Abstract

Assessment and evaluation must always be carried out. The evaluation process is one of the teacher's tasks that will determine the direction of the next learning process. Therefore, the teacher must be skilled in compiling the question test instrument, one of which is a matter of description. Regarding this objective, teachers need to be equipped with ways to prepare these instruments so that the quality of the questions made meets the standards and by the indicators of learning. Briefing on the science teachers MGMPs Kediri shows that teachers already have skills in preparing the description of the test instrument with a percentage of 53.12% about the level and 46.88% HOTS LOTS level. Based on the results, the skills of science teachers in Kediri District are not expectations.  The teachers must continue to practice in making the test instruments.

Abstract

The use of virtual lab-based students worksheet in science learning aims to optimize practicum activities during the pandemic. Virtual-based students worksheet take advantage of the features that are already available and adapted to the material to be practiced, so knowledge is needed to develop virtual lab-based students worksheet s. The activity of compiling virtual lab-based students worksheet was attended by science teacher participants from private schools in Gresik Regency, with the One Group Pretest Posttest design. Activity participants were given a pretest and then compiled a virtual lab-based students worksheet and posttest. The resulting students worksheet is assessed for feasibility using the students worksheet assessment instrument. The pretest and posttest data were analyzed by N-gain showing an increase of 0.64 in the medium category. The assessment of the participant students worksheet shows that the virtual lab-based students worksheet that have been created are in accordance with the instructions, the category is very feasible, so that it can be implemented as an effort to optimize science practicum during the pandemic.

Abstract

Penelitian yang dilakukan bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan keefektifan lembar kegiatan siswa (LKS) berbasis discovery learning pada materi tekanan zat cair untuk meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains siswa. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMPN 1 Jombang pada kelas VIII-I dengan jumlah peserta didik sebanyak 28. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan dengan menggunakan metode pengembangan yaitu metode Research and Development (R&D) yang dibatasi sampai pada tahap uji coba lapangan. Hasil penelitian keefektifan LKS berbasis discovery learning dapat ditinjau dari hasil analisis pre-test dan post-test siswa. Analisis hasil pretest dan posttest menunjukkan bahwa sebesar 19 siswa memperoleh nilai N-Gain dalam kategori tinggi dan 9 siswa memperoleh kategori sedang. Hasil penelitian menujukkan bahwa LKS berbasis discovery learning pada materi tekanan zat cair dinyatakan layak digunakan berdasarkan aspek kelayakan efektivitas.   Kata Kunci: Keefektifan LKS, Discovery Learning, Keterampilan Proses Sains.

Abstract

Penelitian ini  bertujuan untuk menganalisis keefektifan media pembelajaran video animasi pada materi lapisan bumi ditinjau dari hasil pemahaman konsep siswa SMP. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian “One group pretest-posttest design”. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 28 siswa kelas VII-D SMP Negeri 3 Sidoarjo. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan metode tes. Indikator pemahaman konsep yang digunakan adalah memberi contoh, mengkategorikan, membandingkan dan menjelaskan. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah pada indikator memberi contoh memperoleh n-gain sebesar 0,84 dengan kategori tinggi, indikator mengkategorikan memperoleh n-gain sebesar 0,67 dengan kategori sedang, indikator menmbandingkan memperoleh n-gain sebesar 0,69 dengan kategori sedang dan indikator menjelaskan memperoleh n-gain sebesar 0,68 dengan kategori sedang. Indikator membandingkan mendapatkan nilai posttest yang paling rendah dan indikator memberi contoh mendapatkan nilai posttest yang paling tinggi. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa media video animasi sebagai media pembelajaran pada materi lapisan bumi sangat efektif digunakan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konsep siswa. Kata Kunci: Video Animasi, Pemahaman Konsep, Lapisan Bumi.

