Abstract

Udayana University is education institutions that has implemented an online learningsystem. The system requires fast and reliable access to internet so students can access themefficiently. In order to meet the need for internet access, it requires to provide infrastructure thatis able to keep internet services running smoothly. Network Monitoring requires an applicationcalled Network Monitoring System. There are many network monitoring applications availablefor free, which provides many option for network operators to carry out monitoring functions.LibreNMS is a popular application because LibreNMS has many features, such as: autodiscovering,flexible and diverse alerting system, comfortable user interface with a dashboardthat can be adjusted to user needs and has wide community support. LibreNMS allows networkadministrators to monitor performance on the network so that it is always available. This studyaims to build a network monitoring system on the Sudirman Campus of Udayana Universityusing LibreNMS. The test results show that LibreNMS is able to display traffic conditions andresource usage on every network device that is monitored.

Abstract

This study examines the power consumption of the Arduino-based rocket payload position tracking system. The system device consists of Arduino Mega 2560, Sensor Compass, Barometer Sensor, GPS (Global Positioning System) Sensor, LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) character, Xbee-Pro 900HP, and two servo motors. Testing is done using a Digital Watt Meter tool that is able to read the voltage, current, and power used in the system. Test method by observing digital watt meter when the system runs tracking the rocket payload. Data retrieval interval is once every 10 minutes for 1 hour and calculates usage time, until the battery reaches the maximum usage limit. This research has been carried out successfully. When test performs on interval of 1 hour, the power usage by the system is 0.470 Ah until the battery voltage reaches 11.8 volts and the average power reaches 5.56 watts. Usage time of a Li-Po 1300 mAh battery is 3 hours 56 minutes until the battery voltage reaches 10.08 volts.

Abstract

This research aims to observe and find out the availability value of the system that provides website access of the Electrical Engineering Study Program at the Faculty of Engineering, Udayana University. To find the availability values, data collection was carried out on each network devices by using a network monitoring program called CACTI based on Simple Network Management Protocol. The data were in the form of PING Latency from each network devices consisting of one server, two switches, and two routers. From the PING Latency data, then the value of Mean Time to Failure and Mean Time to Recover can be calculated which is used to determine the availability value of the network device. After all network devices had the availability values, then a calculation was made to determine the availability value of the entire website service provider system of the Electrical Engineering Study Program, Faculty of Engineering, Udayana University which from the result of this research found that Electrical Enginering’s Website has availability values of 99.9%.

Abstract

The important thing to consider in the process of sending optical fiber network signals is theselection of line coding types. Line coding is a process of converting digital data into digital signals sothat they can be transmitted in optical fiber networks. Line codings commonly used are NRZ and RZ.Therefore, this research discussed the comparison of the performance of NRZ and RZ line codings infiber-optic networks in terms of Q-Factor, BER, and Eye Diagram. The result of this research was thecharacteristic form of the electric signal line coding NRZ with one data element using one signalelement, while in the RZ coding line, one data element used two signal elements. The maximum risetime variable using the RZ coding line is 0.3 bits, while the NRZ coding line is 0.7 bits. The bestrectangle shape model using line coding RZ is sine while line coding NRZ is exponential. Themaximum bit rate using the RZ coding line is 11.5 Gbps while using the NRZ coding line is 18 Gbps.The maximum transmission distance using the RZ and NRZ coding line is 75 km. Another output ofthis research is a practicum module that can be used by students of the Electrical Engineering StudyProgram to understand optical communication systems, especially line coding RZ and NRZ. Based onthe results of student assessments of 87.6% and the post-test score which is higher than the pre-testscore, the practicum module is feasible as teaching material.

Abstract

In this journal, a new network is designed in the area of Udayana University, Bukit JimbaranCampus using Cisco Packet Tracer. The purpose of this design is to build a network that can improveefficiency in the process of exchanging data and information. The design uses one dynamic routing,namely Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol (EIGRP). EIGRP was chosen because thisprotocol is the only protocol that has a backup system. In addition, the network that is designed alsouses a ring topology, with the consideration that the ring topology is the best topology for buildingnetworks with service areas in the form of rotations. Analysis of the designed network performancehas been carried out by sending PING with several scenarios to obtain packet loss, throughput, anddelay parameter values. Based on the research results obtained the same packet loss parametervalue for each case that is 0%, the average value of throughput is 4,398 bps, and the average delayvalue is 10.125 ms. The three results of each of these parameters meet the requirements of theTIPHON in the excellent category and have a class 4 index.

