisme dan anorganisme berkembang dan berinteraksi. Masalah lingkungan hidup yang muncul disebabkan oleh moral dan perilaku manusia, sehingga kesadaran lingkungan menjadi hal yang sangat penting membangun keseimbangan dengan alamnya. Metode Jenis penelitian kuantitatif deskriptif. Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah simple random sampling dengan jumlah sampel 30 orang. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berupa kuesioner dengan skala likert. Data dianalisis dengan korelasi Pearson dengan menggunakan program SPSS 23 for windows. Hasil Data dianalisis menggunakan metode regresi linier sederhana, sehingga diperoleh jumlah signifikan sebesar 0,100. Artinya tidak terdapat hubungan antara etika lingkungan dengan kesadaran lingkungan. Kesimpulan dan Saran Berdasarkan penelitian yang sudah dilakukan didapatkan kesimpulan tidak terdapatnya hubungan antara etika lingkungan dengan kesadaran lingkungan.
