Abstract

ABSTRACT: The aims of the research were to determine the effect of learning models on learning achievement viewed from students’ learning styles. The learning models compared were cooperative learning model Numbered Heads Together (NHT) with Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) approach, Numbered Heads Together (NHT) and conventional. This research was a quasi-experimental research using factorial design of 3x3. The population of the research were all students of the Public Junior High Schools (SMP Negeri) in Salatiga City. The samples of the research were seven grade students of SMP Negeri 2, SMP Negeri 5 and SMP Negeri 7 in Salatiga City (85 students for for first experimental class, 83 students for second experimental class, and 86 students for control class). The samples were chosen by using stratified cluster random sampling. In collecting the data, the instruments used were multiple-choice test of learning achievement in mathematics and student learning style questionnaire. The technique of analyzing the data was unbalanced two-ways Anova. The results of the research are as follows: (1) the cooperative learning model NHT with RME approach and cooperative learning model NHT result in the same good learning achievement in mathematics, and both result in a better learning achievement in mathematics than the conventional learning model; (2) there are no any differences in the learning achievement in mathematics of the students with the visual, auditory, and kinesthetic learning styles; (3) in each learning style, the cooperative learning model NHT with RME approach and cooperative learning model NHT result in the same good learning achievement in mathematics, and both result in a better learning achievement in Mathematics than the conventional learning model; (4) in each learning model, the students with the visual, auditory, and kinesthetic learning styles have the same learning achievement in mathematics. Abstract

Abstract: The objectives of this study were to know: (1) which one gives student better learning achievement, Numbered Heads Together learning process, Think Pair Share one  with Contextual Teaching and Learning, or conventional one, (2) which one having better learning achievement in mathematics, students who have the level of low  anxiety, medium one, or high one, (3) which level of anxiety in learning mathematics gives better learning achievements with Numbered Heads Together learning model, Think Pair Share one with Contextual Teaching and Learning approach one, or conventional one, (4) which learning model (Numbered Heads together, think pair share with contextual Teaching and Learning approach, or conventional) gives better learning achievement  in mathematics  toward the level of low anxiety, medium one , or high one.It was aquasi-experimentalstudy using twoindependent variables(model of learning andthe anxiety of learning mathematics) andonedependent variable(learning achievement of mathematics). The instruments used to collect the data were documentation,testing, andquestionnaires. Two-way ANOVA was used to analyze the data. The sample-taking was done using Sratified Cluster Random Sampling.The results of theresearchare. Abstract

Abstract:The aims of the research were to determine the effect of learning models on learning achievement viewed from student’s algebra count ability. The learning models compared were cooperative learning (Numbered Heads Together (NHT) with instrumental musical accompaniment & NHT) and direct learning. The research typewasaquasi-experimental research.The research’s population wasthe 7th-grade students of the State Junior High Schools in Magelang Regency.It’s sampleswere takenby using stratified cluster random sampling techniquewhichconsisted of 97 students in the first experiment group, 99 students in the second experiment group, and 96 students in the control group.The datawas analyzed by using the unbalanced two-ways analysis of variance at the significance level of 0.05.The results of this research are as follows: (1) the both cooperative learningmodels result in the same goodlearning achievement, but its resultin a better learning achievement than the direct learning model; (2) the learning achievement of the students with the high level of algebra count ability is better than that of those with the medium and the low levels of it, the learning achievement of the students with the medium level of algebra count ability is better than that of those with the low level of it; (3) in each levelsof algebra count ability shows thatthe both cooperative learningmodels result in the same good learning achievement, but its result in a better learning achievement than the direct learning model; (4) in each learning model shows that the learning achievement of the students with the high level of algebra count ability is better than that of those with the medium and the low levels of it, the learning achievement of the students with the medium level of algebra count ability is better than that of those with the low levelof it. Abstract

