Abstract

Desa tangguh bencana (Destana) is a program aimed to make a village community prepared for and resilient to disasters. The Destana program was initiated by the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) decreed by the Regulation of the head of BNPB No. 1/2012. A village represents the bottom line in the government system and therefore the capacity building for disaster resilience starts from the villages. The number of villages in Central Java reaches 8559 villages, while BNPB, BPBD Province, BPBD Regency/City can only launch Destana on average 30 villages each year from 2013 - 2018. As a result, it takes quite a long time to forming Destana in all villages in Central Java. Therefore, the role of universities, in particular the state universities in forming Destana, is really needed. One of the activities in the formation of Destana was in the kuliah kerja nyata tematik program (KKN PRB) conducted in Purbalingga Regency in 2 villages that were prone to landslides. Provisioning for students refers to Perka BNPB Number 1/2012 by implementing 20 Destana indicators. Gunungwuled village and Panusupan village were the two villages where the KKN PRB done by 10 students each. For 45 days students could build several indicators, i.e. making disaster risk maps calculated based on hazard maps, vulnerability maps, and capacity maps. Next, they made a Landslide Contingency Planning Document with residents and relevant stakeholders. The Village Disaster Risk Reduction Forum consisting of various community components and the BPBD of Purbalingga Regency was also formed. Afterwards, the capacity building activities to the community against disasters were conducted. Finally, an early warning system for landslides in areas with potential landslides was created and warning signs for landslide-prone areas and evacuation route signs were installed. With the help of KKN PRB, the Panusupan village and Gunungwuled village have now become disaster resilient villages.

Abstract

A.S.I Seismograph Mod. 16S24-P, 3D Borehole Geophone Model GFA 60/100.

Abstract

It has been conducted a research about sea level rise (SLR) in surrounding Jawa island by using satellite altimetry data Topex/Poseidon, Jason-1 dan Jason-2 for period 2000 – 2010. Satellite altimetry is satellite which specially design for measuring dynamics of sea water. Those satellite lauched firstly in 1992 incorporation between National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) dan European Space Agency (ESA). There are six locations for measuring SLR i.e. Jakarta, Semarang, Surabaya, Pangandaran, Jogjakarta dan Prigi. We choselocations based on alongtrack of satellite and near the big cities in Jawa island with dimension area around 0.5ox0.5o degrees. We found SLR rate for Jakarta (2.5 ± 0.24 mm/yr), Semarang (2.16 ± 0.20 mm/yr), Surabaya (2.72 ± 0.19 mm/yr), Pangandaran (0.71 ± 0.33 mm/yr), Jogjakarta (0.91 ± 0.38 mm/yr) and Prigi (1.3 ± 0.38 mm/yr). The average SLR rate for North coast is (2.46 ± 0.21 mm/yr) and for South coast (0.97 ± 0.36 mm/yr). This results are wellcorrelated with data from tide gauge stations.

Abstract

It has been done a research about separation of regional-residual anomaly in Gravity method. This research compares the result of three methods i.e. moving average method, polynomial method, and inversion method. The computer program is created using a computer programming Matlab 7. From three methods that have been made, the separation results are compared withresults of separation by using Upward Continuation method. From the results of these comparisons will be available an excellent program of regional-residual anomali separation. The results show that in polynomial method of the order 4 obtained similar contour to the separation by Upward Continuation Software. So that the output of this separation will be treated again with Grav2DC software. The output of this software is the density of rock Grav2DC of the studyarea. Processing results obtained the minimum error of 1.85% for the separation by polynomial method, while for the method of Upward Continuation obtained minimum error of 2.22%. The results obtained show that the separation of regional-residual anomali by polynomial method is similar to separation by Upward Continuation method.

Abstract

It has been done a research about the determination of rock hardness level by using refraction seismic method in Jatikuwung Karanganyar. The research is done by using Seismograph PASI 16S24-P with the path length of 48 meters, distance between geophone 2 meters, 5 shots in each spread and there are four surveys part totally. The processing data is done by using SeisImager software with Plotrefa and Pickwin95 program. We use intercept time method for data processing. The determination of rock hardness use Gardner’s relationship formula. Based on interpretation, there are three layers lithology structure with P wave propagation velocity of 200-1800 m/s and its density of 1.17–1.93 gr/cc. Based on velocity analysis we determine the velocity of first layer is 200-700 m/s, second layer 700-1500 m/s, and third layer 1500-1800 m/s. The subsurface hardness lithology consists of top soil, sands and unsaturated pebble (1.17–1.59 gr/cc) with the depth 2–4 meters in the first layer, saturatedsands, saturated pebble, and alluvium (1.59–1.93 gr/cc) with the depth 9.5–11.5 meters in the second layer, and clay and sands (1.93–2.02 gr/cc) with the depth of 5.5–6 meters in the third layer. The rock hardness is located at the depth betwen 12 – 20 meters.

Abstract

Krendowahono, Gondangrejo, Karanganyar regency is located in the north of Surakarta city which is in 2019 the most affected area of drought. During August 2019 to November 2019, the village needs 2 to 5 water tanks dropping per day with a capacity of 5000 liters per tank. With such drought conditions, the villages government should provide clean water for their citizens. The method used for determining groundwater aquifers is the Geoelectric Method. This method works by injecting an electric current into the ground surface, then measuring the potential difference. Based on the obtained resistivity value, it can be interpreted at what depth there are groundwater aquifers. At the geoelectric survey location in Krendowahono village, it was found that the groundwater aquifer might be in layer 5 at a depth of 92.3 meters below, but the groundwater potential at this layer was not huge enough. Potential aquifers are likely to be from a depth of 92.3 meters to 110-120 meters.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has caught the world's attention which hascaused various impacts on life. The spread of the virus takes placerapidly through droplets or physical contact to encouragegovernments to implement policies such as washing hands activitiesusing soap cleanly and correctly. Kalikajar village government asone of the villages that are exposed Covid-19 in Purbalingga alsohave appealed to the people to always washing hands with soap. However, the availability of hand washing facilities is still limitedand the conditions are alarming due to the lack of communitymaintenance. Therefore, as a form of community service, KuliahKerja Nyata (KKN) of Sebelas Maret University has initiative tocreate washbasin based on stepping system that can be used bypeople to get clean and healthy living. The service implementationstages include survey and identification of partner problems, preparation of problem solving frameworks, problem solving solutionprograms, implementation of service programs, monitoring andevaluation. Manufacture of washbasin through the manufacturingprocess and framework design, painting, assembly, and testing. Thewashbasin is distributed in several locations in Kalikajar Village, such as the Kalikajar Village Hall Office, Baitul Ghufron Mosque, and Baitul Muslimin Mosque. The distribution activites to severallocations had help from local residents, takmir mosques, and villageheads Kalikajar. Through this washbasin, the UNS KKN Team hopesthat the community and village government officials can develop andremind each other of the habit of washing hands so that it indirectlyhelps the government in preventing Covid-19 transmission in thesurrounding community.