Abstract

This study aims to compare VMware server virtualization technology and Xen server that simulates hardware into the software. In order to share loads can be balanced on both virtual servers, this research used HAproxy as Load Balancing which is implemented on Apache Web Server so performance from CPU usage side, memory and access speed from VMware and Xen server virtualization can be compared. By comparing these two models, it is expected to be used as a reference for selecting virtualization models for shared resource needs on one or more physical servers. From the results of testing in this study, it was found that the performance of VMware is better than Xen when viewed from the CPU usage. CPU usage in VMware is lower than Xen with 1.57% when handling one website and 1.58% when handling two websites. In terms of memory usage Xen Server is more efficient in memory usage when compared to VMware, Xen is more efficient memory of 29.11% and 34.84% for handling one and two websites when compared to VMware. While in terms of data access speed on Xen faster than VMware, which is about 42,132 Kbps.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk merancang bangun robot humanoid yang dapat berjalan dengan stabil dan tidak mudah jatuh. Robot humanoid ini dirancang agar dapat mengikuti ajang perlombaan Kontes Robotika Indonesia kategori robot humanoid sepak bola yang diselenggarakan oleh Kemenristekdikti. Robot dapat berjalan dengan stabil pada lapangan berumput dan mampu menggiring bola lalu memasukannya ke gawang lawan. Robot yang digunakan menggunakan 8 servo dynamixel AX-12 dan 10 servo dynamixel AX-18. Robot dilengkapi dengan sebuah kamera pada bagian kepala robot dengan rangka akrilik. Untuk mendeteksi kemiringan robot digunakan sensor MPU6050. Kontrol utama yang digunakan adalah Raspberry Pi. Robot dikatakan stabil jika selama melakukan pergerakan robot tidak mudah terjatuh. Untuk mencapai kestabilan pergerakan robot secara statis perlu diperhatikan titik COG (Center of Gravity) dari robot agar selalu tegak lurus dengan support polygon atau tumpuan robot.. Hasil dari pengujian sensor MPU6050 menunjukkan ketika robot miring ke depan atau ke belakang maka output sumbu Y mengalami perubahan dan ketika miring ke kiri atau ke kanan maka output sumbu X akan berubah. Pengujian gerakan statis robot menunjukan bahwa robot berhasil tidak terjatuh selama berjalan.

Abstract

This study aims to monitor the air quality of Denpasar city with mobile station that can transmit air content information in mobile and real time. This mobile station was built using Wemos D1 Mini Board which is a small wifi board based on ESP8266. Information sent via the Wemos D1 board is information obtained from sensors MQ-7 and MQ-135 and DHT11. DHT11, MQ-7 and MQ-135 sensors can detect the temperature, CO and NH3 gas, NOx, alcohol, benzene, smoke and CO2. Information obtained from the sensors will be posted on a website so that people can know the level of air pollution in the city of Denpasar. This developed monitoring system has successfully displayed data in the form of a folder on the web server.

Abstract

One of the changes in the field of telecommunications is the use of wireless technology. Wireless technology is applied to computer networks better known as Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN). Network coverage quality measurements can be seen from categories of delay or suspension, excess queues on the network, increased traffic, and output results. By using Wi-Fi Analyzer and Ekahau software we get the Quality of Service (QoS) value to see how good the coverage of the existing wireless network is. The result of the measurement is analyzed to get the adjustment of the wireless area coverage formula so that it can find the maximum range used as a reference in placing the ideal access point. The addition of access point points is done on all buildings where at some point the area can not be reached as a whole.

Abstract

Artificial intelligence or AI is a technology that emphasizes machine intelligence in respondinglike humans, developed to help support human work. AI has widely applied in various fieldssuch as industry, medical, education, business, and robotics. The development of AI in the fieldof robotics produces autonomous robots, one example is the KRSBI-Beroda soccer robot. Thisresearch discusses the application of AI in the design of object detection systems using thesingle-shot multibox detector (SSD) model on the KRSBI-Beroda soccer robot. This study aimsto produce an AI model in the form of an artificial neural network (ANN) implanted in the soccerrobot to distinguish between ball, goal, robot, and obstacle objects. This object detection systemwas built using a deep learning method assisted by the TensorFlow Object Detection APIframework using the MobileNetV2 SSD model which is run using the python programminglanguage on the NVIDIA Jetson Nano board which is integrated into the C922 Pro webcamcamera. The model was built using a dataset of 977 images consisting of 3064 objects thatwere trained as many as 200,000 steps on Google Colaboratory. The results showed a modelwith an average mAP of 0.80 with an average total loss of 1.5. Validation of the model resultedin a success rate of object prediction with an average accuracy of up to 98.45%.
