Abstract

This paper discusses how to avoid plagiarism in a research paper. Avoiding plagiarism is part of a scientific writing ethic that always stated in any publication. Every writer should pay attention to their papers submitted to a journal or a scientific forum that they are free from unethical conduct. Writing a research paper needs overall accuracy especially in avoiding plagiarism in the paper that is to be published in a journal or to be presented at a certain scientific meeting, seminar or symposium. It is based on writers’ experience as a paper writer as well as a journal reviewer. The first application that the writers use is ‘checker’, a Mac computer application, used to check spelling and grammar. It assists the writers to check how misspelling and an ungrammatical inaccuracy in the writers’ papers. The second free application is ‘plagiarism checker’. Checking originality of a paper is essential and it is not too difficult to do today. It is freely accessible that plagiarism checker can be used to check how original the paper is. By visiting “Google” then write down ‘plagiarism checker’, it will appear ‘smallseatools’ and then the writers could choose and check how original the paper is. This application is freely accessed and helps immensely to check how original a paper is and how far a paper is free from plagiarism. The unoriginal phrase will be underlined and marked red and finally will be shown how inimitable the paper is. Plagiarism scan report which consists of the date of the report, plagiarism status, total words and total characters can be downloaded.

Abstract

Keterampilan menulis aktivitas bisnissangat diperlukansebagaibagian darikemahiranberbahasaIndonesia.  Saat ini kemampuan menulis mahasiswa di Politeknik Negeri Bali masihkurangmemadai. Untukmeningkatkankemampuanmenulis tersebut diperlukankreativitas dosen dalam merancang pengajaran yangtepat.Model perancangan pengajaran menulis berbasis semiotik jarang mendapat sentuhan dari pengajar. Oleh karena itu, pada kajian ini dirancang model perancangan tugas menulis berbasis semiotik yang khusus diperuntukkan bagi mahasiswa di program studi bisnis. Artikelinimembahasbagaimanapenerapan model perancangan tugas menulisberbasis semiotik untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan kewirausahaan mahasiswa, khususnya dalam hal menulis aktivitas bisnis.  Metode yang digunakan dalam pengumpulan data adalah metode simak, wawancara,dankuesioner kepada147mahasiswa di Jurusan Administrasi Niaga, Politeknik Negeri Bali, tahun 2019/2020. Data yang terkumpul diolah dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan mengacu pada profil kemampuan menulis (ESL composition profile). Hasilpenelitianinimenunjukkanbahwa94,6% responden mengatakanbahwamodel perancangan tugas menulis berbasis semiotik  ini mampu mendukung  pengetahuan kewirausahaan.  Dari  hasil analisis  juga dapat  disimpulkan  bahwa   rata-rata kemampuan menulis mahasiswa dengan menggunakan model perancangan tugas menulis berbasis semiotik sebesar 77,5 yang berarti sudah tergolong dalam kategori baik dengan kisaran tingkat keterbacaan (fog index) antara 10-14.

Abstract

The research on the development of "Listening" practice using Text2Speech Applications aims to develop teaching of English, ‘Listening’ for teachers and students who are not experts in the field of information technology. This study tries to discuss how to adopt and adapt Text-to-Speech software / applications in teaching and learning of English. Text2Speech is a computer application (software) that makes it possible to convert written text into spoken text so that it can be heard. By using the Text2Speech application, written text in MS Word format can be converted into spoken text. Text2Speech allows any text to be read in a computer-synthesized voice. By utilizing Text2Speech, written text can be read and sounded so that it can be heard by the user. Text2Speech allows users to determine how to pronounce a word, phrase, sentence, and even text or parts of text. By utilizing the Text2Speech application, teachers and students get "listening" learning materials in native speakers' voices, so that students get used to hearing "listening" teaching materials from native speakers.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic based on Presidential Decree Number 12 of 2020 was declaredon April 13, 2020.  During this Pandemic, many companies offer their shares to the public or known as Initial Public Offering (IPO). This study aims to find out the highest abnormal returns of the issuers' stock after the IPO during the Covid-19 Pandemic. The sample used in this study was 70 companies that IPO on the IDXafter pandemic status was declared in Indonesia, namely from April 15, 2020-November 25, 2021. This research is a descriptive quantitative research anddescriptive statistical analysis techniques was used to calculate abnormal returns and cumulative abnormal returns of each stock. The results showed that cumulatively, the highest abnormal return of 70 stocks within 20 months was owned by TECH shares in the technology sector with a cumulative abnormal return value of 23,562. Meanwhile, the lowest value is owned by DEPO shares in the consumer cyclicals sector with a cumulative abnormal return of 0.624. The results of this study can be used as considerationby investors who want to invest in IPO stocks during prolonged outbreaks such as the Covid-19 Pandemic.

Abstract

Desa Pelaga terkenal dengan asparagus sebagai hasil pertanian unggulan dengan kualitas baik yang berpotensi untuk dikemas menjadi paket wisata untuk menguatkan keberadaan Desa Wisata Pelaga. Tujuan utama kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah melakukan penguatan Desa Wisata Pelaga melalui pelatihan pembuatan paket wisata Asparagus Cooking Class. Metode pelatihan yang digunakan adalah mengelompokan peserta menjadi Kelompok Packaging dan Kelompok Cooking, penyuluhan dan demonstrasi pembuatan paket wisata Asparagus Cooking Class diberikan kepada kelompok packaging, penyuluhan, dan demontrasi memasak diberikan kepada Kelompok Cooking, melakukan evaluasi untuk menidentifikasi kondisi awal dan akhir peserta. Hasil pelatihan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kemampuan peserta baik dalam kelompok packaging maupun Kelompok Cooking. Kelompok Packaging mampu membuat paket wisata dengan memasukkan unsur atraksi memasak asparagus sebagai daya tarik utama paket wisata Asparagus Cooking Class dengan baik, Kelompok Cooking mampu mendemonstrasikan pembuatan menu masakan berbahan dasar asparagus dengan baik. Hasil kegiatan ini diharapkan dapat memberi penguatan pada Desa Wisata Pelaga dalam penyediaan pilihan produk yang dapat menarik minat wisatawan untuk melakukan kunjungan ke desa Pelaga. Membuat kemasan potensi lokal hasil pertanian unggulan asparagus menjadi paket wisata cooking class memberi kontribusi pilihan produk unik penciri khas Desa Wisata Pelaga. Keterlibatan masyarakat dalam kegiatan penting adanya untuk mendukung keberadaan desa wisata sebagai aset milik warga desa dalam bingkai pariwisata berbasis masyarakat.