Abstract

When online learning students often then to less responsive especially when asking questions, it is necessary to have a strategy that can train student skills. The aims of this study was describe students written and oral communication skills during online learning by applying the active knowledge strategy of energy in living systems substances. This study type uses descriptive qualitative. Data from the observations were analyzed and then described. The results showed that most of students communication in the good category. The highest written communication skills in the indicator of organizing concept of 87,2 in the very good category. The lowest written communication skill is in the aspect of writing problem solving accurately and clearly at 71,4 in the good category. The highest students oral communication skill is the indicator of clarity/good articulation when speaking was 81,6 with the very good category. The lowest oral communication skill is the indicator of asking questions of 47,3 with a quite good category. Mind mapping is used to develop ideas, and creativity that students have. Learning uses the active knowledge sharing strategy provide many opportunities to communicate their opinions.

Abstract

The research carried out aims to describe the validity of the Congklak game on solar system material for seventh grade junior high school students. This research was conducted at SMPN 2 Pungging with a total of 24 students. This research is a development research that is using the ADDIE development model. The resulting data instrument was in the form of a study sheet and a validation sheet. The results of the research on the validity of the Congklak game can be reviewed from the results of the validation sheet and the study sheet that has been filled in by expert lecturers and science subject teachers. Analysis of the results on the validation sheet is obtained an average mode value of 4. The conclusion of this study is the validity of the developed Congklak game consists of several aspects namely the content aspect, linguistic aspects, media presentation aspects, and aspects of the game function get a very decent category used with a feasibility mode value of 4.

Abstract

The purpose of this research to describe the responses of students in Junior High School toward development of Guided Inquiry on the liquid pressure material. This research uses quantitative descriptive data collection techniques used by questionnaire (questionnaire) after guided inquiry instruction. Respondents were 30 students of class VIII A and 30 students of class VIII B Junior High School of 17 Surabaya. The results showed that all the aspects contained in the student questionnaire responses showed 96% in VIII A with very good category and 90% in VIII B with very good category.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the results of the validation of the Truth and Dare card game for seventh grade junior high school students on environmental pollution material. The media created are used to improve the learning outcomes of the remaining junior high schools based on validity, practicality and effectiveness. This research is a research development using the Research and Development (R&D) method which consists of five stages namely determination of potential and problems, information gathering, product design, review and revision, and validation. The data generated in the form of the results of the study sheet and the results of the validation sheet with 4 criteria namely linguistic criteria, presentation criteria, content criteria, and criteria for game functions. The Truth and Dare card game media review sheet aims to find things that are considered inappropriate for the Truth and Dare card game media. The results of the review sheets that have been reviewed are the linguistic criteria to reproduce the questions containing the C3 and C4 domains and the content criteria to adjust the game card points to the question domain. On the validation, sheet knows the validator's assessment of the level of eligibility or validity of the Truth and Dare card game media. In the validation sheet results obtained mode of 4 with a very decent category and a percentage of the validity of 97.6% with a very valid category. Then it can be concluded that the media of Truth and Dare card games as learning media on environmental pollution material is suitable for use in learning based on the results of studies and validation.

Abstract

The research aimed to describes the effectivity of Tic Tac Toe game based on in terms of increasing students' understanding towards of concepts human excretory system. The type of research used was Research and Development (R & D) design within which it had been limited to pilot project. The pilot project involved 30 students at SMP Negeri 40 Surabaya level of grade 8th. The instruments used in this research is conceptual understanding test sheets. The understanding of test results was analyzed using the N-gain formula. The results of the effectiveness study of the developed Tic Tac Toe game can be reviewed from the results of the students' pretest and posttest analysis. Analysis of students' pretest and posttest results showed that the acquisition of an N-gain score of 0.71 with high criteria. It can be concluded that the Tic Tac Toe game developed is very suitable to be used as a learning medium and is able to increase students' understanding of concepts.

Abstract

This study aims to produce student worksheet based on effective human respiratory system material literacy. The subjects of this study were 33 grade VIII students of SMPN 3 Sidoarjo. This type of research was a quantitative descriptive study, One Group Pretest and Posttest Design. Effectiveness was determined by the results of the pretest, posttest and N-gain. The results showed that learning using student worksheet based on literacy is effective and can improve student learning outcomes. Effectiveness was reviewed from the learning outcomes obtained based on an increase in n-gain of 0.73 with a high category. The effectiveness results showed that 54.54% of students gained high n-gain score and 45.45% received medium n-gain score. For summing up, student worksheet based on scientific literacy is said to be effective and can improve learning outcomes and can be used in the learning process.