Abstract:The purpose of this research are to know: 1) which one gives better achievement in mathematics, learning model of GI with IRME approach, learning model of TPS with IRME approach, or conventional learning model, 2) which one gives better achievement in mathematics, student who was high creativity, middle creativity, or low creativity, 3) for each category of student’s creativity (high, middle, and low), which one produces better achievement in mathematics, learning model of GI with IRME approach, learning model of TPS with IRME approach or conventional learning model. This research is quasi-experimental research with the research plan using factorial 3´3. The population of this research was all students in class X in SMA/MA Surakarta academic year 2012/2013. The sample-taking was done using stratified cluster random sampling.  The instrument which was applied to obtain the data of the research was test, questionnaires, and documentation. The test instrument was used to know the mathematics achievement on three- dimensional material. Hence, questionnaires instrument was used to know the student’s creativity. The questionnaires instrument includes content validity, internal consistency and reliability. The test instrument includes content validity, level of difficulty, different power and reliability. The  results of  the  research  are (1) GI type of cooperative learning model with IRME approach provides better learning achievement than the TPS type with IRME approach, conventional learning in mathematic learning in three dimension material. The TPS type of cooperative learning provides the learning achievement as good as the conventional learning did in three dimension material of mathematic learning, (2) the students with high creativity level have mathematic learning achievement as good as those with medium creativity level, the students with medium creativity level have mathematic learning achievement as good as those with low creativity level, and the students with high creativity level have mathematic learning achievement better than those with low creativity level, (3) at each creativity level, the GI type of cooperative learning model application with IRME provided learning achievement better than both TPS type with IRME and conventional learning did. The TPS type of learning model with IRME approach provided learning achievement as good as the conventional learning did in three dimension material of mathematic learning. Abstract

Abstract: The aims of this research is to describe the level of Junior High School students’ creativity in solving divergent mathematical problem viewed from the students’ learning style.This study was qualitative descriptive reasearch. The subject of this research was 9 students from the ninth grade of MTSN Plupuh consisting of 4 students had visual learning style, 3 students had auditorial learning style, and 2 students had kinesthetic learning style. The researcher used purposive sampling and snowball method to select the subject. In collecting data, the researcher used grouping test in learning style, problem solving test of divergent mathematics, and interview. To techniques of data analysis in this research were as follows: (1) reducing data, (2) present of data in narrative text, (3) To conclude the level of students’ creativity at each learning style. The validity of data used time triangulation.Based on the research result, there are two findings as follows: main findings and other findings. The main findings shows that (1) the students with visual and auditorial learning styles can eligible to indicators of creativity, fluently and flexibility, so that those students have the third level of creativity (creative) in solving divergent mathematical problem, (2) While, the students with kinesthetic learning style can eligible to indicators of creativity, namely fluently. So that those students have the first level of creativity (less creative) in solving divergent mathematical problem. Then, the other findings data shows that (1) there are two students with visual learning style are identified having the second level (quite creative) and the forth level (very creative) of creativity in solving divergent mathematical problem, (2) while there is one student with auditorial learning style is identified not creative (level 0). Based on the findings, it can be concluded that the students’ learning styles affect to students’ creativity, so that the teacher should know and understand students’ learning style in order to determine the best method of learning process. Abstract

Abstract

Perilaku cuci tangan pakai sabun sangat efektif untuk mencegah penyakit. Cuci tangan didapatmelalui penyuluhan kesehatan menggunakan media video dan bernyanyi. Media video merupakanmedia yang efektif karena dapat dilihat secara langsung, sehingga minat siswa menjadi semakintertarik dan media bernyanyi sebagai pembelajaran mengembangkan meningkatkan rasa kesadaran.hasil observasi kepada 4 siswa terdapat 2 siswa melakukan cuci tangan dengan menggunakan sabundan 2 orang tidak. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui perbedaan pengaruh penyuluhankesehatan menggunakan media video dan bernyanyi terhadap keterampilan cuci tangan pakai sabun(CTPS) pada siswa TK PKK Indriarini Yogyakarta. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Quasi eksperimentdengan two group pre test - post test design.Tekhnik sampling menggunakan Consecutive Sampling,dan analisa data menggunakan McNemar Test dan Chi Square Test dengan 30 siswa sebagai sampel.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan sebelum penyuluhan kesehatan semua siswa kurang memilikiketerampilan CTPS yang benar 0% dan setelah dilakukan penyuluhan kesehatan keterampilan siswaperempuan meningkat 58,7 % dan 50,0% pada laki-laki. Dengan nilai p-value 0,005 untuk mediavideo dan 0,031 untuk media bernyanyi. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah ada perbedaan antarapenyuluhan kesehatan menggunakan media video dan bernyanyi terhadap keterampilan cuci tanganpakai sabun (CTPS).
