Abstract

ABSTRACT: RELATIONSHIP WITH ANEMIA IN ELEMENTARY CHILDREN IN TANJUNG SENANG REGENCY, BANDAR LAMPUNG Background: Anemia is a condition in which the number of red blood cells or the hemoglobin concentration in them is less than normal. WHO in the World Wide Prevalence of Anemia reports that the total population of the world who suffer from anemia is 1.62 billion people with a prevalence in primary school children (25.4%) and 305 million school children worldwide suffer from anemia. In general, the cause of anemia is nutritional deficiencies, especially iron deficiency and parasitic infections such as worms. Worms is an infectious disease caused by parasites in the form of worms. Objective: Knowing the Relation between Worms and Anemia in Elementary School Children in In Tanjung Senang District Bandar Lampung in 2020. Method: This type of research is quantitative research and analytical observational research methods with a cross sectional approach with the Chi Square test. Sampling was done using Quota Sampling. The sample in this study were 63 people. Results: The results of the Chi Square test showed p-value = 0.000, which is less than the significance value of 5% (0.05), this shows that there is a significant relationship between worms and anemia in elementary school children in Tanjung Senang, Bandar Lampung, in 2020. Conclusion: There is a significant relationship between helminths and the incidence of anemia in elementary school children in Tanjung Senang, Bandar Lampung, in 2020. Keywords: Worms, Anemia Incidence  ABSTRAK: HUBUNGAN KECACINGAN DENGAN KEJADIAN ANEMIA PADA ANAK SEKOLAH DASAR DI KECAMATAN TANJUNG SENANG BANDAR LAMPUNG Pendahuluan: Anemia merupakan suatu kondisi dimana jumlah sel darah merah atau konsentrasi hemoglobin di dalamnya kurang dari biasanya.

Abstract

Thalassemia is a disease of hemolytic anemia characterized by abnormalities in globin chain synthesis. Continuous transfusion in patients with thalassemia can cause iron buildup or accumulation of iron so that ferritin levels increase in the body, especially in the liver, heart, and endocrine organs. Problems in the endocrine glands and the condition of anemia can interfere with the growth of children, causing a decrease in appetite and cause a lack of nutrition into the body. The purpose of the research is to know the correlation between ferritin levels with nutritional status in Thalassemia patients β Major children. This research uses an analytic observational method with a cross-sectional approach. The subjects in the study were 60 patients. The instrument used was medical record data. The results of statistical analysis using the Chi-Square test showed a p-value of 0.02 (p-value <0.05) which means that there is a relationship between ferritin levels and nutritional status in Thalassemia patients β Major children in Abdul Moeloek Hospital, Bandar Lampung Year 2019. There is a correlation between ferritin levels with nutritional status in patients with Thalassemia β Major children at Abdul Moeloek Hospital in Bandar Lampung in 2019.

Abstract

Thalassemia is a genetic blood disorder that can cause hemolysis in hemoglobin. So the patient must get a transfusion for life. The transfusion is done continuously, this is what causes patients with thalassemia β major to have iron buildup in their body. So the levels of Ferritin, SGOT, and SGPT enzymes can be increased in patients with β major thalassemia. This study aims to determine the relationship between serum ferritin with SGOT and SGPT enzymes in thalassemia β major patients. This research uses an analytic method with a cross-sectional approach. The subjects in this study were 60 samples. The instrument used was the patient's medical record data. Statistical analysis using the Chi-Square test showed a p-value 0.005 (p-value <0.05) for serum ferritin with SGOT. And for serum ferritin with SGPT enzymes, p-value 0.004 (p-value <0.05), it means that there is a relationship between serum ferritin and SGOT and SGPT enzymes. There is a correlation between serum ferritin with SGOT and SGPT enzymes in β major thalassemia patients at Abdul Moeloek Hospital Bandar Lampung.

Abstract

Thalassemia is hemolytic anemia characterized by abnormalities in globin chain synthesis. Hemochromatosis and tissue hypoxia due to anemia are hormonal factors due to the accumulation of iron in the endocrine glands. Problems with endocrine glands and anemia can interfere with growth such as short posture. This study was to determine the correlation of serum ferritin levels with the incidence of stunting in beta-thalassemia major children in Abdul Moeloek Hospital in Lampung in 2019. This research uses an observational analytic method with a cross-sectional approach. The subjects in the study were 60 patients. The instrument used was medical record data. Statistical analysis using the Chi-Square test showed an association between ferritin levels and the incidence of Stunting in Thalassemia patients β Major children at Abdul Moeloek Hospital in Bandar Lampung in 2019 (p-value 0.018. OR 4.67). There is a relationship between ferritin levels with the incidence of Stunting in Thalassemia patients β Major children at Abdul Moeloek Hospital, Bandar Lampung in 2019.

Abstract

Background: Indonesia ranks 7th with the most diabetes mellitus in the world. BPJS Health as the organizer of the social security program applies the Chronic Disease Management Program (Prolanis) accompanied by a special HbA1c examination for diabetics. The results of the HbA1c examination can be influenced by various factors, one of which is in compliance with Prolanis. Research Objectives: To find out the relationship between compliance with BPJS PROLANISTS and HbA1c examination results in patients with diabetes mellitus in health centers. Research Methods: This research is a quantitative analytic study with a cross-sectional design. The sampling technique in the form of total sampling. The sample of this study was Prolanis participants with diabetes mellitus at the Kedaton Health Center. The instrument of this research was the medical record of Prolanis participants and the attendance of Prolanis. Research Results: Chi-square statistical test results with fisher exact alternative test found no relationship with the results of p = 1,000 (p> 0.05). Conclusion: There is no relationship between adherence to following Prolanis with the results of the HbA1c examination.
